First time registering after watching NetworkChuck, recommending this site and I get a signup rejection immediatly for "fraudulent behaviour" after filling in my details correctly with my card information. Horrible time wasting company. Stay away!

I cant even sign up, kept getting rejected by "automated system" for "fraudulent patterns" like what the hell????? I tried paypal credit and debit card and all got rejected, linode is racist just cuz i'm not from the USA doesnt mean i'm a fraud! I sent them support e-mail no response at all. I heard linode was good but looks like it's a scam wont even let me use it

I tired hosting two WordPress sites on linode. They worked fine for about 2 weeks and then I started getting a 404 litespeed error. Could not even access the admin section to either make a maintenance page or even take a backup.
All ssl certs were issued just fine and cyberpanel access worked and showed no errors in logs. Just magically stopped working. No reason that I could find.
When site was accessed, it kept throwing an ssl error with the root domain cert pointing to the mail sub domain cert. Even a hard reboot of the servers did not fix the problem.
Again, the sites were working fine for two weeks. No changes were made. Just happened for no reason I can ascertain.
Moving both sites to vultr, where I have 8 other sites. Linode was an experiment that failed miserably.
Do not touch.

Edit: Is the ticketing system broken? - When did the process change from creating a ticket to needing to call?

They advertised that they are giving free $100 credit. But, if we signup, they cancel our signup without even allowing us to know why they cancelled our account. Additionally, we are unable to contact them via email or phone. I sent an email, no response. Tried to call, no one pick up the call. Worst experience! Linode = Sh*** Support. Stay away from this fraud company, guys!

Works fine. Until you need support.
I have been a customer from more than 10 years, have a dozen of VMs with them. Product is overall ok. But they are very, very bad at support. My main VM went down today because of some HW issue, they simply don't answer any messages, I don't have any idea on what they are doing and for how long we'll be out. Awful communication. And it was the same on previous issues. Can't recommend them, and will have to find an alternative.

Lots to like with them after moving from a competitor. Value pricing and they are way better at batting off fake DMCA notices and take due care to only follow through if it's correct and valid. Other hosts take clearly abusive reports and treat them seriously.

I live in India and have had no issues with their services including deploying servers worldwide. Not sure about what the others are ranting about but my experience was smooth. I have been using their services since years and its all smooth.

All good , but I get an email returned within 10 minutes basically saying I am a criminal, denied an account and warned not to re-apply. No explanation , basically BIG BROTHER. Both email and phone i have had for a long time.

My record is so clean i do not even have a parking ticket in the last 10 years so what gives. I understand whats going on here. The social CREDIT score is activated. THIS IS PLAIN DENIAL OF SERVICE based on nothing. PERIOD.
This company was acquired by acquired by Akamai Technologies on March 21, 2022.[ We effectively live in China, this is outrageous. This is not the only account i had problems with.

I created a new account and minutes after giving my credit card information they cancelled my account. I have never had any problem of that nature, in fact I have subscriptions in competitor's services without any problem.
I then tried to contact support via email but received no response.
First and last experience, I do not recommend it at all.
Bloody fraudsters, they accuse customers of being frauds
The company charge my card and ban my account. I can't trust linode at all. Just a bunch of liars

I have been using their services for about 5 years. Recently tried creating account for another customer but it failed. I thought may be there is some problem in the email address or credit card info so I tried several combinations and none of them worked. Whatever I do they always reject the new account creation saying "This was due to activity or patterns associated with fradulent behaviour". It seems after aquisition by Akamai they people from Linode dont want to get new customers.

I have had several linodes over many years and have had no issues with their support or payment handling. The servers have been reliable and downtime has been negligible. My over-all experience is positive and good.
