What type of fraud ? seriously ?
I was excited to use Linode after reading customer reviews
But now , I think I'll keep using AWS

Disgraceful company refusing to cancel my services after being locked out of my account and have been charging me for months despite me telling them I can't use my services. Asked for proof of who I am to cancel my services and apparently my proof wasn't sufficient yet it blatantly is. Absolutely disgraceful will never use them again, will never recommend them again.

Linode auto takes my money while there are no any active VPS. This is scam. Then they refuse to refund after looted my 30$

Great hosting company and their technical support is very good. If you know how to manage your own servers with a little bit of support from time to time, then Linode is a great option.
I've had a good experience with Linode. Their pricing and systems are easy to understand and fair. Well executed.
They have the fastest network I've tested. The fastest access to anywhere in the US. Servers are inexpensive and at a good price. I recommend to try. People were given $100, and they complain. I do not understand.
I have a VPS on Linode for more than two years. The machine went unavailable a few times, but got back to work rather quickly. Last year, it is very stable. The support is good. Many locations and services available.

Stay away from these scammers !
I got the 100$ trial credit to test their services, after the 100$ were consumed, they started charging me without me knowing anything

Impossible to sign up. I create an account then get an email saying "your registration did not
meet the criteria we use to approve new accounts" and no further explanation of the reason why. Very peculiar and a waste of time and effort.
The email also weirdly says "If you do not receive a reply, this means the decision to cancel the account could not be overturned."
as if they expect me to sit here waiting to receive an email that they will probably never send. No thanks!

My account was cancelled. I don't know why since no explanation was given. Reading reviews here, I am not alone in experiencing this disrespectful treatment.
Linode even has the impudence to include the following line in their email:
"If you do not receive a reply, this means the decision to cancel the account could not be overturned."
So they expect you to sit around waiting for a reply to your email which may never arrive. Linode couldn't care less about wasting your time.
A recurring theme with cheap VPS providers seems to be the lack of any form of customer service. They don't give two hoots! (And that's the polite way of saying it.)
Reply to Linode: I do not know why the account was closed because you never bothered to provide a reason. Yes, I have also received poor treatment from other companies (UpCloud, Digital Ocean) with zero customer service just like Linode.
Warning to other potential Linode customers: Never trust any of these cheap VPS companies that do not have a phone number listed on their website. I would recommend AWS Lightsail for a basic VPS. Amazon is a company with decent customer service and civilised behaviour - unlike Linode.

Awful experience. There is a 100$ trial, no matter what I try, I always were rejected. My card was valid, everything was correct, they just don't want to give that "free" trial. Also there was multiple $1 fees, every time I try. Tried contacting the support, no answer. Do not recommend!!

Linode allow websites such as uk420club.com to run on their servers. uk420club.com is a scam site, scamming hundreds of people daily. I contacted Linode to report this malicious website, however, they don't seem to care.
"Hello,
I understand that you believe that this website is fraudulently conducting business. Though this website is hosted by Linode, we are not the owners or operators of the website.
As a cloud hosting provider we are not able to make a determination on the legitimacy of the many businesses whose infrastructure is hosted with Linode. It would be impossible for us to launch the type of investigation that would be able to make any real determination on the legitimacy of this website. In these situations, we would suggest that you contact law enforcement to make this report so that they can investigate further.
If you have charges from the website that you believe to be fraudulent, you are empowered to dispute them with your financial institution."
Now have a think about hosting your website with a company that allows scam sites. The server hosts many other websites and the IP will be posted on many scam sites. As people attack the IP, any website hosted on that server will have problems, including slow loading and bad rankings in Google due to the bad neighbourhood created by the malicious website running on the same server.
Avoid companies such as Linode that allow scam sites and illegal online activities. If you care about your websites, host them elsewhere.

Created accounts are blocked. And the support marks my tickets as closed by me and leaves it unanswered
The Linode platform, web-terminal and customer care are so bad... The whole concept of Linode is to do everything difficult, to enjoy when the new customer is struggling. I, as an engineer, who worked in the IT area of Automation 40 years struggled and failed. Then I went to Vultr Vps service... and guess I could configure the VPS... And the Vultr VPS is at least 2 times faster than Linode...
Amazing support, aswell as friendly staff!
I (as a startup) have been using Linode for about 3-4 months now,
Just about 3 days ago, i was unable to make the payment, and asked to delay the payment date, and if Linode was not greedy, they would've terminated my account or suspended my services, HOWEVER, they delayed the payment for 3 days!
This is a company I'd personally go for.
When we got hacked, they didn't close our account, and they requested us to investigate, which we had.
I personally think that Linode cares about their customer's service instead of money.
Linode provides cheap, and budget friendly Virtual Private Servers, including GPU servers which we are planning on getting an instance for AI/ML!
Keep going Linode!
