Misrepresented Products
This company claims to be “one of the UK's leading luxury bathroom and bath fittings suppliers”. Well to make a claim like that I think a minimum requirement would be to pay attention detail and provide exemplary customer service. I experienced neither.
After ordering one of their seemingly splendid “luxury” flush plates (“Compatible with Living House Cisterns only” (i.e. the widely available mid-price European brand Oli) it turned up with a horrible Oli logo engraved on it. The images show a refined and simple logo free plate. Now some people like logos, but many people do not and at the very least the images shown on the website should accurately reflect the product you should receive. The images show the plates with no logos. Send it back for a refund? Well not if your builder has already installed the cistern and you are left with having to source another plate.
Response from Living House was to offer me an alternative plate. Which is not really the point. You spend much time sourcing products for a renovation and the design you want, not approximations and compromises. What really gets my goat is that there was absolutely no acknowledgment or explanation as to why product images on their website do not match the actual product you receive. To make matters worse, the misrepresented images of the plates are still on their site weeks after my emails to them. Not good.
Hey, I know, why don’t you come over and rip out my cistern so I can fit a genuinely nice plate with an a accommodating cistern and pay for having the mosaic tiling redone?
Not good at all.

Thank you for your feedback. We were sorry to hear that you’re dissatisfied with the cistern flush plate.
The manufacturers have indeed updated the design of that particular flush plate to include a small unobtrusive logo in the bottom corner.
This is a recent change implemented since our website images were produced, so our photography team are currently working on updating the imagery.
You were offered a replacement flush plate without a logo, or to return the cistern and flush plate for a full refund, but you rejected both propositions.
Unfortunately a replacement or refund are the only options we could offer in this situation, but we apologise unreservedly for any inconvenience or distress you’ve suffered.

Order was very late, and product faulty when it (eventually) arrived
I ordered a towel radiator from them and it took 12 weeks to arrive. 6 weeks longer than quoted. And for the last 4 weeks of those I kept being told that it will be on its way in a few days. Always giving me a different of why it’s late.
Then when it finally arrived, it was faulty!
I’m so so angry. They’ve wasted so much of my time and energy and actually cost me money.
Apparently this not usual for them, but looks like they have no idea how to deal with it when it does happen. At no point throughout that 12 weeks of waiting did a manager get in touch with me, even though I’ve asked to speak to one a few times, or did they offer even the tiniest of discounts for the inconvenience. They just hid behind the young sales assistants. Who, to be fair, we’re really pleasant and polite.
And that is literally the only good thing I can say about this company.
When you pay 1.2K for a towel radiator you’d expect a service and product to match.
I will never, ever, shop with these guys again.

As you are aware, the factory had regrettably encountered some unforeseen problems during production of your bespoke towel rail. This unfortunate situation indeed left us unable to supply the product within the manufacturer’s original quoted lead times.
Our customer service team did their utmost to obtain realistic updates to keep you informed of the manufacturing progress. They were liaising with the factory daily in an effort to fulfil your order as quickly as possible.
While we’d passed-on all information from the manufacturer in good faith; the factory subsequently suffered a further machinery failure, leading to some unacceptable last-minute delays.
This is a very unusual occurrence, so we truly apologise that your bespoke towel rail suffered as a result of these failings. Unfortunately with bespoke hand-made products, there is little that can be done to speed up the production process.
We’re unsure why the towel rail would now be faulty on delivery, as it was fully inspected and put on a 24-hour test prior to shipping. We will collect the product from you at your convenience, and also issued a full refund immediately.
Apologies again for any inconvenience or distress this situation has caused. We are working with the manufacturer to further investigate this and to ensure that this remains an isolated incident.

I can not fault Living House
I can not fault Living House on their customer service or quality of their products. The offer an exceptional range of products at very reasonable prices.
Speaking to them post-purchase they were both helpful and professional. I'll be visiting them again when we need to renovate another bathroom.
