I want to recommend without any hesitation LLAMA TRAVEL. Please do not look any further if you want a trip to Peru. I hope and pray when Covid situation calms down to be able to travel again with them.
We went on a trip of a lifetime to Peru on August 2019 - Incas and Conquistadors with Inca trail and Lake Titicaca.
It was absolutely wonderful and so brilliantly organised we felt like VIPs. The service from the office pre and post booking was professional and knowledgeable helping us to choose options that would enhance our experience.
From the moment we arrived in Lima until we left we were treated by everyone with kindness and brilliant efficiency. We had such confidence in the organisational abilities of the local team and were not let down. Llamas unique ability to customise their tours was fantastic and the local team delivered this without any problems.
We never do organised tours preferring the flexibility of booking our own holidays BUT Llama is not your usual tour company offering advice on customising their tours for you.
We met so many lovely people at various points in the trip who holidays overlapped with ours it really enhanced the experience.
Our 4 day Inca trail was fantastic - it was a truly remarkable experience led brilliantly by guides and porters. We loved every moment and made friends for life with our fellow trekkers. The sense of achievement in reaching Macchu Pucchu was so wonderful I will treasure these memories for ever.
We treated ourselves after all that effort to the Belmond train to Lake Titicaca rather than the all day bus journey. I am so glad we did! It was such a special journey - being treated like royalty - but in a friendly way where you were made welcome. It is the height of luxury and a contrast to sleeping in tent on Inca trail with a portable loo! But waking up after a sleep in a soft bed on the train and watching sunrise over the Lake was stunning, the food was wonderful and Pisco Sours flowed freely!
I wish everyone at Llama and Condor all the best in these very trying times and hopefully see you soon - spending lots of time on your website planning our next trip ! Thank you again

A Role Model for Customer Service

We had booked the holiday of a lifetime - to the Okavango Delta and Zimbabwe - and had paid a deposit of £2000. When Llama Travel took the decision to cancel the holiday, they immediately refunded the amount paid. There was no quibble, no hassle, no pressure to rebook for next year, no offer of vouchers.
I would like to commend Llama Travel for their fair and professional response in this difficult situation.

I wanted to record how impressed I have been with the handling of our holiday from booking to cancellation. Having had to cancel due to Covid I was pleasantly surprised to receive a letter and refund without delay, or needing to be chased which is exceptional service.

We are intending to use Llama travel in the future for any destinations they cover, and will be recommending them as a very fair and professional company.

We had booked with Llama Travel for a tour of the Galapagos, Ecuador, Peru and Bolivia but due to the coronavirus the trip was cancelled. Unlike so many other travel firms, Llama offered us our money back straight away, which it paid out of it’s own reserves.
We had booked a previous South American trip through Llama, which was excellent. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and extremely helpful. We had no qualms about booking with them again. When the crisis passes and we book a South American holiday again, we will go straight to Llama Travel and wouldn’t even bother looking at anyone else.

Thanks Llama Travel, you have been great during this covid19 crisis - keeping us well informed all the way, and being very supportive of our situation. And, although we didn't actually get to travel to Peru and Ecuador this trip we look forward to re-booking in the future. We can highly recommend you.

I booked my dream tour to go to Peru. Llama’s tour is so flexible with reasonable price. I looked forward to go. However, due to Coronavirus, our border were closed. It is still closed now. So we can not go. Llama is so generous that offer us full refund or 110% of the tour if we keep the booking for next year. They refund 90% of cost to be paid 3 months before the tour. They both were fantastic offers which was hard for me to choose. Finally, I chose the full refund. They had no hesitation and gave me 100% without any deductions. That gave me full confidence and trust of this company. Definitely, I will book with them for my next trip to South America. Their staffs are very helpful too.

Llama Travel tailored their Peru tour to accommodate our plans. They were amazing to deal with, and nothing was a problem for them. The flights they arranged were all at decent times and well organised within the tour and the hotels all were well located and of high standard.. However we did not get to go as the pandemic struck and borders closed a week before our departure. During this fiasco, Llama Travel kept us informed and communicated options. We opted for a refund of our trip and have received a full refund of the total payment made. I wish the other tour operators that we are dealing with in South America could have the integrity and the very high standards of Llama Travel.

Cannot speak more highly of Llama travel. Their open and honest communication about the recent cancellation of my holiday was fantastic. They kept us in the loop from the beginning.
We received our refund in full unlike our flight providers who are still holding on to funds and quoting up to another 3 months before giving partial refunds.
We look forward to travelling in 2021 with Llama.

I would like to thank the management and staff for all their help and avice concerning my cancelled holiday to Argentina and Brazil because of the corona virus ,I couldn't re book with them in the near future for I had already made arrangements for my next holidays elsewhere, they repaid all money back to me with no hesitation ,

My Peru holiday departing May 10 booked with Llama Travel was cancelled due to corona virus but within a fortnight they had refunded the full cost of my holiday with exemplary speed and courtesy. I hope to rebook with LLama Travel in 2021.

I can't recall a booking with a travel agent to touch Llama. In the past I have often made my own arrangements but as I have advanced in years and was travelling with my disabled daughter I decided to go to South America with an agent. The booking staff were amazing. They customised for myself and my daughter's requirements and wishes. The accommodation, transfers and trips were all great. We regrettably had to return early due to borders closing with Covid 19 but they got us back swiftly without undue hassle. They also swiftly refunded the untaken parts of the holiday. We will continue our travels with Llama when we can. Just don't tell too many people how wonderful they are please!

I highly recommend Llama Travel and in particular Gary Finnerty for the professional way in which they have dealt with all aspects of our trip to Ecuador and the Galapagos which was sadly curtailed due to the current circumstances. We felt we were treated as valued customers and would not hesitate to use their services in the future.
Thank you for being fair having just received a cheque in full refund of our holiday.

I would like to praise Llama Travel for their fantastic service in relation to the current situation. Our holiday to Peru in May was unfortunately cancelled but Llama have been brilliant in answering our questions and clearly communicating our options. Following our request they have provided us with a full refund, even though I appreciate that they are themselves potentially taking a financial hit until insurances and refunds for reservations, etc. can be confirmed; many other companies are not doing this. I just want to thank everyone at Llama and we will be absolutely intending to re-book another holiday with them when things return to normal. I cannot recommend the company highly enough in terms of integrity and professionalism.

Llama Travel were fantastic at helping us arrange our holiday to the Galapagos which unfortunately was stopped by covid! However, Llama Travel have been absolutely fantastic at keeping us informed and then speedily fully refunded our holiday as we are currently unable to commit to a future date. The way Llama Travel have stepped up to the mark and responded is exemplary.
We will certainly rebook with them in the future. I have enjoyed excellent holidays with them in the past and the way they have put their clients interests first is remarkable given what one hears of other people experiences with other companies.
Although disappointed not to be able to make the trip, which is totally understandable given the pandemic, I will feel even more confident travelling with Llama Travel in the future as I know they will make every effort to look after their clients if there were any problems.

Sadly the planned Galapagos holiday was cancelled, which left us out of pocket and not keen on a replacement voucher. Having contacted our Llama contact Oliver, he assured us that refunds were being reviewed, then confirmed that they were planned for everyone requesting them, and finally turned out to be as good as his word as a cheque for the full amount duly appeared and was promptly cleared.
It is important to note that this was done notwithstanding the fact that Llama would have been out of pocket, having paid for airline tickets, accommodation deposits, and potentially other expenditure.
Against such an uncertain industry background, this was very proper behaviour, and an example to all.
I find it impossible to envisage circumstances when we will NOT be using Llama for all our future holiday requirements, and would have no hesitation in recommending them to all seeking professional and trustworthy agents.

We were due to take an extended trip to Mexico and Peru from the middle of April. This of course did not happen. From the beginning of it looking unlikely that the trip would take place Llama Travel were in contact and we were able to speak to them or email about the possible options. After much consideration and for many reasons we decided to take a refund rather than wait to re-book. We appreciated that this was quite an undertaking for the company and we are extremely grateful for the honourable way in which the company acted. They refunded us quickly and efficiently. We have found everyone at Llama Travel supremely friendly and professional. We are sad not to be in Mexico now but without doubt we will be using Llama Travel to book the holiday again in the future.

We arranged a visit to Guatemala and Costa Rica for March 2020.
However just before we were due to travel, the Coronavirus started to take effect, and we looked at adjusting our travel arrangements - not via Madrid. Llama Travel were very helpful at keeping us informed and making changes when asked, but ultimately, fate caught up with us and travel was not allowed. We are grateful now that we did not travel.
Llama Travel kept us informed all the time and we are very grateful for the help and concern, and plan to eventually travel, and resume out holiday of choice, when we are able.

In this difficult time of covid19, Llama travel have kept us informed by email and phone. We should have been in Peru but were cancelled. At no time has it been difficult to access someone to talk to, the phone has been answered and the staff have been welcoming and ready to give answers. I hope to use them again as their service is second to none. They repaid all our money immediately. Well done!!!

Me and a friend had a trip to Peru in October 2019. Excellent service throughout and very well organised. The local tour guides were excellent and passionate, and the holiday itself was supremely easy
