I no longer use this product and tried to cancel

I no longer use this product and tried to cancel the product. I received a bill on the day the autorenewal was sent/started.(No email that autorenewal is starting). Company states that there is fine print that customers agree to autorenewal and will pay. I would consider this a deceptive method to keep billing people. The company appears to have a new owner and business practices that I question. I will work with my credit card company to resolve this issue.

To cancel, you must submit in writing 30 days before renewal that you would like to cancel. Otherwise you are stuck paying for the full next year.

Just a heads up about canceling if you have an automatic renewal.

When I first started with this service 15-ish years ago, it worked fairly well. Since then, it hasn't improved. I found it very slow to use. We've recently switched to cloud based for our software and no longer need the service. This has been automatically renewing since I started many years ago. I just saw it hit my credit card a week ago and called today to cancel.

It just billed and automatically renewed 7 days ago.

But I am unable to cancel the subscription and get a credit. Due to the small print from probably when I first signed up that states.... In order to cancel, you must submit in writing 30 days before the automatic renewal that you would like to cancel.

Let me start off by saying I love this product…

Let me start off by saying I love this product. Now let me also say that I'm frustrated beyond believe about the major issues I'm having with this company trying to get this product working with '2' different accounts, both paid individually and both with totally different email addresses with the computers for each email. Every time they say it's resolved it's messed up more than the time before, if that's possible, which I hate to say is more than possible. When I've called tech support passes me to billing where I'm then passed back to tech support, see where I'm going here? This has been going on for almost 2 weeks. I've sent them copies of both charges yet they keep telling me that one of the accounts is not paid even though I've sent copies of the credit card charge. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I'm at my wits end and don't know where to go. Whenever I ask for a supervisor it's a nope. I have a feeling that this stuff happens often with this company because no one could possibly be doing what they're doing to me intentionally, as no could be that inept. But, alas I guess someone is!!!

Money Greedy and they don't care about their customers

After several years of subscribing to the LogMeInPro software I decided I no longer needed the product. I went on the site and eventually had to google how to cancel my account. You have to call them and the phone tree is a nightmare and once you finally get someone the verification process is archaic. They asked for a credit card number that had changed d/t theft over 3 months ago and when I went on the site to see what the old number was I discovered that you can't even go on to change your billing information. You have to call for that too.

Despite me contacting them within a week of my renewal they refused to refund me. I never received any notice that my renewal was coming up so my take is that they are money greedy and not customer oriented at all.

For a technology company they should make it easier to update your information and cancel your account other than a phone call to another country.

Criminal Billing Practices

This company is almost criminal in its billing process. I stopped using the product months ago (I was on a month-to-month contract). There is no mechanism to delete your credit card or cancel your subscription on the website. If you find the well hidden contact number, it sends you directly to voicemail - even during business hours. Nobody has ever returned my call despite several attempts to get a call-back. I finally found another number via a google search and we will see if they finally cancel the subscription. They offer no refund of even the current month which was charged today. I waited to speak to a supervisor, but nobody answered. The service didn't keep up with the times, so we went to Zoom. Seriously flawed company. STAY AWAY.

Terrible customer service - hard to cancel

After being a long term user (more than 10 years), I do not have any use for LMI any longer and decided to cancel. My subscription renewed last month, so I figured I would get a prorated refund.
Well, according to the young lady on the phone, they do not do that and I should have read my terms and conditions, which by the way are very hard to find. I am still looking (let me know if you find them). In the end, no refund, I just have a useless subscription until January next year. Please note that they offered me a 30% discount, so you could probably get that if you threaten to cancel before your renewal.
This is quite upsetting and definitely not the way to run a business in 2025. I will make sure to not use any of the GoTo products in my businesses moving forward. I understand that they probably do not care.

Not security trustworthy, avoid

Any company that's claims it is GDPR compliant and then does not give you an option when logged in to delete your account is not trustworthy. They give you an international number to call to do this - why should I pay charges from the EU to do something that by law in our jurisdiction should be easy and online. I only wanted to do this as I had a password security alert of a data breach... great.

Software Good, Company Bad !!!

The software itself is really a good software (i use it for 10 years) but the customer service is the worst you will ever experience. You can't unsubscribe online, you have to do it by the phone with somebody that doesn't want you to unsubscribe and thanks you for renewing when you ask for quitting !
A nigthmare, don't go in, you can't go out without a huge effort. I won't ever subscribe again

The service itself is OK, but...

The service itself is OK, but their subscription cancellation policy is terrible! First to my great surprise I found out it's impossible to do it from the dashboard! On their website they say you need to contact support for that. So I thought, ok, I will DM support for help, but the next big surprise for me was that I could not message their support team, I had to make an actual phone call (!) to America. C'mon, I'm NOT calling your support in America (I don't even live there - the toll fees are expensive) to solve a SIMPLE problem!
I ended up cancelling my credit card instead so they wouldn't be able to get any money from me.
This is just crazy bad.

I have LogMeIn Pro. Since October 23, 2024, my main host has been inactive. I don't know why. It is down. I've tried to contact your customer service department but that has been futile and a joke.

Disappointing

Like most remote access start changing things that work . Teamveiwer the same . A password isn't enough have to start putting codes via text which don't arrive . So after hours trying, end up driving to sort simple problem . So app becomes useless . Shame. The idea was fast easy access not this rubbish. Go back to simplicity logmein. Biometrics should be enough

10 months are remaining on my year-subscription. Unlike most services, LogMeIn will not refund the next 10 months that we will not be using the subscription. Customer for many years. Clunky software and the service is even worse. Hung up on me the first time that I called to cancel.

The main issue is printing

The main issue is printing. There are times it will print within minutes then other times I have had to wait up to 30 minutes for one page. Restart is constant. Changing printer selections can take up to 5 minutes. And LMI doesn't play well with adobe at all.

I would rate your service as "zero"

I would rate your service as "zero", or "below zero" if I could! I have just had a very unhelpful phone call with one of your staff re my subscription cancellation. I signed up to use your LogMeIn Pro last October 2023, however, it was too clunky to use with a lot of issues at our practice. So we had to change to another Remote Access service. I had not used your service since last October and then I was automatically charged my annual fee yesterday 9/10/2024 (NZD 667.74). I was not aware that this "automatic rolling over" would happen so I rung to request that my payment be refunded, as I would like to cancel my initial subscription. I would have done this ages ago if I knew that this was an automatically running over service. I thought I would get a notification, asking me whether I'd like to continue before being charged, closer to my annual review date. But that was not the case, and my card has been charged, and payment had done through. I DO NOT wish to continue and have NOT been using your service at all since October 2023. I asked that the automatic payment of NZD667.74 be refunded and your staff said that this is not possible, and that this will carry on until next year Oct 2025, and my subscription be cancelled then! I have not been using your service and will not be using it for the next whole year. You would have seen this on your system that this has been the case for the last one year since my subscription.
I think this is extremely appalling & I am thoroughly shocked that such a service/business like yours could have such an unjust and dishonourable policy.

I received a fairly quick response and a knowledgeable support person. Unfortunately, we were unable to figure out what appears to be a windows issue not completing a reinstall of logmein which I have yet to figure out. Overall, the logmein central product is great.

I use Logmein to work remotely for two different companies. They both work very well. I had another "online helper" for one of the companies last year and it was horrible. It was slow and a jerky response so I moved that company to Logmein too. Much better work experience.
