Damp logs not 'Ready to Burn' certified

A previous load of logs ordered from this supplier was good and burned well so I was not overly concerned when their order confirmation email for 2 cubic meters of logs said "we cant guarantee the logs will be as dry as usual. The logs are well seasoned and will burn the same just may have more moisture content than normal".
However, the oak logs (delivered while I was out) felt noticeably damp to the touch, and on testing, with a moisture meter, all logs gave readings of over 20% with some as high as 28%.
I regret not previously checking that Lolas Logs was 'Ready to Burn' approved (they are not approved) - which is a statutory requirement for all suppliers delivering logs in quantities of less than 2 cubic meters and guarantees the moisture content of 20% or less needed for efficient burning and minimization of air pollution.
Lolas logs declined to replace the damp logs with drier logs but collected the damp logs instead. After a delay, I received a refund. Lesson learned - I will only buy from 'Ready to Burn' registered suppliers in future.
