Concerning the Esso fuel station/Londis store,

I had reason to visit the Esso fuel station in Ormesby earlier today, to drop off a Yodel parcel.

What a rotten experience 😠

I walked to the counter and although my boat race is the stuff of nightmares, I did at least attempt a smile.
All I got from the assistant was a blank stare.

I cheerfully said 'good morning' ........
Nothing.

'I have a Yodel parcel to post' .........
Nothing.

I put the parcel on the high counter ...
He just stared at it.

I then turned it so that he could see the postage label .......
He scanned it, and issued the receipt.

I said thank you .........
Nothing.

And that was it.
Not a word passed his lips.
Not a smile or a greeting of any kind was issued.

I don't think that I've ever dealt with such a miserable, surly, unwelcoming shop assistant in my life.

I will NEVER go back there❗

So.....
Whoever has the franchise for that shop and fuel station. You've lost my custom❗

And Yodel.
I will not choose your delivery service again, just to avoid that shop❗

Not devastatingly shocking in the big scheme of things but I hope that the assistant's boss is aware of what a wonderful asset this employee is.

Our local Londis, at Burbage petrol station in Wiltshire, is a well stocked store which, amazingly, is open 24/7, 365 days per year. The staff are always polite and friendly. It also has a post office. We use it a lot and are always very happy with it.
As an aside, I think Londis should work harder on creating more attractive branding. It's pretty naff! And I'm unsurprised that there are less aprreciative reviews from other reviewers. I have been into a few Londis I couldn't give a shining review to, including with very grotty loos...

Londis Banner Cross, Sheffield. I went to collect a parcel and the scanner didn't work. The person assisting me couldn't speak English very well, which made it difficult to resolve the issue and led to frustration for both of us, to the point where I had to shout out my name in public. Add to that their prices are extortionate - £2.29 for 4 pints of milk being an example - and it seems pretty clear that the convenience aspect is the only thing keeping the store going. The whole business needs to be shut down.

The night worker was extremely rude and with so much attitude, did not know how to talk with a customer, whilst i was standing he was on the phone laughed talking in his own language.my card somehow wasn’t working it did after but the guy asked to very rudely to give my phone to him and come in the morning then pay. And all this time he was talking with someone on the phone laughing in his language. Never going back there at st neots.

I love the idea that I have my favourite groceries just around the corner. Any time I want to grab some snacks, I go straight to Londis. Staff always friendly and helpful

Prices are seriously excessive, and staff generally, should never be allowed in customer facing roles. As an aside their Freshfields milk range is totally useless for frothing coffee. There is no other milk that fails to froth up in a nespresso frother like this milk. The stores have nothing to endear themselves to the public.

Had a parcel delivered to Llanfair caerinion by evri on a Monday. Due to serious illness could not go and collect till following week. Rang to explain, answered by very rude man who said they were inundated with parcels. I explained why I would be late collecting, he said not his problem and would not hold parcel for me. Very rude obnoxious man, needs customer service skills training. Will never use again

They have a store in Westfield Road Dunstable called Super Seven Market that never has any of what claim to be on offer. The owner uses her maiden day to give it a great review, it never seems to have anything new in store gives Londis a bad name

Filled my car with fuel for £50, paid by credit card.
She said rudely done.
I waited, no sign of a receipt so I said don't you give receipts.
She very rudely said say please, when you purchase any item it's the till persons responsibility to offer till receipt is required.

This type of individual should not be allowed near customers.

Terrible. Very rude every time you go there to collect a parcel. They treat you like this on purpose and they are very nice with people who buy their products.

Barking Londis was deffo trash, but now it seems most Londis staff are terrible. You’d expect an Italian food shop to be a good place to visit but hiring scammers for staff?? Really?? Makes me wonder if they don’t train the staff, or do they just hire anyone with no care for honesty and customer service?
This was such a disappointment

No point them offering DHL collection point if they don't look after parcels and lecture customers instead of helping trying to get to the bottom of it after parcel vanished into thin air although got the notifications nearly 3x a day for 4 days after being delivered it's there. But when I went to pick it up, the parcel was nowhere amd they were not cooperating at all, saying they know the driver and they don't get many parcels and it's not those I saw in other corner sussing they might be by mistake chucked w other parcles but they assured me no it isn't they would know . But also the chap nearly handed me over on my arrival without my pick up code a parcel whi h was not mine at all ha!! so of course u start thinking whays going on. I was calm but still didn't get it so I went back before heading home to enquire to look through those pRcels together (1 min job max she could have still go back stuffing her salad from behind the counter... ) but the woman literally lectured me she works there for 30yrs, she knows what she is doing but she refused to go through other parcels w me in case it's human error. Which I would understand but she just became more abusive although I wasn't shouting I just simply didn't understand at all why I m getting the notifications still it's there ready to pic k up. Go contact DHL which is a nightmare anyway.
Besides If it's s DHL driver s fault leaving it on van after scanning it having it delivered I don't get that either bc how blind u got to be driving around London for 4 days not noticing still u got sthing still on Yr van... And surely DHL ought to be prepared for this event and check the vans coming back to depot, no???? 4 days! So I would suggest take that DHLcollection point badge away if they can't even vouch for a small parcel amd they start abusing the customer instead of helping....

Don't get a parcel delivered here unless you are prepared to wait to collect it until staff have finished their various shop chores ( no other customers present) before they are prepared to deal with parcels - that can be a while!

The rudest staff ever. I’ve been using the store to ship and collect Yodel parcels, because they offer this service and I live 2 minutes away. Every time they have been most rude about it, either showing they’re annoyance at collecting parcels, or saying they ran out of labels, or that you cannot drop parcels in the evening for whatever reason of space. This time they went well beyond the limit, telling me that they never see me shop there but only using the Yodel services and that I should try other shops. No I don’t shop there and even if I needed to I would never go to a place that’s managed by such rude people. If they are too lazy or cannot be bothered to offer the Yodel services, they should just not offer it.

Before Londis took over Finedon stores, 83 Wellingborough Road, NN9 5LG the lovely older Asian couple that ran it were always friendly, always said hello, always welcoming, never rude or off hand when serving or taking in parcels. However, since Londis took over, the younger Asian men there are downright unfriendly, they don't even make eye contact or even say hello and as a white female, I feel discriminated against and tolerated. The older one glares at me then starts speaking in his own language in front of me to the younger one who then starts being off with me. Judging by the tone and aggressive attitude between them toward me, what they are saying is not nice, anyway it is rude to speak in another language in front of customers. Every time I go there, which is rare these days, they behave aggressively toward me and make me feel very unwelcome. As a white female, I feel at the brunt end of racism by the two Asian men that run that store. I hear them being short with other white customers. If they don't like white people in the UK shopping at the store then go and work in a non white non customer based service. I doubt I will go there again, I am sick of them, happened too many times now. I hope the older couple that ran Finedon Stores read this, I am sure they will be shocked and give these two younger generation Asian men a good talking to or better still replace them with more decent respectful staff no matter their ethnicity just nice friendly people grateful to have a job and not bring shame to Londis Stores!

Ive been twice to Church Rd shop in Ashford Middlesex to post a parcel using Evri courier service. This Londis staff are very helpful, both times. I can scan a link & print a label to send my parcel. I asked for help today & one of the owners came straight to help me. They are very pleasant, its a busy store with a fully stocked mini supermarket👍🏻

Landis lordship lane is absolutely dreadful, areal manager should wake up and have a look at it. … customer service is non existent! Ordering online is a experiment on its own! Drop down Uber shopping as they cannot deliver 👊☠️☠️☠️who ever is in charge should look for another job! Stop pretending working and gives the job to someone with customers care in his heart!

I went to goole Londis with my dad as I was told they had prime, I was told it was £10 but that was something I was willing to sacrifice, when I got home after paying £10 I found out it was fake. Honestly not impressed and their prime is a scam. DO NOT BUY PRIME FROM HERE!
