Do not hire him, he is not a electrician, just a scam artist. The work will not be compliant

London Rewires have just completed upgrading the consumer units in our Hampstead property. As always, Joel Brown and his team have done a fantastic job. Completely reliable, trustworthy and very professional.

Used Joel at London Rewire to fix an external light and socket explained cost and options agreed price and time to attend job fitted promptly with a the guys having a good service would recommend easy to speak with and discuss needs.

London Rewires intervened at my home to fix a plug, they were not polite, really dismissive in talking to me and had no respect for me being in the flat (cutting the power unnoticed while I was on call, leaving the front door open despite repeated asks, watching tiktoks with the sound at the maximum).
We agreed on a scheduled time given the job was not urgent, they were planned to intervene from 10-12pm but they arrived at 12:30pm and stayed until 2:30pm, which was probably better for their schedule, it was definitely not for mine.

Excellent service. Joel and Gavin were really helpful and friendly - and made a lot of effort to minimise mess and disruption while they carried out the works. They were really responsive to any concerns and queries - and put a lot of time and effort into helping us choose the right switches, sockets and other fittings - which look great!

I had Joel install the fusebox five years ago and it was time for me to get another EICR. After the electrician not showing up at the agreed time twice, Joel came to survey himself. I paid £300 in advance. After this time both Joel and Monaé were uncontactable. They did not respond to messages, emails and I even went to their premises go knock on their door. I had to have another electrician carry out the EICR effectively paying twice. I am now claiming the amount back via my credit card.

I had my fuse box changed with London rewire 6 months ago, the fuse board stared tripping all the time. Call them out, jo never answered his phone and I had to get another electrician to fix the problem. And he said the board he installed was really a cheap board (BG) and he had broken 3 codes of installing a new board. Jo charged me an arm and a leg. And he put the cheapest board on the market. Be aware of him, and don’t trust him.

Having had London Rewires come to my property to do a an EICR certificate last year I asked them to come back to carry out update works to my electrics at the end of May. After communicating with Monae Coutain-Springer, the office manager, to confirm a date nobody turned up on the day agreed, the phone numbers ring out and there has been no response to my emails. Incredibly frustrating given we had scheduled the works along with a kitchen refurbishment that has now had to be delayed and cost us more money. I stupidly paid them £800 upfront and have received no communications about a refund despite many emails and calls. Do not use this company.

I have used Joel a couple of times for properties I manage- he is professional and competent and good at finding solutions to problems without fuss. His pricing is very transparent and he is good at keeping in touch during the job if any unforseen things arise. I would use his company again.

London Rewires did and excellent job in bringing my wiring up to the current specifications for my EICR.
Joel responded to my enquiry quickly and provided and estimate the next day. Communication with Joel whilst refining the estimate and arranging the work. The Electrician who did the work was friendly, competent and communicative so I knew what he was doing and why. Very Satisfied.

In the process of buying a house, I asked Joel for his advice on explaining the EICR report. He kindly took the time to go through the report and gave me some useful questions to ask the sellers, potentially saving me the cost of a whole rewire. I have used Joel several times for electrical work and he is just a good, helpful person to deal with.
