Lies, lies and more lies.
To cut a very long story short I purchased a troublesome vehicle over a year ago. With various problems and break downs they accepted the van back. They still haven’t wound down the finance agreement with CA Auto finance which has led to them chasing me for payments and massively effecting me credit score. Since returning the van to them they have lied about trying to sell the vehicle again when it is still financed, denied accepting the van back by lying saying the deposit refund they sent me was money towards the wet belt I had payed for 2 weeks after I purchased the van and lied saying I tried making a fraudulent claim to warranty wise over diagnostics and a new battery. These lot are unbelievable. As it stands the van is now being collected by a debt collector to then be sold at auction and whatever the money difference is I will have to pay. Since purchasing the van in November 2024 they have cost me around £1800 in diagnostics, wet belt, break down charges and loss of earnings. The first review I left was forced to be taken down which I think is disgusting as people should be aware of what they are like. I am a massive believer in supporting local businesses but in this case never again. I’m also a massive believer in karma. It’ll catch up with you one day Lonsdale. Liars

I had a really good experience at Lonsdale Newport.very helpful, picked me up from the train station, ran me about sorting money out.made me tea.had a nice chat, easy going, relaxed.even put me on their insurance for my drive home.drove back to Norwich(240miles) pick up was lovely.

I deliberately waited some time before leaving this review so I could give an honest reflection of both the service and the van itself. I’m pleased to say the van has been exactly as described and sold.

Since purchasing the vehicle, it has been excellent with no issues whatsoever and has proven to be reliable and well suited to my business needs, which was very important to me.

The whole experience with the dealership was really positive. The sales team were friendly, approachable, and very helpful throughout the process, answering any questions I had and making everything straightforward with no pressure.

A small but thoughtful touch that really stood out was that they even went and bought us a coffee from the nearest petrol station, knowing we had travelled all the way from Leeds and had a long drive back ahead of us. It was a genuinely kind gesture and very much appreciated.

Overall, I’m really happy with both the van and the service I received. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a reliable vehicle and great customer care.

DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THESE PEOPLE
Bought a vehicle from here which came with 3 months warranty from warrantywise. We had the vehicle 1 week when we noticed it wasn't running right!!! In this week we ONLY drove it twice!!!!! Texted Marc several times and phone calls were made to which no answer of course. We took the vehicle into a Nissan garage in which they told us what problems were wrong.. and low and behold the 3 months warranty didn't cover it!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Best advice would be.. do not buy a vehicle from these people.

I recently purchased an iveco daily, and it’s clear they only pick quality vehicles! After visiting the showroom! and I couldn't be happier with my decision of buying from Lonsdale Van Center Newport.
Very welcoming from the offset not your typical sales approach.
Overall experience has been nothing short of excellent. The dealership guys Marc, Dave & Bernard were knowledgeable and extremely helpful, made the whole process smooth and stress-free.

they are liars, they give you cars with problems, look for another company, I bought a Ford Tourneo Custom { YK16RLH }
with 3 months warranty, what do you think? the engine broke after 2 months and they didn't want to repair it for me Warrantywise because I didn't have all the services, I called Lonsdale to give me the services on the car and I didn't receive anything, but the warranty was made on this Ford without service, how is it possible ? it cost me 4600 pounds to repair the engine, these liars didn't even want to answer my messages and emails, nor did the LONSDALE car representative, don't make a warranty with Warrantywise, they will do their best not to fix anything on your car and I don't recommend you these thieves from LONSDALE, run away from them, they are liars

To any prospective purchasers, our business have purchased all our vans from Lonsdale and I bought my car from them last year.
Bernard and Dave gave me a fantastic deal and even picked me up from the office to collect the car as my old car wouldn’t start. I am in my 50’s and have never known such nice people to deal with.

Great service. Thrilled with our van. Don't believe all you read definitely no negativity about dealing with this company again
