Never sent samples or came back to me

Ordered samples. They never arrived. They sent an email to ‘check they’d arrived.’ Replied saying no and please could the resend. Ignored. Emailed again. Ignored. Bizarre for a business to be so bad before a customer has even ordered!

Poor service

I ordered some samples 2 weeks ago, still not turned up! I have requested a measure which a lovely guy came out to measure for me from Love carpet, I have since being trying to contact them to arrange for my quote on a full house renovation but no one is answering the phones - Failing this I will not be ordering from this company anymore.

These guys are completely disinterested…

These guys are completely disinterested in customers. They don’t pick up the phone whether the shop or mobile and don’t follow through with quotes and payment. Impossible to do business with. Don’t waste your time.

Do not use, awful shoddy work

Do not use.

I used Love Carpet 10 years ago and they were amazing, so when I wanted to replace the carpet all through my house in April 2022, I obviously contacted them. First issue I noticed, the fitter did not replace old underlay in some areas when I had paid for new throughout, then we noticed how much damage he had done to walls and skirtings. Now I know some paint chips to skirtings can happen, but some of the damage was deep gauges in the plasterboard walls! There were a lot of little issues I had to fix - bad cutting-in in corners, strings sticking up along skirtings & door bars, lino in bathroom badly cut around corners and pipes - just generally really sloppy and messy work.

My biggest issue is my stairs. Quite a number of the stairs are loose, not tight to the stairs and they just look a bit baggy at the front. Then the really dangerous bit - a lot of the stairs are not properly tucked into the back edge, where the tread meets the riser. Not only does this not look very nice, but a stair near the top keeps coming totally out! I do not think the fitter replaced the 10 year old gripper on the stairs (I'm also positive he didn't replace the underlay down the stairs - one minute there was just old underlay on the stairs, next minute he was banging in the carpet), it just isn't holding on this particular stair. I tried many times to get the carpet to grab the gripper, to no avail. I even got a carpet fitter to come in (he was working next door) and bang that stair carpet right in properly in April and it is half out again. This is why I think it's old gripper and just not sharp anymore.

I have contacted Love Carpet at least 4 times in the last 6 months, by both email and the contact form on their website, asking if they will fix that stair before I have an accident, possibly a fatal one, yet I have been totally ignored. If they won't, just let me know, but nothing

I would never use them again.

No response to purchase enquiry

Repeatedly, over a number of days, waited for response with the online chat and never got one.
Used the phone number to speak to someone and got no response.
Used the alternative phone number to speak to someone and got no response.
Left an email for a response - and received none.
I have no idea if this company is operating but if they are guess that they have no need of new custom.

Above and Beyond Great Service

Jonathan from Lovecarpet was at my home. He certainly went above and beyond the "normal" service I have received from other cleaners,(and there have been quite a few). He took extra time to make sure even the worst stains were completely removed and explained how I might prevent certain stains from setting in. I can honestly recommend Lovecarpet and will certainly use them again!

Knowledgeable staff, competitive prices.

I have used this company many times.
They have always been very competitive with price and reliable. It seems that there has been some reorganization among the office staff which would account for some delays in our communications on this occasion.
Otherwise the customer service was at the standard I had experienced previously and the ordering process went smoothly.
I was put in direct contact with the fitter and was able to coordinate to make sure of a schedule for the work. The fitting was completed on time and well. I paid the fitter directly.
I will use them again.

Brilliant service very quick and…

Brilliant service very quick and professional Julie was wonderful from start to finish & Luke the carpet fitter was brilliant to & spotted that my hall carpet had a slight fault in it & wasn’t happy fitting so between Julie & Luke a new hall carpet was delivered & fitted within a few days can’t fault them.

Outstanding service.

Julie was great from the start - everything was clear and we knew exactly what we were getting.

We had the carpet installed in good time - installer was great, time efficient, no marks on the walls. All round we are completely happy with the results.

Completely unreliable

What an experience! I usually don't leave reviews, but really feel the need to warn people doing any business with this company.
Everything went very smoothly in the beginning - samples arrived promptly, and a date was arranged with the fitters to do the job.
First surprise was that the original sample I chose was then somehow unavailable and another close match was provided. Not the end of the world, but still somehow disappointing as samples were only sent a few weeks prior.
Then the real "fun" started. The carpet fitters were not told that the apartment where the carpet was needed was in an apartment block and quite high up in the building. Obviously, Love Carpet were provided with the address including the floor number! Then, they were not advised that furniture needed moving (as it was a rental property), despite me requesting this service and paying for it.
After the first visit, and the carpet fitters not having enough time to do the job due to the previous mentioned "issues", they came back after another 2 weeks....this time, the carpet they have been supplied with by Love Carpet wasn't big enough. So again, we had to wait. In the meantime, the floor was scratched which led to me complaining. After the complaint, I received the silent treatment by Love Carpet and was only able to communicate with the carpet fitters directly. The carpet fitters completed the job for me, but I paid them directly as Love Carpet ignored my emails. I had new tenants moving into the apartment on the same day. Afterwards, I was chased for money....
Needless to say:
The whole experience was a complete nightmare!
Having a 6 month old baby, I chose Love Carpet for the service it advertised online: quick, efficient, and reasonably priced. Would I have known how complicated and unprofessional the experience turned out to be, I would have rather paid £200 more but have professional people work with me.
Shambles of a company that should NOT be allowed to trade anymore.

Sham of a company - Avoid at call costs

Was looking to get some carpets in. Seen they had good prices and free fitting so thought why not. Gave them a call and they arranged to get the ball rolling. Was then out of area when they rang to say fitter was in my area to which I said I was not at home for this as they had not arranged a day or time. Since then they have not responded to me and blamed me for not getting the fitting done when they sent someone with no warning.

If you look through the reviews you will see they been pretty scummy for years now messing people around and lying about the 7 days.

Avoid and use any other carpet site.

service and despite phoning on several occasions there has been no response apart from the excuse that carpet fitters were busy. six weeks have elapsed and it seems that although I wish to use this company I will have to look elsewhere

Promised to call me back and then when…

Promised to call me back same day, and then when I chased the woman said it didn’t happen, pretended to be polite in tone whilst hanging up on me and refusing to speak! Tried them about four times In order to speak to someone else and change my mind, but no answer. Terrible impression.

Poor service

I don't like to leave bad reviews, but felt I had to with this company. I ordered 4 samples, eventually 3 turned up after nearly 2 weeks. Luckily 1 of the samples looked okay so I progressed to ordering it. They sent a quote through after a couple of days but it had the wrong colour carpet on the quote, so I called to change it, Julie changed it and sent a new quote, although this was still not quite correct as it had the correct colour code, but the description was not describing the correct colour, I presumed it was probably correct and continued to order with Julie. Julie then went on to tell me that carpet was not in stock there, but in stock in another warehouse so I may have to wait a week before it would be available, they would let me know when it could be fitted, luckily Julie didn't take a deposit as that was the last I heard from them, 4 weeks ago! I've since bought a carpet from elsewhere and had a local carpet fitter fit it for me, its a nicer carpet and all in including a luxury 11mm underlay worked out a bit cheaper then they were quoting too! It's a shame as I have a whole house to decorate and carpet following major works, maybe they don't need the business!

We are sorry you are not happy with the service provided by Lovecarpet.
Unfortunately, due to the pandemic the free samples we provide can take up to two weeks to arrive to our clients via Royal Mail 1st Class Service due to the current demand on Royal Mail.
We are also running low on some samples, some of the supplier’s representatives are or have been on furlough and we have struggled to replenish some samples to meet demand during this difficult pandemic and with some shops being closed the demand has been much higher than usual.
Therefore, we cannot send out all samples at this present time. I am sorry you were one sample short. We do try to advise on the sample letter, and we try our absolute best to accommodate everyone.
Regarding your order placed verbally, with regret it does appear it was missed this end.
We have no email confirming the order or no deposit taken and no correspondence from yourself.
Our policy is we do not take a deposit without the product being available and a fitting date booked.
We are sorry your booking was not processed as planned.
We do provide a free phone number 0800 048 2747 and direct contact numbers on sample letters to discuss enquires along with a Sales@lovecarpet.co.uk email address on the website should a client have any queries about their order or would like to confirm an order in writing.
