I have had my used Mercedes in twice…

I have had my used Mercedes in twice for manufacturers recall. Twice my vehicle has left in a worse condition than when it arrived. Staff at Solihull do not seem to bothered about friendly customer interaction or retention. I had one positive interaction after I complained and issues corrected but it seems that poor customer feedback and communication is standard for this branch.

Very disappointed with my recent…

Very disappointed with my recent experience buying a vehicle through Van Monster Platform / LSH Auto Stockport.
On 17 April 2026, I purchased a 2020 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter SF70 YTJ through the auction. The vehicle inspection report stated that there were no warning lights, no major issues, and overall the van appeared to be in good working condition. Considering this was sold by one of the largest Mercedes-Benz dealer groups in the UK, I expected a professional and accurate description.
However, after collecting the vehicle, we discovered multiple serious faults that were not disclosed in the inspection:
Brake Assist / radar faults
Driver seat damaged beyond repair
Handbrake faults
Brake pad issues
Radio not working
Additional electrical and system problems
The vehicle has already cost us around £1,600 in repairs just to bring it up to a proper standard. We even had to buy two separate 5-litre fuel cans just to make it to the fuel station and refuel the van properly.
What is most disappointing is not simply the repair bill — it is the lack of transparency. When you buy from a major Mercedes-Benz dealer group, you naturally expect honesty and a properly checked vehicle. Unfortunately, this experience has been the complete opposite.
We were hoping to build a long-term relationship and continue buying stock in the future, but after this experience it honestly feels like touching boiling water — you just want to jump away from it.
I would strongly advise other buyers to carry out extremely careful inspections before purchasing.
All repair invoices, receipts, inspection reports, and supporting evidence can be provided if required.
P.S. We still have not received the V5 logbook to this day. Despite contacting them multiple times, the V5 document has still not arrived.

This Whitefield branch when i purchased the vehicle in 2012 was an excellent experience. Whatever has happened for it to be plumbing the depths of inadequacy I do not knom?

DREADFUL COMPANY DO NOT USE

I have not much more to add that seems to have already been covered in other multiple negative reviews. I will say that my main issue is with service and the lack of communication inparticular with returned calls. The problem was apparent in March and is still apparent now in May so no change. I have been dealing with Callum Evans so not sure if the issue is with him or thise who fail to inform him either way it is not good. I will certainly not be using this company again.

Extremely poor business

Extremely poor business. The customer service is shambolic. I have been trying to get a new key for my Mercedes from them for 6 months. This has included three appointments at their macclesfield branch where I have waited only to be told either they didnt have the key that they had previously told me they did, or that the single person who can code a new key "hasn't turned up for work" Six months and I'm still without resolution. They do not return calls and emails. The whole experience is shambolic. I'm almost now just hanging on to see quite how long it can actually run too.
Avoid at all costs

Disgraceful Mercedes

Well we’re do I start. My experience with this dealership was so disappointing as my car was booked in on the 14th of this month for an Mot retake as the week before it failed on a crack on the front driver side wheel with is understandable as it’s not safe so I booked it back in for its ten day free mot retake and was told bring it in Saturday morning at 8:30am I was waiting over 5 hour for them to change my front wheel and pass my mot? Such a disappointing experience when about 10 / 15 people came and went before me. At 1:30 I asked is my car ready and the lady went to ask so I walked out side and I could see my had still not been moved from the backyard were it was put which means I’ve been waiting for almost five hours before my car was even touched is a disgrace why tell me to bring it in at 8:30am is beyond me. I would expect this service from the likes of ford or a cheaper car company not Mercedes Benz!!!
I’ve got no problem waiting my turn but wouldn’t it be better if I was told bring it in later on the afternoon or the following working week day ? I booked my Saturday off work to sit in a showroom for five plus hours for a mot and change my front wheel. Disgraceful service. If that’s how Mercedes treats their customers well good luck you will definitely need.

STILL UNRESOLVED: Deceptive Pricing and Corporate Stall Tactics

I am updating this review because LSH Auto’s Head Office is now involved, but they continue to withhold my money. After reporting their eBay store for sending incorrect parts and then refusing a fair refund, I received an 'acknowledgment' from their complaints department (Irfan).

Despite admitting the error and receiving the returned item (Tracking: TS4298298), they are still refusing to refund the £28.01 discrepancy. To reiterate: they sell the Oil/Filter I kept for £58.99, but because I bought them in a 'kit,' they are forcing me to pay £87.00 for them. This is a clear breach of the Consumer Rights Act.

I have also discovered they manually updated their eBay listing AFTER my complaint to hide their original compatibility error. I have proof of this manipulation.

Trading Standards Report: SUBMITTED (via Citizens Advice)

Resolution: NONE

I will not be removing these reviews or closing my disputes until the remaining balance is returned. Disappointing behavior from a Mercedes-Benz partner

They damaged my V-class while in for service work. Took six weeks to repair the damage to the door, then charged me for the bodyshop repair. Awful service & I would recommend you think twice about buying a Mercedes if this is the level of service to expect.

If I could I would give minus 10 stars

If I could I would give minus 10 stars. Service is appalling 12 weeks to complete a repair that should have taken 3 days. Still not got repair done. Rude disrespectful and arrogant staff who couldn't care less. Technicians who don't know what they are doing Management don't give a damm. DO NOT BUY MERCEDES

Absolutely terrible service from…

Absolutely terrible service from Mercedes-Benz of Birmingham.

I took my car in last week because the windscreen washer jet was blocked. They charged me £69 and clearly did not fix the problem properly. Just 3 days later, I used the washer jet again and it was still blocked exactly as before.

I then had to book another appointment for the same issue, and unbelievably they charged me £138 more for the exact same fault. This is completely unacceptable and feels like a rip-off.

A professional garage should diagnose and fix the problem properly the first time, especially for such a simple issue. Instead, they failed to do the job, then charged me again when their first repair didn’t work.

Very unprofessional, poor workmanship, poor diagnosis, and shocking customer service. I expect far better from a Mercedes-Benz dealership.

This was a complete waste of time and money. I would strongly advise people to avoid this place.

Mercedes Stockport lack of service

Booked vehicle in for 0815 diagnostic, duration 2hrs 15. 3.5hrs later asked if there had been an issue. Vehicle not even been looked at. Also order 2 coffee s during this time both of which didnt arrive. No food avialable either. Premium cost for vehicles, but sadly the enormity of the incompetence here is astounding.
Update. Once this was brought to their attention. The job was quickly completed.

Beware if they say they will settle your existing loan

We bought a car and part exchanged our existing car. They were adamant that they needed to pay off the remaining balance on the part ex car loan. Almost 2 weeks later we noticed that a payment on the old loan had been taken from our bank. On investigation the loan company told us that the loan had not been settled and on contacting Mercedes they said that they would settle the loan but not before the very last date that the settlement figure was good for. Scandalous that they should sit on the money for almost a month earning interest on it.

Shocking service and customer care

Shocking service and customer care. I’d suggest avoid this company (LSH Stockport) at all costs.
We bought 2 used Vito vans with a view to new ones this year.
We are buying 2 new vans, not from Mercedes and never will we deal with LSH again.
No idea of customer service at all.

Beware there is no after care

Through Mercedes Assist I was given a courtesy car for less than a day. Nobody walked me around the car inspected it or made notes of previous damage at Enterprise. Literally bought the car home and then drove to Mercedes Solihull to pick up my repaired car.
Mercedes took the car, asked them to inspect it to which they said they didn’t need to do. 2 days on I get a email with vehicle condition altered and there are damages to the vehicle. Call enterprise and I am assured nothing will come of it don’t worry. 1 hr later £750 is deducted from my account no notice. Hours later, tons of call later & Mercedes can’t help nor can enterprise it will need investigating by the manager who is adamant the damage happened at Mercedes solihull. No damage report provided, no pictures no proof I damaged the vehicle. No bumper damage as you can see from the pics which later on changes to side damage. Petrol barely used as you can see from before and after pics of dashboard.
My bad for trusting both Enterprise and Mercedes Solihull and not doing my own due diligence. I should have filmed the car. I was told by enterprise I could leave it with Mercedes and Mercedes said the same thing.
Beware guys and hire or use them at your own peril. They do nothing to assist and will leave you out of pocket. So many bad reviews online yet I fell for them. I will be taking legal action after all the stress they have caused. Biggest regret.
This is not how you treat paying customers. You don’t have the right to just take money from someone’s account without notice or justification.
How do I know the damage wasn’t sustained by them. Why wasn’t I given a pre existing damage report. Why didn’t Mercedes check the car or link in with Enterprise. I made Enterprise Bham aware the vehicle was there 2 hours prior yet they left it till the next afternoon to pick up.
Such a scam! Mercedes shouldn’t be using a company that treats its customers so badly

Disgusting customer service

I had an extremely disappointing experience at Mercedes-Benz of Whitefield.

I booked my vehicle in for an MOT over a month in advance and rearranged my schedule to ensure I could attend the appointment. When I arrived, I waited over 30 minutes, assuming the appointment would proceed as planned. After this wait, I was finally told by a member of staff that they could no longer carry out the MOT due to staffing issues.

What is most frustrating is that no one contacted me beforehand to inform me that the appointment could not go ahead. A simple phone call or email would have saved me the inconvenience of rearranging my day and travelling to the dealership unnecessarily.

To make matters worse, the employee who delivered this information was dismissive and defensive, showing little concern for the inconvenience caused. There was no meaningful apology and no genuine attempt to resolve the situation.

This is not the level of service anyone expects from a premium brand like Mercedes-Benz. Customers trust dealerships to respect their time and honour booked appointments.

If this is how scheduled services are handled, it raises serious concerns about the dealership’s organisation and customer care standards.

I would appreciate a response from the management team at Mercedes-Benz Whitefield explaining how this situation occurred and what will be done to ensure other customers are not treated in the same way.

Very disappointing experience.

Came for mu service first time thought it be a garage . A disgrace of a place for a Mercedes garage. You would expect a good service and a decent set up for customers. No beverages while waiting machines not working. Felt like I was in a Ford garage. Not recommend next time will go to the main dealer in erdington

I took my car to the Mercedes…

I took my car to the Mercedes dealership in Stockport on 8 December 2025 to repair a fuel system fault. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing.

After leaving the car with them, it seemed that it was mostly kept parked rather than properly inspected or repaired. When the car was returned to me, the condition was actually worse than before, with more faults appearing than when I originally brought it in.

To make matters more frustrating, I was then asked to pay £999, even though the issue had not been properly resolved. I expected a professional service from a Mercedes dealership, but this experience did not meet that standard.

Overall, I am very disappointed with the service I received and hope the dealership will improve how they handle customer vehicles and repairs in the future.had a very disappointing experience with the Mercedes dealership in Stockport.
The customer service was extremely poor, and I felt that I was treated unfairly and disrespectfully. At times, the behaviour I experienced felt discriminatory, which made the situation even more upsetting.
I took my car in for a repair, but instead of fixing the issue, the condition of the car became worse. The staff were also very aggressive in their attitude and did not seem to care about helping or supporting the customer.
What was even more frustrating is that they tried to charge me for repairs that should have been covered under warranty.
Overall, this was a very negative experience. I expected much better professionalism and customer care from a Mercedes dealership
