Recently a plastic clip (I now know it's called a "bottom bar button") broke on one of our Venetian blinds that we had fitted by John Lewis at least 15 years ago. I contacted Luxaflex via their websit... See more

I recently bought my conservatory and vertical blinds from a local Luxaflex dealer, who then came and fitted them for me.
Very pleased, very straight forward now issues fuss or bother.

I ordered several faux wood shutters from a local retailer and had them fitted very promptly to a very high standard. I am delighted with the product and have since had more shutters installed in my home. The product requires very little, if any, maintenance; all that is required is a wipe with a damp cloth from time to time to keep them looking pristine. I have no hesitation in recommending this product.

We recently purchased the Duette range of blinds for our conservatory roof from our local Luxaflex dealer. I must say the service we received was first class, and the roof blinds have enabled us to use our conservatory all year round, keeping it cooler in the summer and warmer during the winter months. Top class service and product.

We have the Luxaflex Duette model. Unfortunatley they are not reliable. We are on our 3rd one is 4 years, the mechanisms keep breaking internally so the blind sticks or does not retract correctly when lifted.
Have had a good service from our Supplier but Luxaflex do take weeks/months to make replacements. So far they have always honored the 5 year warranty, which restarts everytime we get a replacement. Very expense product but unfortunatley not very reliable.
Now had the product upgraded for no extra cost, it been a long time but I think we finally have a satifactory solution.

We paid over £2000 just over 5 years ago for 5 duette blinds. The pleats in all the blinds have started to tear so when you pull them up they look torn. We asked John Lewis to contact luxaflex to see if they can be repaired or replaced. We got a flat no. It’s a lot of money to spend on blinds which tear just after the guarantee period. There is a reason they will only guarantee their blinds for 5 years. We’ve had blinds which cost a 10th of the price which are still going strong.

We have bought over £2000 worth of duette blinds, both from different suppliers . During the last 2 years all blinds with the smartcord have all broken. Thats 8 blinds out of 8.
It takes at least 2 weeks to repair if you are lucky, then, one year on, exactly the same issue, the smartcords do not retract, the blinds dont go back up.
Of the 8 that have been repaired, all 8 then needed repairing a year later. Of the 8 that have been repaired, 3 have been lost in the post on more than one occasion and had to be remade.
We last raised the issue of the latest breakdown with our supplier in August. It took 4 weeks to collect, 4 weeks to acknowledge they had been lost in the post, we are now in November and still no sign of the blinds.
If you try and repair them yourself, you will void the warranty, and so you tie yourself to a system of failure and disappointment having been comprehensively missold by the slick website.
These guys do not produce quality products, just premium prices. Do not get sucked in as we did, find any alternatives.

This is my second set of luxaflex blinds and I couldn’t be more pleased with them. The service was excellent from the initial consultation to the measurement and fit. The installers called me after the fitting to ask if there were any problems. Well worth the money and I have no complaints.

Steer well clear!!
Spent £1000 for custom blinds, waited a very long time for them to finally arrive defective (scratches all over the finish) as now committed agreed to a discount. Less than 2 years later none of the blinds work!! Strings/cables all frayed or broken. Customer service says go to private firm as can't repair their own blinds!! Also says now out of warranty even though I raised the issue as Covid hit and they couldn't come to assess the issue. Awful quality, awful value for money and awful customer service. BEWARE: some sellers say the poor ratings are due to local sellers. I have been in direct contact with Luxaflex and was told they do not 'do customer service' rather to go to the next seller! That's in London and I'm in Bristol... really rubbish product and service

A disappointing saga of poor quality and poor customer service -
I ordered 3 duette blinds for one large window (2x2m). I previously had a good experience of having a single duette blind made for this window which lasted about 10 years. I explained when I placed the order that I wanted the effect of aligned pleats across all 3 blinds, having previously had a single Luxaflex duette blind for the same window.
After a 2 month wait to get the 3 blinds made, they arrived and when fitted it was immediately obvious that the pleats on 1 blind were massively mismatched with the other two (which did align exactly). The mechanism also didn't work after raising and lowering it a few times.
Luxaflex were extremely slow in dealing with this (4 months to get to some sort of 'resolution'). They took all the blinds back, tried to fix the faulty blind twice and then, when it was still misaligned with the other two, basically told me via the suppliers, 'we don't guarantee duette pleats will align across multiple blinds'.
Luxaflex's customer service and product quality are extremely disappointing. I would not have chosen to have the Luxaflex duette blinds at all if I had been made aware they would not guarantee that the pleats would match up across 3 blinds ordered for the same large window. I would have chosen a much cheaper alternative of 3 Roman blinds.
Apparently the suppliers were also not made aware that Luxaflex will not guarantee the alignment of pleats across blinds and indeed Luxaflex don't say this on their website or in their literature. However, I was specifically told by the supplier when he measured up and by the Luxaflex engineer who eventually came after 3 months of complaining, that Luxaflex cut the blinds from the same piece of cloth to ensure the Duette blinds do match up.
Luxaflex clearly do something different in practice according to the email sent by their head of commercial management, but they have failed to inform their suppliers or their own staff of this.

Having delivered broken goods, 6 weeks ago,
Then they lost the replacement in the post,
Then they lost the second replacement to the wrong destination,
Then on the fourth attempt, the package arrived with the fitter today, the wrong part.
The most incompetent clowns that ever lived.
They cannot deliver a stock part. It all gets shipped from Poland, to cheep to maintain a UK warehouse or production process.
Shoddy business with a big marketing department and premium prices. Total con.
Genuinely the worst service I have ever received.
Everyone I know thinks it is highly amusing that I spent nearly £800 on a single blind, the most of all time ever, and this was the outcome. Do not mistake price for quality of product or service.
The fitter refunded me today.
EDIT: 7 Weeks later, the fitter was able to source a part from a display model, to enable instillation, having jointly given up on Luxaflex.

Blinds installed on bifold doors. With the doors open and when the wind blows the blinds keep banging on door surrounds and making really irritating noise. Asked installers about this, suggested I pull up the blinds! Rather defeats the object.

I have to admit, I’m with the majority of unhappy customers here. Thinking seriously about getting a full refund and they’ve only been in one day!

Like others on here, I wish I had read the reviews before buying these expensive blinds.
They no longer retract and it seems from these comments, even if they are still under guarantee (doubtful) I will need to send them back and wait weeks only to have them come back and fail again.
Right now I have to get on a step ladder to vaguely operate them.
Question: can I be bothered or shall I just get plain simple roller blinds and avoid fancy gizmos. You'd think at my age I'd have known better.
So if anyone reads these reviews, please think long and hard. Do you really need these fancy blinds? Is it worth it the possible aggro that awaits you?
All the best.

We ordered and had fitted the duette blinds for 5 windows in our house 9 years ago in Dublin. We have paid to have them repaired twice in the last 2/3 years, they simply lost tension so cannot be pulled up or down. Even when 'repaired' they only lasted a matter of weeks before failing again. Now we have useless blinds that do not function. They have cost us a lot of money that is a complete waste. My advice is don't bother wasting your money on this product as it won't last long.

The side brackets were left out of my Luxaflex blind order and the installation cannot go ahed as planned. I waited a very long time for the blind to be delivered.
I feel let down by the company. Someone in distribution aren't doing their job. ThIs lack of attention to detail occurred in the 90's but unacceptable in this day of bar codes tracking. I think compensation is appropriate from this multi million company who are 'resting on their laurels' and urgently need some stiff competition

I bought some 250mm vertical blinds 7 years ago which were expensive as far as blinds go.
One of the fixing brackets for a 39/40mm width casing no longer appears to be able to hold up the fitting.
My response from them was the blinds are now obsolete and they do not have what appears to be a standard fitting bracket.
It seems to me that they just can’t be bothered and I will have to look elsewhere for the bracket, this will also apply to any blinds I may require in the future.

It would be useful if Luxaflex would respond to my February review - after spending over £25k all I’m asking is for 4 battery packs which Luxaflex broke when after 2 years of attempting to automate my blinds
I have had an awful experience with Luxaflex. We spent nearly £1000 on two duplex blinds for our bifold doors. We have had them for 3 years and we have had to have them replaced 3 times. The first time they arrived with a fault in the material. The last twice the cords have snapped inside the duplex blind and its just happened again!! We thought we were buying quality and they would last a 'lifetime' but very very disappointed. I urge people to shop elsewhere...we will never use them again.

I have owned a Luxaflex venetian blind for ten years and have been very happy with it.. While redecorating I took down the blind and in the process a small plastic lug that attaches the cords to the bottom slat broke. I emailed Luxaflex cutomer service to ask for a replacement. Four days later an envelope arrived containing twenty of the plastic lugs, free of charge. I was able to fit the part and return the blind to full working order within 15 minutes. Thank you Luxaflex. Exemplary customer service
