Extremely stressful and frustrating experience with LycaFly

I booked flights with LycaFly which were later converted into flight vouchers.

In attempting to use my vouchers, LycaFly repeatedly blocked me from doing so, claiming:
• I would need to pay £150+ in additional administrative/change fees just to use my vouchers for a booking.
• The vouchers could ONLY be redeemed through them, and not directly with the airline the vouchers were for.
• The vouchers could only be used for flights, not hotels or holiday packages.

All of the above was completely incorrect when I confirmed directly with the airline and reviewed LycaFly’s own Terms & Conditions.

In addition, they withheld critical booking information, such as the correct email address and booking reference tied to the vouchers, preventing me from redeeming them directly with the airline. When I confronted one of their agents on the phone, they said they were “not allowed” to provide the correct email address.

This experience caused me significant stress and wasted a lot of time, and I was unable to use my vouchers as intended.

I eventually resolved the matter through my bank under Section 75 for ‘goods/services not received’ due to LycaFly’s misleading and withholding of information.

This is by far the worst agency I have ever booked with. I will NEVER use them again. They are misleading and untrustworthy, and I am escalating this matter further to prevent others from being duped or taken advantage of.

Avoid LycaFly – Dishonest and Unreliable Service

I made a booking with LycaFly and they took payment from my account. Shortly after, I received a call from Emirates informing me that my ticket had been cancelled by LycaFly without any notice. Emirates were as surprised as I was.

When I contacted LycaFly, their attitude was rude and unhelpful. They even tried to charge me additional money to “rebook.” I’m still waiting for my refund.

This company’s behaviour is unacceptable and unprofessional. Avoid them at all costs – they caused major stress and financial loss.

Terrible customer service

I made a business class booking with Lycafly using their website (via Skyscanner where they were the cheapest) and paid for the flight (£2,078.72). I then received an email saying the flight wasn't available despite it being shown as available. They then tried to sell me another flight that was £750 more expensive. I requested a refund and received an email saying I had to confirm that there were "no disputes". I requested a refund a second time and was told the refund would take 3-5 days. It is now nearly 2 weeks later and I have received nothing. I have raised a dispute with my credit card company.

Avoid this scam

Avoid. Weren't upfront about their dodgy practices. You 'book' with them and then they email to say your booking isn't confirmed and your ticket price might go up. If you try and cancel they'll charge you £100 each as a cancellation fee which they're also not upfront about. Extremely unprofessional service with inconsistent policies. They'll be hearing from our credit card company 100%.

Sanjeet Kumar Jaishwal And his colleagues are absolute fraudsters - called me repeatedly to bully me and harass me. Took 1440 of my money to tell me that I did not pass security checks yet still took my money and tried to offer me a flight elsewhere. Him and his colleagues then called me a repeatedly to bully and harass me on my personal phone number. I have reported them to everybody and will also be speaking to press this is a horrendous organisation. I am truly shocked and I’m still awaiting my refund.. whatever you do do not book with these people, they are complete and utter crooks.

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM - STEPS ON HOW TO GET FULL REFUND

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM! DO NOT BOOK! READ BELOW HOW I GOT A FULL REFUND!

If you got scammed like I did, try following these steps and I got my full refund of 1.1k pounds back.

Firstly, they are a legitimate registered company on the UK Government website. Their company number (06195960) is on the bottom of their website homepage along with the address of 195 Marsh Wall London E149SG, which matches what is registered. Note - it does not matter that the trading and registered name differ, as long as those two details match.

THIS MEANS YOU CAN (POLITELY) SAY YOU WILL TAKE THEM TO UK SMALL CLAIMS COURT!

Before you get to that stage, once you’ve been harassed over email and calls by Sanjeet Kumar Jaishwal and Dharmendra Sikarwar, follow the below steps:

1. Document all your calls and save down emails so you can lodge a formal complaint. They likely have wrongfully terminated your contract as you didn’t “reply within the specified time” (mine was 90mins from booking) providing passport details and additional bank details. DO NOT send them any more details. Passports are only required for flight check in, and they’ve already got your money. DO NOT pay the additional £140 they suggest to ‘re secure’ your booking.

2. Immediately request a refund. They will tell you they can give you back the full amount minus £200. They will then pressure you into replying ‘ALL OK’ to a fake refund email. DO NOT reply saying ‘ALL OK’.

3. Write a formal complaint email outlining your experience. To help, copy and paste their T&Cs, proving that it does not reference any timeframe policy that triggers an automatic non-refundable cancellation.

See below T&Cs from their website:

1.Other Travel Arrangements including Flight-only

All payments made to Us including deposits are non-refundable unless the Third-Party Suppliers terms and conditions permit refunds where You cancel your Booking. For eligible refundable tickets, a Third-Party Supplier may charge a cancellation fee which will vary depending upon the period of cancellation and the services booked. It is your responsibility to ensure that you are aware of the cancellation fees charged by the Third-Party Supplier of your Booking, and you are advised to review the Third-Party Suppliers terms and conditions. We will apply our administration fee of £100 per person to any refunds received by Us from the Third-Party Supplier. Refunds will not be paid by Us until they have been received by Us from the Third-Party Supplier and this can take as long as 6-8 weeks to process and may in some instances, take longer depending on your method of payment and the response time of the Third-Party Supplier. The processing time is beyond Our control as We may need to receive the return of funds from Third-Party Suppliers who may be located in territories where money processing rules or banking infrastructure is such that a refund will take several days or weeks to process. Any refund amounts must be issued back using the same method in which the amount was debited from the Customer. We will keep You informed of the expected processing time, where possible.

4. Contact your bank notifying them of the situation and the upcoming refund. They will check their system if you have any incoming payments and help put alerts on for you

5. Email LycaFly saying that you have notified your bank, and ask them to confirm the below refund details:

* Specify the exact amount refunded
* Confirm the date and time the refund was processed
* Confirm their (LycaFly) bank details the refund was sent from
* Confirm the recipients (yours) bank details the refund was sent too

6. When the refund still doesn’t come through within 3-4 full business working days (despite LycaFly saying it has been processed), email again for the benefit of the doubt. This is important as if it does go to court, you have to have firstly notified your bank and given LycaFly the true opportunity to do the right thing. Also, don’t be threatening or rude - the court won’t be pleased if it gets to that stage!

7. When you again likely hear nothing, follow up with something along the lines of:

“I’ve heard nothing from your team and have not received notification from my bank that a refund is being processed, so I will be looking into other legal avenues to ensure the return of the £XXX owed by your company.”

For me, this scared them off, I stopped getting emails and phone calls, and I had the full refund back within 48hrs.

I hope this helps!!!!
