I rode this morning on 5/22/26 in Florida where my initial quoted price was $109 asking me to wait 45-50 minutes so I chose that option. There was another option with 18 minutes wait for $119. I accep... See more

its a scam! they just get card infos then after paying through your card the booking will not push thru but the fare is already deducted from your card..
They don’t give you your refund back at…
They don’t give you your refund back at all. They lie and say they do. Don’t use them. Use uber
Allows dangerous individuals to drive for them
I took an uber less than 10 minutes to a brunch spot, while driving, the Lyft driver gestured for the car beside us to pull his window down, began to cuss the driver out for cutting him off and threatened to kill him if I weren’t in the car. The other driver began scrambling in his car like he was looking for a weapon to defend himself. Most horrifying experience in my life. Stop hiring dangerous ppl..
Lyft cheats its drivers
I was a platinum Lyft driver. But, I will no longer work for the platform. Because even though it could determine there was a system error it still held me accountable and essentially cheated me from earning approximately $75 during the time I generally would have worked. Nothing to it, but earned income for me. Its customer service representatives kept telling me I could drive now. But why would I drive for a firm that would cheat me. I asked multiple times for the firm to make it right with me and pay me what I would have earned. They are refusing to be accountable.
My god they charge $45.00 for 21 minute…
My god they charge $45.00 for 21 minute rides on weekday mornings???? It’s insane!!!! People! Go ride a bus cause this isn’t right. They’ve hiked the prices during 9 yo 5 hours so you have to pick them cause uber is even more? I’m riding buses cause that’s crazy and total rip off!!!!!
Lyft will charge you extra fees even when they are clearly at fault
I pre-scheduled to be picked up at Hnl airport and waited for over the alloted wait time for driver at the designated area. I had to make second ride request when it was evident the first driver failed to pick me up. Even though it wasn't due to any failure on my part, I was charged a cancellation fee for initial ride which didn't show up.
Bogus Charges for Ride That Did No Occur
I initially reserved a ride, but within 10 minutes of scheduling, I cancelled. Upon cancelling, I received a pop up informing me that there would be no cancellation charge to my account, as a driver had not been found. Later, I get an email informing me that I have benc charged a $10 cancellation fee. I receive a subsequent email informing me of a $12.96 charge, which would have been the cost of the trip --- a trip, mind you, that never occurred. I tried going online to file a complaint, but to no avail. I need to know how I can speak to/or email somone directly to have those bogus charges reversed, as when I responded to the email, I received an email that my message was sent to an unmonitired address, directed me to the site to click on my issue, which was "to dispute a charge," but that led to nowhere. SO, I am now out of $22.96 for a ride that never happened. I would like a phone number to speak someone directly, and an address to mail my complaint letter to that I plan to also send to the Better Business Bureau, 12 on Your Side, and other media outlets to apprise them of Lyft's shyster operations tactics.
driver did not stop the ride/meter when dropping me off…Lyft cannot correct destination and mileage on receipt
My driver did not stop the meter/complete the ride when he dropped me off. Instead, the app kept running for nearly another hour, doubling my mileage and noting my end point as where I started (the airport) versus my home (where I was dropped off). When the receipt finally arrived, it was for an incorrect amount. After over an hour and a half, most spent chatting with Lyft's app-only/chat-only customer service, the amount was corrected, but they could not correct the incorrect destination or mileage information in the receipt. Work travelers will recognize that errors in destination and mileage gum up the works for reimbursement. But more importantly, I discovered Lyft has NO dedicated phone line where you can speak with an agent. Any phone number you see just drives you back to the apps. It took 15 minutes to get past the closed-ended questions that didn't offer me a solution, another 5 to get past the AI bot. And then I got a purportedly real human in the chat, but all they could offer was empathy statements, noting the errors in the receipt could not be corrected; only the dollar amount.
Lyft bait and switch…
I don’t like Lyft bait and switch Service.
So when you first put in an address, it will show you that a vehicle may be four or five or six minutes away. Once you click “confirm” for the ride it will then give you a driver that may be 10 or 15 minutes away then turn around to ask you to pay more to upgrade to a driver who can get there three, four, or five minutes faster. What kind of nonsense is that? It’s a bunch of bull. If there was a driver closer to a passenger, why wouldn’t you just send that driver? That’s how you maintain excellent customer service and excellent ratings. The bait and switch stuff is for the cows and you all are full of it.
Refused Service and Left Stranded
I'm writing this review to share my terrible experience with a Lyft driver who left me stranded in an unsafe location. I regularly use Lyft as my primary mode of transportation since I don't drive. I occasionally pay for rides on my own, but most of them are contracted through my Medicaid. I'm a 4.9-star rider who takes this service seriously—I tip when I can, and I give drivers a 5.00-star rating at the end of every ride because I appreciate the service they provide.
During this particular ride, I had a grocery bag with me. Almost immediately, the driver began complaining that my grocery bag would "rub off" on her car seats. Despite my confusion about what she meant, she refused to continue the ride and demanded that I get out of the car. I was so shocked by her behavior that I called my mother on the phone, who was able to hear the entire conversation as it unfolded. The driver told me she would report me for this supposed violation, then left me stranded on a dirt road near the KinderCare in Bethel Park and drove away. Afterward, she made herself invisible on the Lyft app, though I don't know if she actually followed through with reporting me or not.
I immediately reported her through the Lyft app, but the damage was already done. My mother had to leave her workplace in the middle of her workday to come pick me up from the side of a dirt road. As someone who relies on Lyft for transportation to get groceries, attend appointments, go to work, and handle daily activities, being abandoned like this over a grocery bag is completely unacceptable and, frankly, discriminatory. I'm extremely disappointed with how this situation was handled and deeply concerned about the lack of accountability for drivers who can refuse service for arbitrary reasons and leave passengers stranded in unsafe locations. This experience has shaken my confidence in a service I depend on for my basic mobility needs.
Watch who y’all hire…
Watch who y’all hire…. This Nicole lil girl picked my husband up at 3am and some change for work and from what I know she had an attitude and rude and had the nerve to scam my husband out of $25 claiming a damage fee when he did not damage anything but just trying to go to work!!! To say a little dirt got on your floor mats because folks do got to walk on the ground to trying to rip people off out of extra money is sad and disgusting….If you can’t handle a ride then maybe Lyfting or Ubering isn’t the job for you! Because if you scam the wrong person you may end up in a situation you don’t want to be in or worse…. Please do better and just take what’s owed and stop trying to scam and be greedy!!! 🤬
Imagine having an account with them and…
Imagine having an account with them and you use their service to go to a local store to purchase their Lyft card to refill your account. Seems like the Lfyt customer service is in a destitute country where no one either comprehends standard English or they're to dumb to interpret the meanings. I refilled card and could not even use the card to get home so, I had to ask a stranger for a ride and pay them when I had a Lyft credit. You contact Lyft and wait weeks on end to hear from a customer service clown who doesn't actually address the matter. Even when you find someone that seems that they will correct the problem, nothing is done. I was told that the issue was fixed and nothing happened until I placed another one of my credit cards on the account. It was as if they were stopping me from using the giftcard until I placed my own personal credit card on there but, I placed a prepaid giftcard and when I did, they tried to gouge the price for the ride. I deleted their app. I had enough of them.
Screw lyft
I just quit driving for lyft today. After six plus years, I have had enough. They are the worst company i have ever worked for and I have over 40 years of work experience. Everything they do is a smokescreen to hide the fact that they are robbing both customers and drivers blind.
Lyft and Uber have the worse drivers
Lyft and Uber have the worse drivers. They take a hundred years to pick you up because they act like they don’t know where they’re going and my thing is, you have a GPS, USE IT! I had one driver that made me late for work because he had a hard time finding my address and I gave him one star for it. another driver was late picking me up because he kept going in other directions instead of the direction he was supposed to go. Lyft drivers and Uber drivers. START USING YALL GPS! they take 20 years to pick you up but as soon as they pick you up, they start speeding. make it make sense.
Lyft tricks
Lyft has temporary authorizations on my credit card since December 26th, 2025. Its January 8th, 2026. Their written policy says 5-7 days. I called lyft and they said it was my card issuer. I called the card issuer and found out lyft sent a release....for February 24Th, 2026. Wtf? Im done with lyft.
CRIMINALS
Im ABSOLUTELY finished with this GD F'N crooked outfit.
They have STOLEN their last dime from ME
BOYCOTT LYFT!!!!!
Lyft stole money from from me
Lyft stole money from from me , they gave a driver a tip with my permission. I contacted them about it they was rude and didn't returne it. After I tried several times
Lyft's compensation model…
Lyft's compensation model disproportionately benefits the company at the expense of its drivers and passengers. Drivers receive only a fraction of the fare, while the platform retains the majority—a practice obscured by a lack of transparency. Upfront pricing for passengers is often misleading, and drivers are not shown what a passenger pays until after a ride is completed. (Drivers, would likely decline most offers if they could see what the passenger paid, before accepting the low payout!) In some cases, passenger fares are adjusted upward days later, without any increase in driver pay. *See other reviews
This system exploits the financial necessity of both drivers and passengers, prioritizing corporate profit over fair compensation and honest pricing. Ultimately, Lyft's predatory practices undermine trust and equity for all parties involved.
My dual perspective as a long-term Lyft driver and user reveals a system rigged for corporate gain at the expense of people. The payment structure is fundamentally deceptive. Drivers frequently earn less than $1 per mile, with per-mile pay dropping on longer trips—a clear sign Lyft takes a disproportionate cut on distance. Their manipulation extends to incentives: "bonus zones" now offer a variable percentage instead of a guaranteed dollar amount, and the opaque "upfront pricing" algorithm shows different drivers different pay for the same work. These are not glitches but features designed to exploit.
