A very good experience has turned sour

I took out a three month Lynk & Co subscription from May to August last year and, when I returned the car, I rated my experience with the company as being worth five stars. During the subscription, the car received a very small stone chip in the windscreen. I contacted Lnk & Co and offered to have the chip repaired by CarGlass for around EUR 145, but Lynk & Co told me - no - the chip would be repaired by the car's insurance after the subscription. When I returned the car, I received an email from Lynk & Co saying that the car would be inspected and any questions or queries would be sent to me within 30 days, "otherwise everything was alright"- Lynk & Co's words. It is now 150 days since the car was returned. Today, 150 days later, I received an invoice from Lynk & Co for EUR 500 for a "Damage handling fee". For what? I offered to pay for the repair of the chip but was told - no, that was covered by the car's insurance, but to be sent an invoice for around three times the repair cost is outrageous, and to send it 150 days after I returned the car is unacceptable.

Be careful and make sure you document everything promised to you

I had a Lynk & Co subscription about 8 months and all was fine, I actually really enjoyed the car and drove quite a lot, clearly over the monthly limit. I returned the car at the end of Jan 2023 and asked about the extra kilometers (in a phone call I did not record unfortunately) and the answer was that they are not charging them. They picked up the car and all well. Except that now I get all of a sudden an email that I have a unpaid invoice... Still haven't gotten the actual Invoice, but called Lynk & Co and now they say that I should pay the extra kilometers! Almost one year after I returned the car and after I have been told no need to pay extra they want almost 1000eur. Needless to say that I will never use this company again.

I’ve used the car sharing in Paris

I’ve used the car sharing in Paris. I have previously used for years Car2go and Communauto in New York and Montreal which used the the car access principles. Lynk and co was a NIGHTMARE end to end. Basically the car looses connection with the network or the cell phone from time to time. As there is no key in the car you are stuck with a powerless key (your phone). I used it twice, it took me 10-15 min to end the booking the first time because of network issue (boulevard des batignolles), the car was stuck twice during the day (did not detect my phone and the customer service said they will tow the car until after 15min it worked) and I could not end my booking because the something was open although the app and the car were telling me everything closed. THERE IS NO 24/7 customer service so you can suck it up from 5pm to 9am if you are having issues

Great idea, great car, awful tech. Please suspend this service until you get your s***t figured out.

Stay away if you can...!

Not much to add to the previous reviews.
Great car, worthless service.
Ordered and prepaid my winter tyres and 4 weeks later I finally get a message asking me to give my availability for an appointment in January......
Countless calls and messages to customer service in the past weeks to make sure this was not the case.
"4/5 weeks maximum" they said.......be patient they said..... and finally the excuse is: "As you can experience, we are working on many cases at the same time as many customers need to change the wheels" what a surprise, we are in December!
Non-professional.
Non-transparent.
Non-efficient.

Prices keep increasing and service keeps declining.

Liar company!

Liar company!
I ordered the car at the beginning of June with a waiting time of 3/4 months.
Expecting the car in September/October.
Given that I did not receive any emails about collecting the car, I contacted them and they mentioned that the waiting time was 6/7 months.
Today I wrote to them to understand the situation of the car and they said that the waiting time is 8/9 months without informing me!
It's just a liar company with bad customer service.

Very happy with customer support!!!!!

It’s our second time we rent a car from Lynkco in 2 countries on a long term basis. First time was a very positive experience for us. And this time with Lynkco Barcelona we could not wish for better experience. Everything from the start of getting the car to handling our case was only positive. Customer support was there for us every time we need it help. Recently we had a car accident and they have managed to arrange everything for us. From towing the car to arranging a temporary car till we get a replacement. Due to an accident we couldn’t remove all our personal belongings like wallets and driving license but when the car got to their work shop they have managed to retrieve for us all our belongings. A special thanks to David and Andrea who has been extra helpful and patient with us through the whole case.
Tomorrow (Saturday) we will get our temporary car( arranged by Lynkco ) till they manage to provide us with replacement Lynkco 01. Keep up the good work guys !

Lynk & Co 09 - Awful to Drive

I’m unfortunately driving a Hertz Lynk & Co 09 SUV in Spain and Portugal. It’s done about 35,000km but it’s horrible to drive, especially not having familiarity with its systems and Hertz don’t leave instruction manuals for guidance. The worst feature is the positively dangerous lane keeping control, which I’m yet to figure out how to disable. It seems to be far too active physically, and creates a distraction too easily. There’s also a mechanical issue with the drive train when accelerating, causing serious vibrations as if you’re driving on a corrugated surface. This causes serious reliability anxiety, exaggerated because I’m a foreigner and if it does breakdown, it will be difficult to get assistance and seriously disrupt my travel plans.

I give it a one star rating because there isn’t a zero star offered.

Customer service / support is terrible

The car on it's self is nice, onboarding went smoothly, but...
If the car has technical issues... run...
In my case the coolant was leaking.

Customer service is terrible, the car is already in the garage for over a week, but nobody has any clue.
After calling for an hour I got forwarded to the garage that estimates it will be at least a month.

The replacement car is a ford fiesta, which is terrible for a family of 5. When I asked if I could get something equivalent to the lynk&co, the answer was: you are mobile, what is your problem. Besides the fact that customer support was just rude, always interrupting, terrible sound (like they were calling from a bar), and didn't even want to bother to look into the details. He even told me: we have this request every day. If that is the case: Lynk & Co has a serious quality issue.

And please give Jan training on how to handle customers... your people deserve to have a minimum of education.

They have an agreement with the car provider for a cost of 60€ per day... for that money I can have something better somewhere else. (you can check hertz, eurocar, ... )

Lynkco, yes please.

First of all, I've read all the negative reviews when having to contact the technical department. That doesnt bode well....
I have not had to contact the technical department, so my review is all about the car. And ordering it.
The ordering process is clear enough. You'll sign up but that doesnt mean the ordering process has started. You will need to get a confirmation. That is something else then the email confirmation you get when you sign up for the first time. You'll need to get a order confirmation, which indicates the order process will start.
Once thats done the timeline Lynkco gives you will apply.

And to be honest, for me it worked fine. I also see the reviews of people where its quite a hassle. But stick with it. Or if you really wanto go another route, compare the car to a Tiguan or a Q5. Size wise they dont come close. For extra add on's the 01 has, the VW or Audi charges for extras will have you pay 10.000 EUR or more.
My friend got a Merc GLS, and even that doesnt have Highway assist. Which is assisting you to stay in you lane like Tesla autopilot. On our drive to Spain from Netherlands this proved to be quite a workload reducer. I can honestly see myself trusting the system to keep me safe. On two occasions it was breaking before me when rearending a traffic jam. Absolutely impressive.
The computer processor is slow, and could be quicker from the start to make the experience more pleasurable. The system takes a while to start up. Android Auto is 50/50. Its often I have to reset Android auto to be able to connect my phone again.

The seats are not leather and they used some sort of recycled nylon. While I appreciate the thought, the seats are too hot. I am starting sweating in Dutch climates, with the AC on, in no time. Sweaty back and such. I ordered seat covers for camping seats which are made from beach towel material. This alleviates it to an extend. But the seats are not good.
Everything else however is absolutely great. The car is extremely quiet, the dual layer frontwindows do isolate the noise. It rides like on rails, despite it being a heavy car. The hybrid aspect gives functions that are very comfortable to drive with. One being regenerative braking. Put the auto gearbox from D to B and as soon as you lift the gaspedal, brake energy is sent to the battery. Driving through Andorra, we managed to recharge the battery by 50%, only on rolling down the mountain.
If I had something about the hybrid then Id wish I had a bit more range. It indicates 72 km usually, which lasts about 50 km on the highway. A 120 km would better serve the range needed. But the combination Petrol and Electric works really wel. You cab choose Pure, Hybrid and Power as engine setting. Pure being 100% elec, Hybrid a combo between elec and petrol. Power will feed petrol and elec to both engines to have you go very quick. In particular when at speed, the acceleration is impressive.
The remote key is clucky big and only seems to work within 2-3 meters close to the car. Same goed for keyless entry. Most the time the car doesnt register the key is in my pocket and I have to bring the key close to the door for it to open on me touching the inside of the doorhandle. I find this to be more of a hassle and tend to use the buttons on the remote to be sure the door opens.
But as sad before, we really like the car and are impressed by the amount of options it has standard. Highly recommended. I would order this car again, despit the seats. I love it.

I am not happy with lynk&co and with…

I am not happy with lynk&co and with their service, they took back my lynk&co car after 2 weeks when I received it because of a broken sensor, as replacement car I received a Volkswagen lupo, totally not comparable with the link&co car. They said it will take a few days to repair, but it took 7 months and I ended up breaking the contract which has cost me a lot of money, all this months I drove the VW Lupo and i paid high monthly costs. I called weekly for asking an update but the technical service is not reachable. Nobody ever will call back, the only thing they do correct is sending invoices. This company is not correct, they steel money from people.

really bad service, non existing cars

Typical Dutch - rude and non-existent customer care.
Guess what happens when you book a Car Sharing, you have it approved, nothing is cancelled, and you are fully charged? Easy, the car is not there and there is absolutely no phone number you can reach out.
What does the company do? Not even a refund. Ridiculous. I reported them to ConsuWijzer, I suggest you do, too. This is another Van Moof.
Special negative shout out to Nanny from customer service.

car sharing/booking function

This review is just limited to the “renting” of the Lync & co. Ie the car share aspect.
Having made 6 separate bookings for different cars around the stockholm area is Sweden, I finally gave up and chose a main stream rental company.

The bookings would just time out after 24hrs and delete and the only way you would know is when you access the app to check on the progress. No emails, no texts etc. ( which have become the norm on similar apps).

I tried contacting the company through the app, but the help/contact button takes you to “more information about the car”? Section. Eventually I spoke to someone through the service telephone and it sounded like they were out shopping and the handsfree wasn’t connecting! Brilliant, she had to cancel the call because we couldn’t hear each other. Very strange setup (imo).
I finally confirmed that all of my details where correct, licence, credit card etc. so no reason why it wasn’t working.
I tried twice again and still the booking would time out. So no car and no booking.
In my experience the booking/car sharing function is a great idea poorly executed. I’ve now deleted the app and continued with another car sharing company.

Wanted to select 0 Star.

Wanted to select 0 Star.
Took doule the time for me to get the car than initially expected. Then issues with billing.
The worst customer service I've seen in years. Disorganized and unprofessional, there may be no training for the people. Just push them in front of a computer with a phone and screen.
If you call 3 times with the same questions you will get 3 different answers.
I need to return my car and infored 2 weeks in advance of the last date I am available.
After following up by email several times, had to call on the eve of the agreed date/time to check if pick up was confirmed. lady said yes and the 20 minutes someone call to ask for the scheduling for subsequent week. They do not even bother to read the emails and check the situation carefully.
What a mess!!!
Ah, almost forgot: one day out of the blue the car just would not start appearing some messages on the panel. Called SOS on the car and after almost 30 minutes waiting someone picks up and instead of trying to instruct me do to something, said they would send someone. I was in a hurry and left to solve it on the next day (had to spend EUR 100 on uber) , and when I came back at night the car started again.

Not a pleasant or straightforward experience.

Took them a month after “reserving” 700 euros to tell me I wasn’t credit worthy. I own my own house, have no mortgage, no rent, no other finance, so it’s not really a subscription if there are all the same checks as for traditional car finance. I don’t have to prove I own my own home and have sufficient income for Netflix or Spotify, so how is this different, you pay in advance for what you consume. So now waiting another 30 days for a refund.

Perfect for what you pay

I find it amusing how many negative reviews I came across about this car rental company. People seem to expect everything to be perfect when they choose a relatively new company to rent a car from. How naive can they be? The reason why you choose this company is most likely because you wanted a cheap option with no strings attached. If something goes wrong with the car you've rented, simply cancel it and get a new one like I did, instead of venting your frustrations on the internet.

Let me tell you, the car I rented was absolutely amazing. It's unfair to judge the company based on customer service alone, which admittedly needs some improvement. But that doesn't make this company as bad as some people make it out to be. It's time for people to grow up and realize that renting a car comes with some risks. So, if you're looking for a great car rental experience without breaking the bank, this company is worth considering. Just be aware that there might be some hiccups along the way. Overall, I highly recommend it!

the worst car I have ever hired

the worst car I have ever driven, none of the tech worked, touch screen was impossible to use - which was beyond frustrating, the parcel shelf in the boot is one piece of solid plastic so made it impossible to put 2 items of luggage in the back.
