HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

Car is fine, customer service is horrible. I have been experiencing technical problems with the car’s connection since the car got delivered. Customer service still has yet to give me a solution after weeks of waiting. When you call them, no one takes you seriously or does anything to fix the issue. Less Instagram and hipster parties and MORE quality for customer service!!!

Beware of half a product

Hardware is nice. Software sucks. Sharing system and billing system is useless. Service like after sales parts or service system is broken.

The car as a service model subscription without any…

The car as a service model without any form of service!

The car itself is fine. The customer service is horrible. Don't respond to messages, when you call they don't take you seriously. They have a so called service model that makes no one responsible, leaving your request hanging.

I have many examples of the poor service level. For example I ordered winter tires in the first week of October. Have been calling about it multiple times for the last two weeks (it's mid December) and still no winter tires. Now we have a ski Holliday coming up and I cannot reach the destination without the ordered winter tires. No one takes responsibility, they say it will be fine, leave notes to colleagues. But yet no appointment, high stress levels and uncertainty. This is just one of the many customer support frustrations.

we like the car but because of the absolute lack of basic service we will end the subscription as soon as we have another car

Some difficulties ordering, but I now have the car

After some initial difficulties, I just now picked up my new car (I bought it, not leased it). The car looks pretty nice. The purchasing process was quite painful, but as it turns out some of the problems were caused by factors completely outside Lynk and Co’s control. And since these problems were specific to my personal situation, it is not likely other buyers would have the same experience. A more established/experienced car dealer might have handled this better, but perhaps not.

As such, I have completely rewritten my review, and give them a neutral rating (3 stars). Most of the Lynk and Co’s folks I interacted with were very friendly and professional, with a special thumbs up to the lady from customer support who helped me.

The car itself is good

The car itself is good, the driving tech works but the entertainment and navigation system takes 4 minutes to load up. If you are in a busy city this is 3’ 55” to long. That is not the worst of it. Their accounts team does not know how much you have paid. Sends yous receipts for payments you have not made and returns payments you have made and then demands money as if you hadn’t paid. The staff are generally friendly but discourteous in the fact that they never listen to your problems or answer your questions. They recite the dogma that they are a small new company and that’s why there mistakes. They are part of Geely and Volvo - not a new small company. I wouldn’t bother again with a Geely brand and I terminated my contract as I will pay good money for poor service.

Car is quite nice, customer service really poor

Car is quite nice, but there are no parts and from a customer experience this company is absolute worst in class. Endless queues in there call center. I just have been transferred to TSA, their technical department…… 30 minutes plus and waiting 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

Very bad customer experience

My Lynk&co car was taken into assistance for something that should have been a very easy thing to fix (one door didn’t close/open properly) on 4th october 2022. We are today 9th november 2022 and they are still unable to give me a POSSIBLE DATE to have the car back. They say the piece comes from China and they don’t know when it will be delivered, so they have to keep the car. They gave me a Fiat Tipo as replacement car with Avis and meanwhile i keep paying my full monthly membership. It’s unacceptable!

Really bad customer experience

We have subscribed for a car. The delivery time was 2-4 weeks. Right after our booking on website, we got a call and Lynk&Co confirmed a date to pick up.

We supposed to pick the car on 3rd November at 11am. We were on our way and we got a call from Lynk&Co to say that the car is not ready. They can’t give a new time and we need to wait.

It has been 5 days now and still no date. The communications is super bad. They don’t try to compensate it in any way. I assume they have enough subscribers or sold enough.

So regretful for trusting the brand.

Very bad service

Very bad service. The customer support always do reckless mistakes. They don't respect the customers, shouting over the phone with a lot of ignorance.
I had a technical issue with the car and I've been into the customer support loop for the last 48 hours without any solution. This was not the first time. It happened several times in the past where the car went to the workshop for TUV inspections and promised to bring it back in the same day. Instead it took several days without a replacement.

Never ever trust them with your money

I have three issues with Lynk:

1) The car didn't work
2) The app, and thus sharing the car, absolutely didn't work.
3) They tried to steal my money, and have a total lack of customer service (I'll explain below)

1) CAR DIDN'T WORK
I picked up a brand new car. First few days was fine from a driving perspective, men things stared faulting one by one.
- Lamps indicating different issues went from yellow to red to off to yellow again at random intervals
- All radar systems malfunctioned (cruise control, trailer systems, parking assistent)
- Window could be lowered sometimes, some times not. After they could be lowered once but then took half a day before they could be taken back up again I didn't dare touch them again.
- Apple Car play worked 1/5 times I tried. If it didn't work you had to restart the car and try again.
- The climate control system had it's own life. At some point there was full blowing heat, just to come back down again and back and forth. Couldn't control it at all.
- I could lock the car sometimes, but not always. If it didn't work you had to start the car again, turn it off and pray that it would lock this time.
- The built in app worked sometimes, but most often it thought I was my brother (who rented the car).

After 4 weeks they finally picked it up and gave med a car to loan instead, and said "we'll be in touch". Then I didn't hear from them again and had the lent car for the reminder of my 2 months.

--

2. THE APP - AND SHARING - ABSOLUTELY DIDN'T WORK
I thought the built-in sharing was an excellent idea, that was my main motivation to get an Lynk. It took me about 2-3 days just to set up sharing in the app, because it was crashing and bugging all the time.

Once set up I tried to rent it out to my brother a couple of times. When he rented it it was a bit random if he could get in to the car or not.

At one time he had the car for a week and drove a bit from where we live. Then all of a sudden the sharing stopped working. He talked to the support, who told him that he had to cancel the rent in the middle - he would not be billed for that - and then ask me to set it up again.

I got a notification that the car was returned, noting else. At this point it would be good for me to know that the car is returned 700km from where I live - but no such notification.

I set up a new rent period with my brother, and he could then drive it home. He was then billed 2000 SEK in penalty for not ending the rent period at the home spot of the car.

Over all the app and sharing function were so crazy behind on development I can't understand how they'd ever published that version of the app. It should have been in alpha testing at that time. It worked out with my brother because I know he rented it and we could call each other if something happen, but I wouldn't for the life of me have dared to rent it out to someone I didn't know. If nothing else because there was no way for me and that person to get in contact if something happened.

--

3. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ALL
On several occasions, over the phone, via email etc. I've told the company about all these issues and said that I need to be reimbursed. If I'm paying for a car that doesn't work, and/or if the functionality they've said isn't there - it's not fair that I should pay full price.

These complaints have been met with a wall of silence, never have they gotten back to me regarding this.

When the car had to be taken to service they where going to get back to me - but I didn't ever hear from them.

The worst part however is that all in all they should have paid med SEK 2300 for the times I "shared" the car with my brother. No way I had him pay that much, the main portion of it is the penalties he was promised he would never have to pay. They still took his money and said that they paid it to me.

Which they never did.

I told them that also, asking for them to pay me my money but was ignored. Until someone realised they forgot to pick up one of the two sets of keys I had. There was a bit of a mix-up since I didn't get to return "my" car, but instead the car I was having while mine was in service.

Since then they've gotten back to me once per 2-3 months asking me to give back the key to them. I've said I'm very happy to do so, as long as they pay what they owe me. So today, 7-8 months after it should have been paid, they actually paid me what was my money all along.

Did they reimburse anything because of all the issues? Of course not. Not a cent more than what was my money all the time. No apology, no "sorry this happened to you", no nothing.

This might well be the worst experience I ever had interacting with what I thought was a serious company.

I'll tell you what I tell all my friends; Never ever get a Lynk & Co. They'll take your money, and your time and you'll just regret it.

Lynk & Co 01: makes mistake in ordering process, but can not fix it

In May I took a test drive in the Lynk & Co 01. Soon after I ordered the car with great enthusiasm by filling in a form on the website.

After placing the order, indicating my preferred color, membership and preferred delivery date, I did not receive a confirmation in my email.

So I immediately contacted the helpdesk. "Sir, your details have been received in good order, you will receive an order link in October. In August I called again for an update and the same story was confirmed.

Today I called again and the helpdesk employee indicated that no order was known. She could see my contact history and confirmed that a large number of orders had gone 'wrong' because the ordering process had been changed in the meantime. With which probably also my order was 'lost'.

When I asked if my order could still be placed faster, the answer after inquiring was 'No, you just have to order and wait in line. Our process does not make it possible. We are a young company..." This means that I have to order again which results in a delay of at at least half a year.

Long story short; no Lynk & Co for me. I can't sponsor a company that runs its business so badly.

Bad service

Bad service! Worst costumer support! We have an issue with the car for 2 months now and it doesn't even seem that they are trying to resolve it. List of things that are not working - navigation, bluetooth, radio, sign in to Lynk&co account... and so much more. The car went to the garage and returned unfixed. Said they cannot fix the issue. Every time I need to call the constomer service I wait more than 30 minutes on the line, they never call back to give answers, no compensation, no answers!!! Just super frustrating and not worth it! If you are even considering taking the car - dont! save your money!

Decent Car / Terrible Customer Care

The car is decent, not great but decent. I have had it 9 months, no real issues, today I cancelled the membership. Customer Service is a horror show, first 3 months car share did not work, you're on hold for hours with people in Holland (now you are on hold with people in China).
I try and book a service, that they write to me to do, and I call, nobody understands and they promise to call back in 5 mins (2 hours ago).

Final straw is the price increase, they have reduced the service for Swedes, no longer collect and return the car for tire change, yet put the price up. It's a good idea poorly executed.

Price increase of 10% while not…

Price increase of 10% while not offering any of the promised service. Business club in Barcelona never opened, sharing/borrowing function ‘turned off because of covid regulations’ but now the excuse changed to ‘our developers work hard on this beta function’. Against all promises! The concept is to SHARE YOUR CAR which has never been offered. How on earth can you raise your price while you don’t offer 2/3rd of your product?! Contact via email works, but answers are templated and asking to have the case escalated brings you nowhere. Filing a complaint for Consumer board as we speak. Every new company needs PROMOTORS to be successful, this is a full miss!

Blocked my account

Tried to become a monthly member but after filling in my address it the website told me that the address was wrong. I have not been able to place an order since and when I called the customer "service" they told me my account had been blocked for at least 3 months.

Absolutely terrible experience before even getting the car.

I do not feel confident at all on the IT solution behind Lynk & Co as my account was blocked even before becoming a customer.

It's simply not fulfilling the promise

The car is ok, but the service is not. They were supposed to launch the carsharing functionality on Nov 2021 but it's now March 22 and no functionality is in sight...

It's been over 10 days that I requested to repair the car window and no answer at all!

It was a nice idea, but awful implementation and service.
