Stop Deleting My Reviews

I cannot write a review on their website unless I give it 5 stars. Won't be buying from them and will prefer Rituelle de Fille from now on. :)

Do you think we're too dumb to know what we want? Do you think you have to turn every purple into a red because we can't handle what we think we want? Stop trying to trick people into buying another red, but there's something N o V e L about it!

an email from MAC offering a…

Received an email from MAC offering a free gift if you spend over £70, I was only originally going to spend £52 but decided to spend over £70 to get the gift. I ordered within a couple of hours of receiving the email and it said my free gift was on the order. I have received my order and the free gift was not with my delivery but they did say that fortunately I was not getting charged for it. The offer on was on until the 31st August. I phoned customer services today and spoke to a really rude advisor who said they had run out of free gifts, surely they are not having enough to go round if they run out within a couple of hours when the offer has not even finished yet. I will not be ordering again from MAC. I wish I had read the reviews first.

Fake gift promotions

I can see from other reviews that this is now a trend with Mac. They send you an offer - Free gift if you spend this minimum amount - and even if you place the order immediately, there will be no gift - they conveniently say on the offer "no code necessary" and add at the very bottom while stocks last. There is no way to add the gift in your basket, because it is probably just a marketing feat. It's a shame that they have to do that, because Mac products are very good, and I will still buy them, when I need them, but for sure they get a slap on the wrist for having to resort to this sort of techniques. My rating is for the experience, and does not reflect the quality of the products, which are in fact very good.

I am really loving the MAC powder…

I am really loving the MAC powder product that you sent me! It goes on smoothly & it lasts majority of the day! I definitely recommend this powder! I received this product for free from MAC for testing and review purposes.

The website is literally click bait

The website mentioned to buy a product and get a lipstick free on 26th of july. Thank God i took a screenshot to share it with my mom cause i was so excited to see this offer. Turns out a complete click bait. When i picked up my order and asked about the free lipstick, they said sorry we cant give u we are out of stock. So convenient!

snarky workers

went to the mac store on carnaby street and was completley ignored, the customer service was bad as people who worked their were giving attitude to paying customers asking them to be patient and 'wait there turn to buy somthing' in a extremly snarky way. i did not feel welcome and left before even buying anything as no one helped me even though i was in the store for over 15 minutes. i won't be going back

It was a very bad experience at the MAC…

It was a very bad experience at the MAC store in Dubai Mall. I visited the store on July 30th around 3:30 PM. There were three staff members, and when I asked one of them for help, she clearly didn’t want to assist me. I only wanted help finding the right product, but the staff seemed uninterested and were just talking among themselves. This is not what I would expect from a well-known brand like MAC. Really poor customer service.

I was refunded for the wrong items, they still OWE ME MONEY!

I was refunded for the wrong items!!
Which were the lower priced ones, I’ve gotten in contact through chat 3 times, not successful, I was told to wait for the refund to process (NOTHING) I called their customer service phone number and completely failed. She asked me to call back ? Why ?! I’m so pissed. I will never EVER buy anything from MAC again. I will let all my friends know not to shop there either.

Visited the Norwich store inside the…

Visited the Norwich store inside the Jarrolds last month and was served by Sonny and Courtney who were very attentive and helpful in fulfilling my queries for lipstick and liner combos! They were both so friendly and their customer service was wonderful!

Mac Arlington TX RIPOFF

Mac Arlington TX placed an order for me in store and the same day sent an email saying cancelled due to unavailability. I have been trying since June 16, 2025 to get my refund. Whenever I call customer service they say the order was canceled and I was not charged. I called the store placed a conference call to the helpdesk and a lady named Latoya T explain to me that I will receive my refund within 7 to 10 business days back to my original method of payment, today is July 14, 2025. I am still awaiting my refund. I spoke with a supervisor in customer service today by the name of Trinity and she told me that she will send my request over to escalations and call me back. This is unacceptable and I would never ever order from Mac Cosmetics again , they are a rip off and a fraud

Ella was great

I turned up without booking an appointment at the Cribbs Causeway, John Lewis store and met with Ella. Ella was lovely, she listened to everything I said and came up with thoughtful suggestions to help me achieve my desired look. 2 products were out of stock but she wrote them down for me to order later. Ella had to see to the till in between helping me but that was fine as I hadn’t booked an appointment. Ella was lovely.

If good customer support matters to…

If good customer support matters to you, think twice before buying from MAC.

I've been a loyal MAC customer for over 20 years and have always trusted the brand – until now. I recently purchased the Studio Fix Plus Powder in my usual shade NC35, only to discover that the colour is noticeably different from the original NC35 I've used for years. There was no indication that the shade or formula had changed, which is incredibly frustrating for long-time customers who expect consistency.

What’s worse is the complete lack of response from MAC’s customer service. I first reached out over four weeks ago and have followed up multiple times – still no reply. I’ve tried everything: email, online forms, and the live chat, which is basically a dead end managed by a chatbot with no option to speak to a real person.

It’s disappointing and frankly shocking that a global brand like MAC appears to ignore its customers entirely.

Disappointing customer service

Went to MAC in Liverpool and was waiting to be served. Big blonde girl served customer in front of me then left till to help someone front of store. She then returned and served customer behind me!!! I was flabbergasted. Then a guy came to serve me and blonde girl said to him oh serve this other customer first. I was fuming. When the guy said is everything ok I explained that I must be invisible as I had been waiting patiently to be served then ignored by his salesgirl who flounced off to serve someone else. Guy apologised for her and said they were really busy but this wasn’t true as there was only a couple of customers in store . There is no excuse for such rudeness and I wondered if it was because I was an older lady. Customer service here needs a huge improvement

MAC Strobe Bronze

I went to MAC at Braehead, Glasgow. Ujala looked after me finding the best products for my holiday. Provided me with a small sample of Strobe Bronze - fantastic product. Felt a million dollars on holiday. Thank you Ujala and MAC

Fantastic Customer Service From MAC

Visited MAC counter in John Lewis Cribbs Causeway today and was looked after by a lovely lady called Ella.
Her customer service was amazing.. Ella helped me find the perfect red lipstick that complimented my blonde hair and skin tone.
I found her very knowledgeable about the products you sell... wouldn't hesitate to buy from MAC again.
Definitely a excellent member of your team MAC ! 5 Stars !

David at MAC store Glasgow…

I visited the MAC store on Buchanan Street, Glasgow. David assisted me in choosing some fantastic new foundation, blusher and powder, which looks fantastic. He was so helpful and made me feel more confident in my self and what sort of makeup suits my skin. A fantastic experience.

We visited John Lewis at Cribbs Causeway, Bristol, Avon

We visited John Lewis and the Mac Counter on the 4th June 2025 and was greeted by Mariella. Mariella was very helpful and as we were a group of 3 Lewis and Viki came to help. I would just like to say we had a fab experience and Mariella, Viki and Lewis went out of their way to help and were really friendly :) We purchased our products and had a lovely time doing so.
