Shipping lies
I bought an item on Monday (5/4/26) that the website said if I ordered within the next 24 hours I would receive it by Mothers Day (5/10/26). I was keeping an eye out for the processing to be finalized and the tracking code to be sent. (I even paid extra for expedited shipping even though shipping was free)
Wednesday morning I see that it still wasn’t processed so I reached out on the text agent through the app. After getting to talk with a person and explaining my hesitations they said the item is actually on its way and will be delivered the next day (Thursday). I was excited but still reserved because it still showed it wasn’t processed online, but the person said it’s coming tomorrow according to their info. Well, Thursday morning I received an email from Macys at 1:03 am (mst) saying my order has been processed and shipping is delayed to now Tuesday (5/12/26). 🤦♂️
I call the customer service and the lady tells me, yes in fact, I did order it within the window to be shipped to me by Mothers Day and that if it’s not with me by Mothers Day they will refund the expedited shipping… ok, thank you… but what the heck…?? Don’t advertise you can get an item to someone in time if you can’t. Good thing I had a backup plan for the wifey on Mothers Day. So… way to make a sale, Macys, but you definitely lost a loyal customer. I have bought many items and I never worried about shipping times before. When I needed you to come through on your word… you didn’t.

I can't express how much I hate calling their customer service line. They talk in circles and do not provide accurate information the first time around. You have to ask the same question at least twice in order to get the TRUTH.

Macy's, a 'yesterday' company
Macy's is fast becoming a 'yesterday' experience. I ordered a sale item on April 27th and it was supposed to be delivered on May 8th. It got stopped somewhere, but they never updated the status. The first guy at Customer Service was limited on what he could do and wanted to expedite it at our cost or cancel the order and he did cancel it without permission. The supervisor was more helpful and expedited it at their cost and it should be here in two days. But why didn't it get here on the scheduled date, and why wasn't it able to be tracked? This is not the first time this has happened.

Please, Macy’s, protect your history, your prestige, and the trust of your customers. Remove or strictly control third-party sellers who do not meet the quality that customers expect from Macy’s. Do not allow your platform to become filled with fake, generic, or low-quality products. Keep Macy’s legacy alive.

I placed in order over the phone with Macy’s customer service the lady took my order was very nice and helpful after placing my order she assured me everything was fine and my Mother’s Day order for my daughter would arrive Friday May the 8th only for me to discover on the 8th that my purchase wasn’t available. It’s poor customer service on Macy’s part because they should’ve informed me that it was available early in the week. I am honestly very shocked to be writing this review… But I recently made an order for some expensive perfume and it got delivered to an old address that somehow was processed on my account. I called Macy’s and the representative immediately told me that I would be getting a refund and they were going to notify the carrier to go get the perfume that the new resident is apparently holding hostage. I am incredibly impressed with how easy this was, and I’m so happy because I was very sad when I realized what happened… Hooray Macy’s!

Ordered online. I have a LOCKED gate, about 4 feet tall, with a 4 inch gap at the bottom with railings spaced about 4 or 5 inches apart. Top of gate is about 2 inches across. I have never had problems with deliveries from Costco, Bloomingdale's, or any other company tossing package easily onto front step. I was home for Macy's delivery. VEHO Tech takes a picture of package perched atop of the gate; and house number in background. 2 days later, I receive an email that package was delivered. I call customer service. 1st time they said complaint would be reviewed and either resilient or refund. 2 days later, I am DENIED, citing "order history ", whatever that means. I resubmit, and made at least 5 or 6 calls back to customer service just making sure I'm getting reshipment. I challenge, for a 2nd time, the email again denying me refund or reshipment. Told them I'm disputing it with credit card company. Saturday I get the bill, I again find some other number. This time, as in all the other times, I am told I'm not the only one who has this problem with deliveries. But this time, I did get a refund/credit. Abhorrent. Target reshipped no questions asked for far less $$ spent.

Products are fine, but customer service is a disgrace, It was impossible to find the status of something I purchased at the store and was told would be delivered in 1-3 days. One week, and after two visits back to the store, I found out that the order had still not been processed. The only way you can speak to anyone who can help is to go to the store again and wait.

My order was delivered to the wrong apartment. I did not know that Macy's utilizes third party delivery services? I thought it was either UPS or FedEx. The website blocked me from buying anything. I cannot place any orders through any payment methods. I contacted customer support and they said they cannot tell me why. This has gone on for about a year now. Every time I contact them they tell me they cannot tell me the reason. They are treating me like a criminal. I have excellent credit. Meanwhile there could be someone/something out there trying to steal my identidy but they won't disclose the reason for failed transactions through the site. I have since taken my business elsewhere and will not shop in their store or online with them anymore.

This is a rant less about Macy's the store - which I still love and against their damn credit card service - which is HORRIBLE. They are sneaky and charge late fees and have been steadily shortening the window of days to pay it - so I called Macy's customer service to close my account last February - I received an email confirmation from Macy's on Friday, February 20, 2026 at 11:26:15 AM PST that my credit card was closed -and it's April and am STILL getting credit card statements from Macy's!!! WHY AM I STILL GETTING STATEMENTS WITH BALANCES?!
AND to add insult to injury they charged me a $24.00 fee!!!

I ordered 6 days ago. My order was expected today. I was told that the business was closed, I picked my home address for delivery and somehow they changed it to my work address of 6 years ago, I am now retired. USPS stated this so I called Macy's. First associate stated this was common, no problem and he checked and I would get my order the next day. I kept digging and called again to be told no, that was wrong, my order was going to be returned. Now I could not longer get the free gift promo I wanted plus they would charge me again and I might get my refund in 10 days. It was their fault!! So I canceled and ordered through another store. Macy's has fallen
One box's tracking has been telling me for 5 days that it's here and waiting to be transferred to USPS and now the tracking says it's in another city, and the final box of items has arrived but with half of the items that are supposed to be in the box. Customer service put in another order for the missing items, which now start from scratch on shipping. Lol. Macy's has fallen. I want to support this company, but in all honesty, this was so bad that I likely won't order again...certainly no time soon.

Went to Macys at the MOG to get a prom dress! We were struggling a bit to find a dress because of all of the options and this wonderful woman named Kayla (I think that’s how you spell it?) helps us! We told her our preferences (color, style, size) and she went out of her way to assist us and make sure I found a dress I was in love with! Five stars!!!!
