Lovely peaceful stay with a few suggestions for improvement

We stayed at Pod 5 for 7 nights as a family with children and a dog. Overall we had a lovely stay and really enjoyed the peaceful location, beautiful surroundings and cosy atmosphere. The pod looked modern and welcoming on arrival, and the welcome snacks, towels, tea station and Bluetooth music system were a lovely touch.

The location is convenient, close to Lidl and local amenities, while still feeling quiet and relaxing. The resort is also dog friendly which we appreciated.

The jacuzzi/hot tub was lovely, private, and well maintained. The checks appeared to be carried out properly during our stay and we really enjoyed using it
• Wi-Fi was weak and unreliable unless upgraded
• Only one toilet roll and two bin bags were provided for a 7-night stay
• More mirrors would help families getting ready at the same time
• The pull-out bed the children slept on was uncomfortable and could benefit from updating
• The main bed also did not feel very comfortable, as it seemed to have a topper/sponge over a smaller mattress
• Cleaning behind and underneath beds could be improved
• A dish drying rack/tray would be very useful. There is a draining area, but the tray part where the water drips into is missing
• More serving bowls/plates would be great for family stays. There were utensils provided, but a few extra serving dishes would be helpful
• During warmer evenings there appeared to be quite a lot of insects around hidden areas. We brought our own bug alert/deterrent device which helped. It would also be great to have fly net windows/doors for hot weather, or air conditioning/a free-standing fan to help keep the pod cooler and more comfortable
• The coloured kitchen lighting was not really necessary for us.

Despite these small issues, we still had a lovely family stay and appreciated the peaceful environment and beautiful Mid Wales scenery.

Well thought out and spacious accomodation , ideal location for exploring mid Wales.

Well equipped , modern yet homely feel ,well decorated and maintained. Very clean throughout.

The lights,heating and TV were on ready for our arrival, and the welcome pack was a really lovely touch.

Only down side is you are totally overlooked on all sides and there is no privacy so we couldn't use the hot tub as this is situated at the front , next to the road and has sparce privacy screening.

The heating thermostat is in the living room / kitchen so this makes temp control difficult to regulate in the rest of the lodge.

Otherwise this is an ideal little lodge.

WiFi is free but slow - you can to upgrade, which was fairly straight forward but you do need to make an account to access the faster speeds, it does make streaming more reliable though and is only £7 for 2 nights or £10 for 3.

Easy reach of shops , petrol station etc and plenty of places to eat out locally in Newtown.

Ideal for couples and dog friendly too, with a dog walking field near the farm entrance.

Lodges are spacious with decent furnishings and make an ideal base camp, we would definately book again
