I have major issues with this company
I have major issues with this company. The first time, I paid for my subscription, but two months later, they blocked it, claiming I was using a virus-related service. I have never had that kind of software on my computer. Later, I paid for the subscription again, and three months later, they shut down my account for the same reason. The image quality is often poor, and they require you to upgrade your plan if you want to switch images to PNG format. It really bothers me to see how bad this program is; I do not recommend it.

Premium Subscription Keeps Getting…
Premium Subscription Keeps Getting Worse
I have been a paying customer of Freepik for over 1 year, and I can honestly say this platform has become one of the most frustrating subscriptions I’ve ever paid for.
Ever since the transition toward Magnific and all these recent updates, the service has continuously gotten worse.
As a premium subscriber, I have noticed:
• Generation waiting times have increased significantly.
• Concurrent generations have been reduced, meaning I can do less work than before.
• More restrictions keep getting added while subscription prices remain premium.
• Workflow has become slower and far less efficient despite paying for access.
What I find unacceptable is that paying customers are receiving less value over time instead of more.
Normally companies improve their service for loyal subscribers. Here it feels like the opposite — features are quietly reduced, limits are tightened, performance is worse, and customers are expected to keep paying without questioning it.
It honestly feels like the company is deliberately cutting functionality to reduce its own costs while continuing to charge customers full premium prices.
So what exactly are we paying for now?
This no longer feels like a premium service.
It feels like a company squeezing money out of existing subscribers while slowly degrading the product.
I subscribed expecting improvement over time.
Instead, every update makes the platform worse.
Extremely disappointing, and unless this changes, I will not continue supporting a company that treats loyal paying customers this way.

They advertise for Premium+ some models…
They advertise for Premium+ some models that are unlimited for both, video and images. At the start of your cycle, you have some fast gens, which are enough for maximul 100 images/videos. After that, the platform is unusable at all. If you queue for example 9 images using Nano Banana 2, it takes about 30 minutes to have them generated. Moreover, they change the rules all time. Lately, you can have only two concurrent video gens, which takes about 10 minutes. It was ok before, but lately, it is an absolute disaster. It is a theft, you pay for something that you can only use for 2-3 days. Avoid please, they sell something on the surface, but the inside is rubbish.

They hide their Premium+ unlimited features
They hide their Premium+ unlimited features and don't warn you that you can continue to make images without having to upgrade. There is no way to know there is an "unlimited switch" to activate this, so you assume the feature doesn't work. This is on purpose. I wish companies were more honest.

Improving
Ever since Freepik was taken over the ai tools no longer work. I have been trying for days to generate and edit images and they all just time out.
*update - everything is now back working!

Another company jumping the AI bandwagon
Another company jumping the AI bandwagon actively eroding the field it was supposed to support. I was introduced to how bad this company is when I tried to apply as a contributor, now I'm glad I didn't from what I've been reading about deleted portfolios and such. Magnific is the #number42 slop site that killed everything Freepik was about. I used the site regularly because it had solid free content and for some niche stuff it was the only place. Now I can generate films, even the promotional material looks abysmal on the landing page. What were you even thinking? From stock content for designers to completely ditching your target audience. We have 100 other alternatives to AI generate slop.

This is for anyone who’s ever…
This is for anyone who’s ever considered becoming a contributor—don’t. To be fair, they probably don’t need you anymore with their push for AI. Honestly, this could be one of the worst companies out there. It was already bad getting paid mere cents while they raked in over 200 million dollars. The switch from Freepic to Magnific, I think, was partly to bury bad reviews. I could go on about their shady practices, but what they’ve done to contributors feels criminal. Avoid all stock sites like these.

They refuse to pay my contributor earnings
I was a contributor since it was "Freepik". Overnight they deleted my whole portfolio while I still had earnings accumulated. Now they say the can't pay me because I haven't reached the minimum threshold. But how can I reach the minimum if they have deleted my portfolio? This is abusive.
Edit: Thank you for your reply. I've contacted support multiple times about this already and the reply is always that I can't be paid because of the minimum threshold. How am I supposed to reach it if Freepik has unilaterally deleted my sole means of earning on the platform? Ticket numbers: 01600479, 01648082.

Yearly Subscription - Terrible customer support and wasted credits.
I am highly disappointed with Magnific AI. During my last session, it took 22 failed attempts just to try and create a single clean video clip. I even used crystal-clear video prompts written by an external AI to make sure the instructions were flawless, yet the tool repeatedly failed to deliver.Worse than the technical glitches is the abysmal customer service. I have contacted their support team via email 3 separate times requesting a resolution or to have my wasted credits refunded. I have received absolutely no resolution. Burning through paid credits on broken generations without any support is unacceptable. Avoid this service until they fix their policy and support pipeline.

Freepik / Magnific basically…
Freepik / Magnific basically bait-and-switched Premium+ users
What I paid for in 2025:
1.6M credits/year
Unlimited access to top AI models
€126 Year 1 / €252 Year 2
What I got in 2026:
credits cut almost 3 times to 600K
best models removed from Unlimited
price increased to €306
So the service became MORE expensive while giving users LESS
Their explanation is wild:
“These models became very popular, so we’re adjusting conditions.”
My translation:
“Too many paying users actually used the features they paid for.”
That’s not a user problem. That’s an infrastructure problem.
And meanwhile:
• generations are slow
• UI changes every month
• images sometimes don’t even appear without refreshing the page multiple times
Already seeing similar complaints from other Premium+ users. Curious how many people got hit with the same downgrade.

Unacceptable handling of DPA requests
Magnific states in its Privacy Policy that they provide a DPA if you contact them by email. Unfortunately, after three weeks of trying to get this resolved, I still have not received any meaningful answer.
Magnific states in its Privacy Policy, under “4. Privacy Policy for AI Suite Services”:
“Users of Individual, Business, and Teams plans who require the formalization of a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) may request it by sending a communication to [E-Mail], indicating their account identification details and the service contracted.”
Source: Magnific Privacy Policy, accessed June 4, 2026.
I have reached out multiple times via support, posted public comments on Twitter/X, and tried contacting them through chat. They did respond to some support requests, but the actual DPA request remains unanswered. This is not a minor issue for a professional tool. For businesses working with client data, a DPA is essential.
Because of this lack of response, we are losing several thousand euros in client projects. The product itself may be useful, but the complete absence of reliable support on such a critical compliance topic is unacceptable.
For any company that needs proper documentation, data protection standards, and dependable support, I cannot recommend Magnific at this point.

This is a complete scam.
This is a complete scam.
I bought the premium + 1-year package because of the advertisement for unlimited creation, and well, they deliberately dragged out the time for the models advertised as having unlimited creation. I even spent 2 days just to create one 5-second source code. Even creating it using points still took 2-3 hours. What a disgusting thing!

incorrect payments
Since Freepik changed to Magnific, we were charged 3 times (!!) for the subscription Magnific Business Yearly, while we were already on the paid subscription called Freepik Premium Yearly. This payment was done automatically from our MasterCard, so we couldn't cancel this. Meanwhile, now our account says that we have a free subscription, makes no sense at all as we paid too much already. I've contacted support many times, but still haven't heard back from them. Hope they will answer this ASAP. This is unacceptable!

Stole my money and cancelled my account
Stole my money, refuse to provide a refund, and suspended my account. So now I lose a whole year subscription and they just closed my account. Please stay away from them, I have to now deal with the courts and escalate this. They stopped responding months ago. Highly, highly unethical company.

Total scam
Total scam. Do you feel like the quality has degraded or that the models don't do what the prompt says? It's not the models and it's not a coincidence. They use middleware to rewrite and sabotage your prompts in very nefarious ways. For example if you write a prompt "from behind a wall" it rewrites it to "in front of the wall" also left right and many other. They do this intentionally in order to force you to generate more and spend more money with them. You can't see it in the frontend, my team had to intercept the calls in order to find out. They manufacture bugs that cost you money too. This is a giant theft scheme. Hopefully the EU will soon get involved and crack down on these thieves.

Run... as one man business they just tell you they don't want you. API access removed, no support answer... crazy. AVOID at all costs, very sad since i hoped for an EU business not doing such things.
