To reaffirm: if you charge online, you pay a conversion sum so it's cheaper to meet up and pay in cash.
Afterwards, I got the leftover budget with just some minor loss charged to my Paypal account.
Easy meeting with friendly staff, the online app makes it easy to keep track of your expenses.

I would recommend mah card. I suggest most simple procedure to top up
I met the mah card person in Tehran and he delivered the card to me. Giving him cash I had my mah card recharged.
During my trip in Iran, to recharge it using my visa credit card,I had to ask the card staff a link to a web site. This link with the chosen amount must be required each time. It means you are not completely autonomous to top up the amount of money and the time you prefer.
I used all my credit, so I didn't have the experience of obtaining the left credit back
Anyway I would recommend mah card

Perfect!
I travelled for two weeks in Iran and MahCard made everything easier! I'm from Italy, changing Euros to Rials might be inconvenient (for the exchange rate and obv for the amount of banknotes they'll give you). The staff was great and they also helped me when I needed help.
I strongly suggest MahCard!

Very helpful anywhere in Iran
Very helpful anywhere in Iran, easy to order, perfect timing in delivery. And apparently easy to recharge (though I never had the need to recharge it)
It's also possible to check the account any time online.
Only drawback an exchange rate a bit lower than the exchange office, which is not really justified considered that there's also a fee to pay in advance for the service.
However, it is highly recommended.

The limitation of 2.000.000 IRR daily…
The limitation of 2.000.000 IRR daily withdrawal at the ATM was an inconvenient, specially to pay to the drivers that took us from one city to the others as they do not have card reader for card payment
Mahcard app sometimes took many time to update the card balance.

Convenient but problem logging in
Mah Card was very convenient way to travel in Iran since currency notes are so big to carry. The problem was accessing online account. Mostly couldn’t log in it kept giving message that my account is being verified. I was in Iran for six days and it gave the same message. That means mostly I couldn’t check my balance. It was frustrating. Beside this issue it was very useful.

Mahcard was a great help in my iranian experience. I do recommend it.
All the process online was easy and reliable.
When we arrive to the hostel there was the mahcard employe to deliver and charge the card. He gave us usefull advices about using the card. So we didn't have to worry about walking around with lots of money.
At the end of the tryp we had some money left and the refund was very easy.
