Absolutely appalling experience from…
Absolutely appalling experience from beginning to end I will never buy anything from Mail plants again. I am disgusted that I have rung 4 times spoken to 4 different people and had to repeat everything when it was quite obvious they knew what my complaint was about.

trying to buy gonkert cushion-red product code 161338 but having no luck in finding it just keep getting every other product except the one i want.
Plant order total disaster.
Plant order placed 20/7. No email to update process of order. Rose received damaged and FREE lavender plants dead. Part of order still o/s today 30/8.Phoned again today told plants discontinued! Very poor service from start and plants not of good quality.I will not use again.

I bought a riser recliner that came yesterday . load of rubbish. I am 5'5. and my feet hang of the end made for very small peple. you cab only recline so no reading or watching tv with your feet up. as soon as you put footrest up the back goes down !! really not fit for purpose. I am probanly stuck with it now as I have exhausted my cash flow and cant afford to send back. I had my last chair years and it was collapsing so was desperate for new chair. so so dissapointed.
Rip off and crap service! Avoid
First time using, the “free” plants suddenly add P & P to order. Delivery date is impossible to find out, just automated emails, which are annoying and unhelpful. Seems like they will ruin my 91year old mothers birthday! I will never use again, amazed Daily Mail happy to associate themselves with this shambles!
you can't cancel or amend an order
I haven't yet received my fruit trees yet, but wish I had read the reviews. There was an offer on 2 for 1. I entered 2 wanting only 2 fruit trees , this converted to 2 offers and so ending up with 4 fruit trees and paying £19.99 more than I intended. I think the website is misleading. I immediately rang up. The answerservice said press 1 for orders, press 2 for customer sevice. I pressed 2, the girl I spoke to said it wasn't customer srvice and so I rang again and pressed2 as it said....it was the same girl and she said she couldn't transfer me to customer services. I rang again and pressed 1.... the same girl. I said their messaging service was wrong She did say she would try to help but couldn't trace the order. I hadn't received an email and so didn't have an order number. When I tried later I spoke to Tina and an order number came through, but she couldn't help and would ring me back (which didn't happen)
It seems nobody can help even though it gives advice to ring if you want to cancel an order. The order can't be cancelled or amended.
In my opinion the customer service was vague and evasive and borders on being reported to trading standards.
I don't hold out much hope for the quality when I receive the trees judging by the amount of poor reviews.

Dishonest claim of free P&P when buying…
Dishonest claim of free P&P when buying compost. When I phoned to ask for a refund of the P&P (£6.99) I was told they wouldn't refund it because I had bought other items too. They were seperately invoiced and delivered I countered. Makes no difference they said and refused to refund even though it says FREE P&P in the advert Nowhere in the brochure does it state that the free P&P will be removed if you purchase anything else. In my opinion this is dishonest marketing.
Bought some Pansies
Bought some Pansies, which according to the advert, came with 12 free violas. Pansies arrived yesterday without the FREE violas. After phone calls and e mails was told that I did not quote the correct code. There was only one code so how could I have quoted the wrong one. AVOID MAIL SHOP.
ABSOLUTELY dreadful
ABSOLUTELY dreadful,
Nothing like how it was described in th Daily Mail.
I would definitely not recommend buying anything through the Mail again.

Ordered some plants including tomatoe plants, tomatoe plants turned up dead weeks after i ordered them when i complained they opologised and said they would replace. A month later no plants so i complained again i got a refund for the plants but still ended up out of pocket and missed the summer for the tomatoes now.

Wow good job I had a £10 voucher of the dead plants you sent.
I normally buy plants in the reduced department but I honestly would have looked at these and left them there.
Can’t believe they were posted only the day before. I had a small credit and I couldn’t understand why, until they arrived.
Fantastic delivery of dead plants complete with slugs
Ordered a selection of plants which were delivered either dead or have since died. After complaining they sent a second lot of plants again dead and complete with slugs. Avoid this company at all costs.
Thieves and non existent customer…
Thieves and non existent customer service.
I’ve only given 1 ⭐️ as I had to give one.
Purchased seeds from Mail Shop. Seeds never arrived and told to follow up with another company, who had gone out of business. My contract was with Mail Shop NOT a third party. I sent about 30-50 email. Mostly ignored.
Rubbish hanging baskets do not buy
I ordered four hanging baskets via the Mailshop.
THEY ARE DISGUSTING
Obviously been packed in cardboard boxes a long time before despatch, they have bolted and are nearly dead.
Mailshop has the cheek to tell me to pot them and tend them and they should be ok, by the time they start to revive if they ever do we will be in to Winter.
This legalised mugging has got to stop they are not cheap.
Asda sell hanging baskets for a fiver and they are far superior to this rubbish in their cheap and nasty plastic pots.
I am referring this to Trading Standards it is not good enough.
Latest news they tell me although there are no white flowers in my 'Sherbert Lemon ' baskets they are still healthy they're NOT WHAT I PAID FOR they are abysmal
Sneered at the Sale of Goods Act
Ordered several semi-tender plants such as cannas last November, all survived the winter and are happy except for the hibiscus. Deciduous so arrived as a bare-leaved pencil. Expected it to bear leaves by late June. (My other one started mid-June) Reported to Mail Shop Plats who pointed out that I my 30 days in which to complain from last November was past . Brushed aside legislation re replacement of faulty goods with a sneer and would do nothing unless I paid £7 again. Now I can see reviews and how poorly others have rated them and understand why. Do I waste time and money going to court for obvious illegal trading terms or write it off to experience and avoid all their departments in future. I'm sure you can guess. Unfortunately that's how they get away with it.
No grow fruit trees
Ordered 2 sets of fruit trees in November ( apple, plum, pear ) for my daughters to grow for my grand children. All planted and tended correctly but after 6 months, all are dead. Have e mailed my complaint for refund or replacement, to date, nothing. Very upset, never again
Picking & packing is abysmal
I wonder who dispatches plants that are obviously dead despite the description well established and ready to plant out. Like others I recieved plants which were no more than twigs in half a pot of compost. They were immediately replaced by some with green shoots so someone took the first lot off a shelf, packed them up and sent them even though there were living (just) specimens available.
DO NOT BUY!
DO NOT BUY. COMPLAINED ABOUT TERRIBLE STATE OF PLANTS AND TOLD NOT TO SEND ANY MORE EMAILS. THEN WAS ACCUSED OF ORDERING TWICE WHEN ASKED WHERE THE MISSING HALF OF THE ORDER WAS. TOTALLY FOBBED OFF DAYLIGHT ROBBERY SCAMMERS!
510688 Hardy standard ceanothus
510688 standard ceanothus from Long Lane Nursery.
Each branch had half the leaves missing & the remaining foliage felt brittle. The plant had not been watered correctly.
I have to pay for its return of £6.99 before I am given a refund for the 'plant' which means I shall be £14 out of pocket.
I shall not be using Mailshop again or Long Lane Nursery Gadney Hill Spalding again.
