Please book Offline

Please book your Hotels offline or with some other travel portal as MMT doesn't own any responsibility or try to understand your problems in case you face any difficulty. I'm a frequent traveller and have always used to book via MMT since 10+ years but in the past 6 months I've found a significant difference in booking amount on Mmt and direct booking. Mmt shows you the same property priced higher and even after applying coupons the property is still more expensive than actual. WORST EXPERIENCE

Flight booking

MMT is good when you book and everything goes well. If you have an issue with your booking, you can keep calling MMT customer service and they'll give you a standard reply - "we understand your concern, please have patience." Some are so good that they even disconnect your call, doesn't matter if you're trying to reach them while roaming.

The airline cancelled my ticket, but they charged me cancellation fees anyway

It's bad enough that the airline canceled my flight because of the ongoing conflict, but MakeMyTrip still deducted almost $20 per ticket for their so-called cancellation/convenience "fees". I shouldn't have had to pay anything, since I'm not the one who cancelled. And then, they have the gall to tell you that you should have bought their cancellation insurance! What a disgusting travel agent.

Make my trip cheated me...not giving full refund even cancelled by indigo.

Indigo cancelled by direct flight and giving me connected flight with layover.

I booked direct and I need direct flight ....so I cancelled it.

Why they are doing this kind of things

When make my trip not able to support in such cases why they are treat as mediator between customer and suppliers.

Please use direct airlines website not make my trip or any travelling website.

Bad service

I booked my ticket from Kannur to Doha. Due to the current war situation, the airline canceled the ticket and informed me that I would receive a full refund. However, MakeMyTrip unnecessarily deducted a significant amount, and the refunded amount was much lower than expected.

After that, I contacted two representatives, Mr. Ashish and Radhika, but both said they could not do anything. They mentioned they were not authorized and did not have proper information.

This is very disappointing, and I feel cheated. This will be the last time I book through this site. I will not use it again, and I will not recommend it to anyone.

Extremely poor experience with…

Extremely poor experience with MakeMyTrip.

Booking ID: AN21*********3143

I paid AED 140 for extra baggage through MakeMyTrip using my credit card, but at the airport, the baggage was not reflected in the airline system. As a result, I was forced to pay AED 590 again using my debit card for the same service.

Your team admitted the mistake and confirmed that a refund would be processed. However, despite multiple follow-ups, I have not received my money, and your team keeps giving false promises like “we will call you back” without any action.

This is completely unacceptable. Due to your system failure, I had to pay twice, and I expect a full resolution not just partial refund.

I demand a full refund of AED 140 + AED 590, as this issue occurred due to your error and misinformation.

If this is not resolved immediately, I will escalate this matter through my bank, consumer protection authorities, and other public platforms.

Resolve this urgently and process my full refund without further delay.

Guys please don’t use MMT

Guys please don’t use MMT for your bookings … this is 1000% worst .. they cancelled my flight and it takes more than a month for a refund. Upon checking with the airlines they told me that MMT is not submitting any refund form to thats why the airlines cannot process the refund because of the stupidity of the MMT. Until now i haven't received my refund . Worst is it’s really hard to connect in the customer service. We better report it to the police.

MakeMyTrip Fails Customers in Emergency Situations

I booked my flight to Thailand through MakeMyTrip (PNR: BYC13M / K83DKI). Due to circumstances completely beyond my control, including the airport closure in Kuwait during an ongoing crisis, I was unable to travel.

When I reached out to MakeMyTrip for support, instead of helping me, I was repeatedly redirected to the airline. However, the airline clearly stated that since my booking was made through a travel agent, MakeMyTrip is responsible for handling any refund or changes.

This back-and-forth has been extremely frustrating, especially during a humanitarian crisis where I had no personal choice or control. Their customer support failed to provide a practical solution or take responsibility, leaving me stranded and helpless.

I strongly advise travelers to be cautious when booking through MakeMyTrip. In situations of crisis, their system does not support passengers, and the lack of accountability is unacceptable

The most worst service provider MakeMyTrip

I am extremely disappointed with the worst service provided by MakeMyTrip.

It has been almost one month, and I still have not received my refund. Despite continuous follow-ups, there has been no proper response or action taken from their side.

I even spent nearly one hour trying to contact customer care. After waiting for around 30 minutes, my call was finally connected. The representative asked for all the details and then put me on hold for “2–3 minutes,” but the wait extended to almost 20 minutes, and eventually, the call got disconnected.

This kind of unprofessional behavior and poor customer support is completely unacceptable. Customers should not have to struggle like this to get their own money back.

I strongly advise others to think twice before booking through MakeMyTrip if you expect timely refunds and reliable support. This has been a very frustrating and stressful experience.

MakemyTrip Strips you off your money!!!!!!!!

booked a Dubai → Lahore flight through MakeMyTrip and their handling has been disgraceful. The airline cancelled the flight due to the regional situation, but MakeMyTrip never informed me — despite my calls and emails. I only found out after calling AirBlue, who said the cancellation was issued a week earlier and I should have been notified.
For the past 5 days I’ve been calling and emailing MakeMyTrip daily asking for a refund with zero response. This is unacceptable negligence and appalling customer service. I want my full refund immediately and a clear explanation for why I was kept in the dark. If this is not resolved promptly I will escalate the complaint to consumer protection authorities and share my experience widely.

Pathetic service in air ticket booking. My flight ticket got cancelled by airline. I have received a cancellation mail offering full refund from the airline side. But makemytrip took a cut of Rs.2300 as their service charge. I was unable to directly contact service centre.

I had a very disappointing experience with MakeMyTrip.

I booked a flight through the app, which was cancelled on March 10 due to the situation here in Dubai. Since then, I have been trying to reach their customer service for assistance and a refund, but I have received absolutely no response.

I attempted to contact them through multiple channels — customer service hotline and WhatsApp — but none of my messages were answered. I even went to their office personally, only to find the doors closed. When we asked the security guards, they told us no one was there, yet we could clearly hear people inside. It felt like they were deliberately avoiding customers.

This level of service is extremely unprofessional and frustrating, especially when customers are simply trying to get updates or refunds for cancelled flights. I would not recommend using this app if you expect reliable customer support during urgent situations.

​I strongly advise travelers to avoid MakeMyTrip (MMT) UAE. My experience during a period of regional travel disruption revealed a company that prioritizes stalling tactics over consumer rights and professional accountability.
​The Major Red Flags:
​Unreliable Management Guarantees: Front-line supervisors provide explicit verbal guarantees for full refunds to induce cancellations, only for the company to backtrack once the booking is voided.
​Deceptive "Automated Errors": When caught underpaying a refund, the standard excuse is an "automated system error." However, even after acknowledging these "errors" in writing, the company continues to withhold significant portions of the total amount.
​"Drip-Feeding" Refunds: Rather than processing a single, transparent transaction, MMT releases funds in small, staged increments. This appears to be a calculated tactic to tire out the customer and pocket "service fees" that were never earned.
​Obstructive Customer Support: Expect to spend hours on hold only to be met with scripted responses. Agents frequently promise callbacks that never happen and provide illogical technical excuses—such as claiming airlines release single-ticket refunds in "stages"—to avoid immediate resolution.
​Lack of Transparency: MMT uses unmonitored email addresses for their "Grievance" departments, making it nearly impossible to maintain a formal paper trail without aggressive escalation.
​Verdict: MakeMyTrip UAE is not a reliable partner in a crisis. Their "support" is designed to protect their commission at the expense of the traveler. Do yourself a favor: book directly with the airline or use a more reputable local agency. I have had to involve the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) just to get a basic level of compliance.​​

Refund

Even though the ticket was cancelled and the airline has said we are eligible for a full refund for 15 days now we have heard the same message. When I try to raise the complaint further then a manager I keep getting cut off and being told you are being unprofessional (which is a lie as I speak very professionally).

Beware of making any purchases on this…

Beware of making any purchases on this app..! They are only okay for purchasing tickets. But if in case of cancellations, refunds, customer support, they are absolutely pathetic. They don’t issue refunds even when airlines have already issued refunds, have hidden cancellation charges, have no support option on the app, and if you ever manage to get in touch with them over phone after waiting for more than 3-hours on hold they will hang-up the phone of they don’t have a solution. Unprotected, unethical and disaster of an entity.

Scam in Hold my fare service

I used Hold my fare service. It was promised that, if the fare decrease then then decreased price will be applied when confirming the flight else the same price. After 2 days when i was about to confirm flight, i checked with airline website and it showed lesser price and makemytrip showed "The airline have increased the price of this flight by ₹2500, but u pay the old price, because of Hold my fare option by makemytrip".
Wow. you would have felt so nice if u hadn't check the price in airline website.
