Bad email practice

I have found the recent marketing "oops" email to be a thoroughly disappointing way to try and attract business. You could have just emailed the discount code plus offering a mystery box instead of trying to trick your customers.

Poor customer service

Order 34212, placed on 14/Aug/2024

I ordered a few makeup brushes from them online and paid for shipping. Three weeks down the line, I have not received them. They claim they sent the item with Royal Mail but have not provided tracking information. After 5 emails, they have finally issued a PARTIAL refund, excluding the shipping cost!!! This is extremely poor practice. I will not be ordering from them ever again and advise others to avoid them.

I never received the order

I never received the order. Got emails to say they were looking into the matter. I am convinced I was scammed. I am writing to inform them I have written a review for trust pilot. I don't think that will worry them.

Truly dreadful experience!

Truly dreadful experience!
Items never arrived. After several emails I was promised replacements. These items also never arrived. After 6 weeks and further emails to customer service I still await a refund.

As a long standing customer I always…

As a long standing customer I always seem to miss the deals because I’m fully stocked! But on this occasion I needed new supplies and wanted to take advantage of the offer on, that’s if you spend over £60 you got a free set of paddy’s makeup brushes. Ordered my stuff, just over £60 and went to add the brushes for them to be out of stock. Oh well I thought at least I’d use the code for free shipping. Following them on Instagram, a day later.. they announce their Black Friday deals which now include 35 % off the the makeup brushes that were a day before all out of stock. Bit suspicious that. Will try and find the products elsewhere online.

Disappointed with customer service

I accidentally ordered the wrong lipstick shade even though I thought i selected a brown shade I received a purple shade. This could be human error or a fault with the website. Anyway I messsged the customer service team as soon as i noticed. I hadn't even opened the product and was hoping I could send the product back for refund or exchange. Customer service was not great the response I got is I can't get a refund or exchange as it is a lipstick. I explained my situation that it was the wrong shade and that I did not even open it but there was no compassion or understanding. I am quite disappointed as it is my first order with makeuppro store and as a goodwill gesture they could have let me exchange the product since it was unopened . Most companies are understanding of human error. Despite trying to plead with Grace the marketing manager I did not reach a satisfactory resolution.
