This marks my debut in writing a restaurant review, prompted by an unexpectedly dreadful dining experience! Last night, I visited Mammamia Pizzeria in Jericho, which was bustling with energy. The atmosphere was fantastic, and the manager was incredibly charming, managing a hectic evening. Unfortunately, the pizzas were among the worst we've encountered. My daughter opted for a gluten-free crust, but when it arrived, the toppings, including onions and egg, were uncooked. She requested it to be reheated to cook the toppings, but we were informed that gluten-free bases don't withstand high temperatures well. When it returned, it was overly hard. My Americano pizza, not gluten-free, was also undercooked in the center with raw toppings. After going back into the oven, it was so hard it couldn't be eaten. It was disappointing, especially after the manager kindly tried to have them reheated. There was a lack of flavor complexity, missing the zing of pepper or Parmesan, and an overwhelming saltiness that did not sit well. The bill, including one starter, a coffee, and a coke, totaled £46! When our waitress inquired, How was the pizza? I candidly replied, Honestly, not the best, to which she responded, Well, you picked a greasy one. I don't think she quite understood!
