Fantastic course. Book on!
Fantastic course.
Gordon delivers this course in a very natural and relaxed way. It's so nice not to feel talked at or just have information thrown at you. Both evenings of the course were engaging and that means it was not only enjoyable, but the information stays with you! That information and the confidence it gives you is invaluable 👍
Would 100% recommended
No Brainer!
I was originally pointed in the direction of MANtenatal by my wife after wanting a course tailored more towards guys that would fit around my work schedule. After meeting at the baby show and having a great chat I knew that this was definitely the course for me and proceeded to book a 1 to 1 personal session.
The course content was great and really gives you an excellent insight in to what to expect from parenthood and pre birth. I really felt like I was sitting down with one of my mates, sharing funny stories and just generally felt at ease throughout. No question was a stupid question and I really cannot wait now to have my little man so I can put everything in to practice.
Massive help to an autistic guy worried about becoming a dad
I signed up to MANtenatal because I was worried about becoming a dad.
I attended the December 2022 group session, and I'm so thankful that I did. The course was extremely helpful and worth (at the very least) twice what Gordon offers it at.
As an autistic dad-to-be with ADHD and other mental health challenges, I was really concerned about how I would manage the transition to parenthood and best support my wife during labour. Gordon really helped shift my mindset over the four hour course. I now feel better equipped and much more so than when I completed the standard antenatal course.
Firstly, the sessions included loads of practical considerations and actionable advice. This is great for any expectant father, but it's particularly helpful / accessible for neurodivergent birth partners. Gordon really got us to think through lots of potential scenarios, e.g. how might it feel leaving mum and baby at hospital and coming home to an empty house, having just experienced the ultimate rush of seeing your baby born. For this scenario and others, Gordon shared lots of actionable and practical tips to help dads manage and be the best dads they can be.
Secondly, Gordon really helped me visualise the birth. He showed us a birthing center, maternity ward and operating theatre and made us imagine who is likely to be there with us, what might be going on, etc. He focussed on aspects you might not think about and certainly weren't covered on the general antenatal course, like what furniture or equipment might be in the room, where dad can rest or have skin to skin with his newborn baby, who might be come in and when. This was an incredibly valuable experience for me that dispelled the TV / film dramatisations of labour that have really persisted in my mind until now. It has really helped make me feel better prepared for labour.
Lastly, I felt really supported throughout the course. The pace moved quickly and covered a lot of detail, but there was always time for some light hearted humour and questions. If you wanted you could eat your dinner or have a beer with the group. In spite of the course being virtual, it really felt quite natural and friendly. I'm now in a WhatsApp group with my group (squad), and I'm loving the banter and support from Gordon and the other dads / dads-to-be.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this course and would be interested in further parenting /postnatal courses should MANtenatal offer them in the future.
This is a Quality course for a Dad to be!
This is a Quality course for a Dad to be. Standard Antenatal classes are good but very geared towards the Mums as they potentially should be. This does however tend to lead to Dad's to be either left out to a degree or generally feeling underprepared or unconfident.
Having taken the MANtenatal class, I can say I feel so much more knowledgeable and prepared for my own journey into parenthood, as well as more comfortable with my role in the (pre/present and post) labour process, including some genuinely Golden hints, tips and tricks.
Would recommend this to every first time Dad out there.
As a final note, the group you do this session with are all in the same boat as you and by jumping into this together, you immediately gain access to a group of Guys all going through the same thing, that you can rely on to have your back in a moment of parenting need.
Best thing out there for dads to be
Well structured program, with ple ty of usefule information for dads to be. As well as personal scenarios that may be useful to know.
After reading books, listening to podcasts and attending NCT classes, which are all structured to focus on mother, MANtenatal became the support and guidance for the fathers to be.
I would 100% recommend to future dads to be.
Dad’s to be book your sessions!
Any dad’s to be out there must book these sessions!
A great tailored programme for fathers to be which explains the key tips and advice as to how to be the best dad!
I came to the sessions with a basic overview of what life as a dad is like and had attended the standard NCT classes which are heavily driven towards the mother however, Gordon’s sessions flipped that! I believe I have the tools and confidence to give it my all and be the best dad I can be! I highly recommend these sessions, fun, precise, interactive and to the point! Kudos to Gordon!
A great Dad-to-be primer
Really helpful info. I’ve been to a couple antenatal classes and there were some really good insights that I hadn’t heard before.
As a dad-to-be, I’m often left feeling uncertain of the best ways to support my wife and play an active part of the pregnancy, birth process, and first few days with our baby. MANtenatal’s focus on the Dad’s role (and needs) provided great perspective and gave me some helpful tips and tools to navigate what’s ahead.
I also like that we get linked up with other folks in the class for ongoing support and sharing our experiences.

If you’re a dad to be, sign up!
Gordon’s MANtenatal course is a fantastic resource for dads to-be - loads of great info to prepare you, and the group courses are great as you get to share your experiences with other expectant dads. Even if you think you’re prepared, there’s bound to be a few new thoughts and questions raised by this course for you and probably your partner too. Can’t recommend it highly enough.
Dad's - Its your pregnancy too!
As a new Dad to be, this is one of the best things you can do. Gordon is awesome, he has literally been there and done it all and has a wealth of knowledge. The Mantenatal group is a totally safe space and there are no stupid questions. It was really eye opening and gave me a perspective on many things I (and my wife) hadn't considered - remember Dad's this is your pregnancy too and you are not just a passanger! If you want to Be The Best Dad You Can Be, then I would say Mantenatal is an essential course for you to do, you will not be disappointed!
I was really impressed by the…
I was really impressed by the MANtenatal course! Gordon was an incredibly down to earth guy who tells you how it is. No judgement at any point and an environment that encourages open sharing of thoughts and experiences. Would recommend it to any soon to be dads out there.
What are you waiting for!?
Would definitely recommend the MANtenatal course! Gordon shares his wealth of knowledge and experience in an informal and welcoming environment, covering everything from your hopes and fears to nappies and bonding! You can ask any questions you like, and have the ongoing support of a WhatsApp group with the other Dads to be, as well as tips on keeping your mental health in check. I certainly feel much more confident and better equipped to deal with the little one when she arrives! I can’t wait to be the best Dad I can be!
Really helpful course with lots packed into it
I would really recommend this course as a first time dad to be. Covered a lot in a short amount if time, into real detail with loads if practical tips and space for questions and some interactive quizzes. Gordon puts a lot of energy and care into it and there is lots of helping sharing and ideas too amongst everyone on the course. Learnt way more than on the online antenatal classes we had. Definitely worth attending if you're new to this and there's a lot I realised I didn't know and could go back and chat to my partner about.
If you’re expecting your first child PLEASE do this course
If you’re a man expecting your first child and you want to be the best dad you can you HAVE to do this course.
I genuinely can’t thank Gordon enough for what he has done for me by creating MANtenatal.
I’m a huge believer in you learn most through experience so when it comes to having a baby that’ll come from you actually looking after your child.
However what this online course does it gives you the little 1% wins/victories/nuggets that will all add up together and make your last days as a couple and first days as a dad 100% better than you not doing this course.
Below are a few that Gordon covers that might seem small but helped massively..
Labour Wards/Rooms are hot so wear comfortable and free clothing - I saw so many people wearing jeans & jumpers and I can only imagine how uncomfortable they were.
You may be coming home alone and not as a 3 to begin with - I initially thought we’d go in as a 2 and leave as a 3 but I actually went home as a 1 and MANtenatal mentally prepared me for this and I was able to discuss this with my partner as well.
The importance of understanding the Birth Plan and ensuring you know it as well as your partner - this is your baby too so treat this as if you’re the one giving birth
This is only a small amount you will learn on the course so again if you’re expecting your first child..
Get this course done because you’ll be a better Father, Husband & Partner for it🙏
Brilliant!!!
Would highly highly recommend MANtenatal to any dad to be. I found it really helpful and it’s definitely prepared me more for becoming a dad. I found the content really easy to follow and it was great having a group of dads going through the same thing there for support. Found it really inspirational! #BeTheBestDad
Failing to plan is….
Such a key gap in the market picked up on by Gordon for dads and birth partners to be. Such useful and well delivered information, leading to a group of people in the same situation in a WhatsApp group supporting and helping one another. This course allowed me to advocate confidently and remain composed amongst the carnage that can be childbirth! Can’t thank Gordon or the fellas in our group enough. Get planning, get prepared and be the best dad you can be!
Game-changer for Dads to be and beyond
A lot can be said about Gordon and his MANtenatal (besides from the clever name) so I’ll list why he warrants 5 stars.
- Gordon himself offers a reassuring, non-judgemental and welcoming persona to the course.
- Scottish accent if you’re into that thing!
- Deep knowledge of everything pregnancy and child birth
- There are WhatsApp groups set up for each monthly course participants for discussion, advice and showing off your newborn potato.
- The course covers the big things to think about but also the little things that can slip your mind that just makes the mothers experience better (and in-turn yours!)
Enough can’t be said about how important this is for a new dad. The price is reasonable and the personal impact can be profound. It’s not a guy who’s had a few kids talking about babies - he knows what he’s talking about!
I signed up to the manntenatal course…
I signed up to the manntenatal course after visiting the stand at the Baby Show at the NEC. After a week prior to the course of sitting through general antennal classes with my wife, I entered the first session slightly reluctant and exhausted from information overload - however I can truly say that the manntenatal class has helped me out tremendously. I found myself going to my wife during the break with suggestions and ideas provided on the course (some we have already implemented!), my wife even resorted to sitting in the room adjacent to take notes! The course was detailed, informative, delivered in a informal and interactive way. Gordon was passionate, knowledgeable and an all round great trainer. You really feel part of a support network after the course was completed. Honestly, I am extremely glad I did the course and I feel I will be a better dad because of it. I’d recommend to any expecting dads, to pull your fingers out, get signed up and get the course done - you’ll feel so much better after.
Highly recommended course for new dads
Gordon is highly knowledgeable, passionate and dedicated to supporting new dads. The course is informative , clear and well paced. I have recommended this course to all my friends who are about to become dads for the first time as it was extremely helpful. It is well worth it for the tips alone!
Unique Course
Gordon has found a niche in the market and backs it up with real genuine passion to help dads-to-be, be the best dad they can be. If youre an expecting father with anxiety or unanswered questions about fatherhood then look no further, not only that the group support much after due dates keep you sane and feel well supported from fellow dads in the exact same position as yourself.
Absolutely amazing advice
Absolutely amazing advice, everything was explained in a friendly but firm manner which really brought home how much dad's can do!!
Thank you so much Gordon my boy now has a dad who was (almost) ready!
