Not what I expected
Ordered on etsy 2 500 g bags of Bowmont Merino fleece.
First 500 g bag was okay, little VM, not much shortcuts, very soft as expected.
Second 500 g bag was not what I expected. Wool from another fleece so I can't make what I planned.
It was very dirty and contained many shortcuts.

I had reviewed on April 10/25 as I had not received my order by the due date of Apr 3/25 after paying additional shipping for a "tracked" package, and I'm editing this review May 8/25 after having processed and spun a wool batt I received. The seller claimed my order had been sent and was due to arrive Apr 3rd. After repeated requests, Ms. Redding eventually supplied a tracking #, that wasn't mine, and was delivered somewhere else. After reading many other reviews, I realized this seller has so many packages go "missing" that the odds of it being real are astronomical. My actual package was shipped via Royal mail on Apr 12th with automatic tracking #... 9 days AFTER it was supposed to be here. I ordered 8 custom designed batts for spinning. I weighed them upon arrival and they weighed between 49g to 59g, and only 2 resembled what I bought. When I unrolled one of the batts to start spinning I found poor quality fibre, long-wool coat hairs & tips mixed in, slubs, short off cuts, and it looked like the carder wasn't cleaned before my batt was done as there was a clump of residual fibre that didn't match anything I ordered. Before leaving reviews for the products on Etsy, I took photos and consulted another spinners group I belong to, and all of the feedback supported my thoughts concerning a poorly manufactured batt, the layers barely blended and using low quality wool ends. I put the remainder of the batt through my own carder to make it easier to pull off hanks for spinning and it went through twice to align the fibres and remove more of the outer guard hair (could be Llama), and lost a total of 5g in fibre that couldn't be spun. I put it out for the birds to take. Her products look gorgeous but many of her customer review photos do not show items received that match the quality or the colours shown on her website. Six of the eight batts I ordered do not resemble what was advertised to the point I had trouble matching them up. A product received that is not as advertised (within reason) is grounds for a complaint to Etsy. When someone complains, like in this review, or the ones I left on her website, the seller claims she was unaware of the problem; but she is the one packaging and sending the items so yes, she is aware. She also advises other buyers to not pay attention to my reviews, and claims she doesn't understand why I am being so "mean" to her, and then compares me to Jeff Bezos and Elon Musk for misinformation!! I'm Canadian, as she is fully aware and I'm not the one whose product qualifies for false advertising. As the seller she has an obligation to supply a product that matches what she advertised and to provide swift and quality customer service; I got lots of stories like her comments below regarding being a small business owner. This seller is unaware that I too am a small business owner and I ensure our customer service is top notch. Bottom line, if you provide a quality product in a timely manner, that IS customer service, and you would rarely need to fix anything. Do yourself a favour and read the other reviews, it's a crap shoot on what you might experience - some people might actually get products that match what she is selling. I did not, and I stand by my comments.

I'm a beginner to spinning
I'm a beginner to spinning and I've found Marie in a group.. . Best find ever , beautiful wool, silks and blends . I've found alsorts for felting and spinning .I recently brought two sheepskin and oh my giddy aunt they are Lush so beautiful and soft and the finish is the best ever . . . I've got another one on the way. I thought I'd be cheeky and ask if Marie sold that sparkly blending stuff you mix with yarn to spin. Oh yes she does and well I'm going to be busy for awhile . Every product I have brought has been100% quality.
I will be buying from Mariereddi garts for a long time.

Lies and victim mentality
She lied constantly about the state of my package. She kept promising me the tracking number, and then, after a week of constant messages to her, she claimed there was a "misunderstanding" and that she didn't have it. I was very polite in my messages, as was she, but my increasing frustration and her ever larger excuses finally grew to much. Over three weeks after I had ordered and paid for the item I told her she had until a given time that day to give me the number or I would escalate the matter. Miraculously, she posted the package mere hours later. However, as a result of the long delay I lost a commission which forced me to open a case with Etsy. They refunded me and covered the costs for her. I think that may be her actual game: wait so long that the customer can open a claim, get paid anyway, and then claim the customer got their package for free at her cost. As an added bonus, she can discredit the negative reviews as dishonest customers and double down on what a victim she is.

Excuse after excuse
Ordered item from Etsy 20th September,not received by 5th October said that post must have been delayed. Did not have any of the item ordered but would send alternative colour. Still nothing by 12th October so I got in touch and apparently seller had Covid and didn’t want to touch anything would post asap. Eventually received 23rd October, and no sign of original package, save yourself the hassle and order elsewhere!

You need the patience of Job ...
Having made 2 orders early in 2022 which arrived successfully, I felt confident to go ahead and place an order later on in the year for quite an expensive piece of equipment which was to be a present from my husband for Christmas.
Nothing happened for several weeks, so I began chasing. I was told that she had been unwell, that her carpenter had chopped off a finger and that she would keep me posted.
Christmas 2022 came and went, and so did Christmas 2023. The chasing had gone on all year, but she only ever contacted me when her cage was rattled; the response always included some health excuse or family crisis. I was told the item would be with me for Christmas 2023 (15 months after I had ordered it) but it has not arrived. I was fobbed off at one stage with a boxful of 'freebies' which were very nice, but I just wanted my order.
However, having given up hope of a refund, in an effort to recoup the money, I did order 2 other items that I wanted, worth a similar amount to my original order. I stated I would not pay for them until the new year (and only after receipt of item 1). To my amazement item 2 arrived within 2 weeks, but still no sign of item 1 or 3. I don't ever expect to see them, but at least now I am not out of pocket.
I'm afraid doing business with this lady is stressful, tiring, frustrating and unpredictable - unless you like playing games.

Not honest
Smooth and quick communication, but only when it suits her. She loves playing the “Me and my family are so pitiful”-card. Don’t fall for it. What a disappointment.
Addition April 2025: 1,5 years later this lady tried to get my review deleted. Since she did not succeed, she now claims that I never bought from her. This shows that this lady is not averse to lying either.

Avoid, unreliable and dishonest
First time I purchased I waited a very long time and had to keep chasing my order - excuses if it going missing, her being unwell and then a bereavement. Sounded like a difficult time so I was patient and eventually my things arrived.
Order was lovely and although the bad experience I felt I could give another chance a while later.
Funny enough my second order apparantly went missing again! She insisted it was delivered to me but wouldnt give tracking number.
Then she even told me specific dates that my parcel would be delivered and I waited in only to find of course she still hadn't even posted!
I had to complain to Etsy eventually and then she uploaded a tracking number with a 'we are expecting your parcel status'. Etsy closed the dispute because it looked like she had posted even though nothing had been delivered.
I then had to make multiple complaints to Etsy before I finally got my order and then there was things missing and to be honest I just couldnt be bothered with it since it had dragged on so long and so I never got my full order.
Dont trust her at all 🙁

Poor service…ordered 3 times and each time the items didn’t turn up until I eventually asked for a refund and said I would put a bad review on her Facebook page. They then arrived, but weeks after initial order.
She gave numerous excuses and wouldn’t refund me. Since then I have noted that many other people had had similar experiences with very late or no show orders. Would definitely not order from her again.
