Overpriced with underwhelming quality

Overpriced with underwhelming quality. I bought a set of keycaps. I usually buy them from Ali, but this time I wanted the "real deal", so I paid a gazillion dollars to get a real set of mt3 profile drop keycaps, and after waiting 3 weeks it got on my doorstep. Box opened, keycaps all over, some of them missing. Quality is ok-ish, but pretty much on par with the ones I get from Ali (and these are 1/3 of the price).
Fortunately I signed up with a relay mail address because they won't stop spamming you either, very annoying.

Drop: Delayed Delivery, Hidden Fees, and Poor Customer Service

The headphones I ordered took 3 weeks to arrive in my country, and when they did I was forced to pay an additional delivery fee to have the headphones delivered to my home, despite the fact that I had already paid Drop to do exactly that!
In addition, unlike other international stores I order from, they did not include customs fees in their sale & delivery price so I had to pay nearly 20% of the value of the headphones in additional fees.
I wrote to Drop and explained the situation and their response was, "Since we did not collect the fees we are unable to reimburse it". They offered no assistance at all, just pointed me to an article on their website which makes excuses for why their delivery is so terrible. Will not be ordering again.

Most efficient customer service

I gave them my order number and my problem, Liz responded faster than any other company, and they solved my issue in one email with no other questions asked. Definitely gonna order more.

10/10 No idea why there are so many negative…

No idea why there are so many negative reviews.
I purchase online often, and Massdrop's customer service is unparalleled! They reply within hours, sometimes minutes, and totally addresses my questions. I had an inquiry about having made a purchase just before that same item went on sale and they instantly refunded me the difference! Only if every company was this honest..

I have no idea who people here talked to but I received emails from Liz and Katlyn and I was very very happy about the customer service.
I never wrote a review here on trustpilot but mass drop was so nice I had to come here.

I live in canada and absolutely don't mind paying extra custom fees if that means dealing with a company that actually respects their customers.

ATTENTION!

ATTENTION!

Beware of warranties on your hearing aids!

- I had problems with 2 Meze 99 Noir.
- They tell me that I have the right to guarantee and that they can give me a replacement.
- They give me a label to return them.
- I returned the headphones for warranty!
- They arrive back on May 15 at the Drop offices. I am not from the United States.
- On May 16, they reply that it can take up to 7 business days to verify the arrival of the return from their warehouse.
- After 7 business days I asked about my case and they tell me that there is still no news from their warehouse.
- So I go asking for my replacement and days and days go by.
- In a month and a half of waiting, insist and insist and already very worried, they answer me that from their warehouse they answer that my return is not there and that they can not do anything else for me !!!
- Without being able to believe it (clearly the return arrived at its destination). I ask for more information and a solution and THEY STOPPED ANSWERING ME.

DROP SCAMED ME WITH 418USD!!!

Scammy policies and anti-consumer

They sent me the wrong product originally and I had practically zero compensation. They couldn't send me the right one since it wasn't in stock (pre-order). I paid way more in just customs for the product than I got back as 'compensation' for the keyboard kit, which then stopped working a month after but they washed their hands off because it's outside their 30-day return/warranty period. I hope they go bankrupt and no one elses has to lose $300 for this crap.
Also their customer service is the worst I've ran into in years.

Unethical membership policies

I signed up last year for the drop club membership and had completely forgotten about it since I didn’t use it.
Today they charged me for the membership and didn’t send any kind of “heads up” email like most companies do to remind you of the upcoming charge.
Within an hour of the charge I emailed asking to cancel the membership and refund the charge. They said once the payment is made it cannot be refunded.
At this time the payment is still pending so I filed a dispute with my bank to stop the payment.
What kind of company has policy standards this low?
I really liked drop, but this has definitely put a sour taste in my mouth.

Massdrop Has Improved

I believe Massdrop (or Drop) used to have bad shipping times.

However, they have improved significantly lately, using decent shipping methods over eco oversea transport (which takes more than 20 days). My latest order took 7-10 days to deliver internationally

Not to mention their customer support, very friendly and supportive, one of the best in my experience.

Made two purchase during black friday…

Made two purchase during black friday promo. That's great right? they even give me a $50 gift card as promised as i spent above $500. YET - just when i made a purchase using my gift card - guess what - they automatically canceled gift card order without notice and voided my gift card. When i contact customer service - they said they automatically cancelled my giftcard order as i placed too many orders and think there is fraud risk. This is funny. Regular order = processed ok. Giftcard order = fraud and void the gift card! These clowns are running the site into the ground. It used to be decent as long as you are patient waiting for their long shipping wait time. now they are just playing games with their members and not even honest honoring promised promos.

Serious defects, AWFUL service

My product was delivered with a serious defect. DROP promised replacements for the whole batch, but took over a year to deliver. Bad communication, no updates.

No quality assurance, horrible support for EU customers

EDIT: After this review, I was offered a full refund for the IEMs, which is ofc much better. I've added a star to the review for this, but problems with quality of products and lacking liability with the seller for this, is still a major issue.

I was shipped a pair of in-ear headphones where the metal housing was literally electrified. Constant electric shock to the inside of my ear when used...
I bought these from Europe and thus had to pay a fair bit in customs and added tax.
Upon contacting MassDrop, I am offered either "20$ Drop Credit" or a return label.. This is for a pair of IEMs that cost 70$ and then another 47$ in customs/tax. Yeah, thanks for the offer, David from MassDrop. It's mighty kind of you to leave me with -17$ and an electrified ear.

Don't shop with MassDrop. Company's gone down the drain with their rise and they're just forwarding cheap chinese products with no quality assurance at this point. It's a shame, started as such a great concept.

Never delivered, awful service

After over a year of waiting for production, Drop failed to deliver the product I ordered. Apparently the package was marked as undeliverable. I contacted customer support and they said they wouldn't attempt to ship it again, even though the package got returned to them. Complete failure to deliver the thing I bought, coupled with abysmal customer service. Don't waste your time or money.

Had a pair of headphones failing. It was a snap with DROP's customer service. David Querubin (Drop Community Support) was incredibly helpful and was quick to respond. Would recommend them for anyone who is an audiophile.

Great buying experience & product

Contrary to other UK customers I had a great experience with drop.
Before you buy any higher end audio stuff from drop you have to understand how they operate. They buy in bulk from the manufacturer who in turn ships to their warehouse for distribution once enough orders have been gained. My product was a pair of drop branded Sennheiser headphones who they work in conjunction with to produce very good headphones at a fraction of the retail price you would pay in the shops if they were available. They are not available in shops so you order through drop who inform you of an approximate dispatch date.
My approximate dispatch date was about three weeks after I'd ordered and paid for the headphones, which was fine as I knew I was getting an absolute bargain. That was extended by a week as they needed more orders receive the goods from the manufacturer to fulfil the dispatch, which again was fine as I knew I was getting an absolute bargain.
The headphones were dispatched a week after the initial approximate dispatch date as promised and I received them today. They took five days from dispatch in the USA to get to me in the UK which I think is pretty good going.
Communication from drop was excellent and kept me informed of what was happening throughout the process and the tracking information was fantastic.
The headphones themselves are brilliant, cost me $170 including shipping and are equivalent to a pair of Sennheiser that would cost £450 -£500 in the UK.
So far I've not had notice to pay import duty (which I was expecting), but even if I do they are still an absolute bargain.
Do a little research before buying from drop and you can't go wrong.

Slow and silent

SLow and silent. Rarely meets shipping date and doesnt offer new firm shipping date. Does, however, charge you when you place your order then waits to ship 30-60 days. I'm pretty sure you cant do that. On top of that, prepare for USPS Smart Post from this premium vendor ;) the cheapest, most hated shipping method for your luxury item.

If you order anything expect to receive it someday

By far the worst shipping times out of any businesses on the internet . It might take a week to ship a item on stock or it might take a month . It doesn't matter what shipping speed you select. Their Customer service is the worse and they are not helpful at all. If you can find the equipment you are looking somewhere else....buy it at any other place.

Its honestly sad how they have a nice selection of audiophile gear and peripherals . But the worst Logistics and Customer service Team .

Every time i contact them is like no-one cares , its honestly a shame . I will be taking my expensive hobby some other place.

Not as good as they used to be

When they were Massdrop I used to check the site every day. But now the selection sucks. The prices were sometimes really good, but not always. Often, there are alternatives that are a better deal. Shipping to Israel is cheap though.

So far, no problems, but.......

Pre-ordered a middle priced watch and it was sent to me on time.
So far, everything looked good. But until today I bought just one item from them. Probably I was lucky that everything went smooth and without any problems.
But after reading the majority of comments, I would not order expensive goods from them.
