Never buy a Mate bike- no spare parts …. One year and still waiting my tires. Has a problem with battery and I have to preorder waiting for at least 6 months. Means in the meantime no possibility to use the bike

Top-class customer experience !
My mate.bike customer experience was by far the best customer experience I have had to date. All the questions raised were clearly laid out and straight forward to follow up on. Small videos attached helped to give precise answers. The overall approach is very professional and straight to the point. All replies very within 24 hours which is another bonus. And finally the result is very satisfactory as the problem has been correctly identified.

Finally everthing perfect
It took a while to get rid of some issues, but finally everything was resolved, I got spare parts and a nice and good working bike. Mate improved their customer service pretty much in the last time. Now I can recommend this company.

I was in copenhagen last weekend and tried out their bikes. The personal in the store was incredible. in comparison with other electric bikes, mate.bike has really thought a step in advance. Their bikes, customer service and shop have guided me to a perfectly adapted bike. I really recommend these bikes.

I owned 2 bikes from MATE
I owned 2 bikes from MATE, I was roped in by their marketing and promises long after they knew about their delays. If this hadn’t been in kickstarter phase, they probably would have been sued. The bikes were cool but all tires burst within days of owning. Battery quality and life span was sub par. Parts missing and additions never came. Over a year and a half later they follow up. I sold the bikes pretty shortly after purchasing. I would not buy anything from this company. Hope they do well but could not honestly recommend their products.

13 Months, and I finally received my replacement batteries
I was initially very excited to receive these bikes. As expected, I had to tighten everything up which wasn’t a big deal. What was a big deal is that the battery discharged on the bike and is completely dead. I don’t know if this had to do with the European wall charger they sent me but it completely died.
I reached out to Mate.bike for a replacement, expecting I would need to buy a new one or it would be covered. They offered to the replace the battery after sharing some test videos. 13 months later, I still can’t ride this bike. They have sent me new battery tracking numbers 3 times over the past year and then nothing happens. I’ve been through 3 separate reps at this point.
Basically, I haven’t had a bike in a year…and can’t afford to replace it with something else yet. Awful, awful support and I will never use Indiegogo again. Huge mistake on my part.

I worked with another rep and after constantly following up, I'm happy to report that I received my batteries as of yesterday. Not sure why it faced so many delays but as a new company it's something they need to seriously work on. 13 months is incredible and I shouldn't have had to stay on it this much. At the end of the day, I have my batteries and I can ride my bikes again.

I love this bike
I use it mostly for leisure bike rides and to run some errands. What i love the most about it is how easy it is to store. I have to store it inside in my apartment and it doesn't take up much space (and it looks good).

Comfortable, stylish, great quality.
In the last 12 months, I have frequently driven Mate X and can only report positive things. The bike rides very comfortably and the battery range is incredible. There are no more cobblestone roads. It's all smooth as on the highway. It's incredibly fun to ride and the bike looks very stylish.
