Ultimate Robotic Pool Cleaner
I bought the cleaner about 6 weeks ago and having now gained some experience of the machine decided to review it. First off, it does a very good cleaning job. My pool has a rounded transition between the base and walls which my previous cleaner did not clean well. The Ultimate does this area very well. Cleaning the debris is very simple with a removable basket which contains robust cartridge type filers plus an inner screen cage for larger debris. The bottom of the basket hinges open and the cage pulls out making it a simple task to hose all parts clean. The only problem that I have encountered is tha phone app which controls the cleaner. When I first tried to operate the cleaner the app hung up at a particular screen. The pool shop couldn't resolve the issue and told me it was escalated to Maytronics HQ (Israel apparently) for resolution. It was resolved in a few days. There now seems to be a new issue with the app in that changing cleaning modes does not seem to work. I hope the issue will be resolved with no prompting from me. My other tiny beef is that when the cleaner is turned on the app says thar 'cleaning will commence after a short self test'. The test is not short and often times this message remains displayed after the machine has started cleaning. Again, I trust that Maytronics will resolve these problems shortly. All in all, a very good machine but let down by the app.
