Had a purchase a touch up pen at my own cost , sadly would not buy another for this reason

Mazda Insurance Scam

Be aware – if you decide to cancel the insurance the cancellation fee is not just £45 as stated in a welcome letter. It is £45.0 cancellation fee + broker fee £27.5 (even if purchased online) + policy amendment fee 25. Therefore, a total cancellation fee is £97.5. You must complete MBA course to come up with it. Never again Mazda (car was also poor quality) and Mazda Insurance. Goodbye forever.

Disappointing Mazda Customer experience

After buying a map update from the only place you could using the Mazda Toolbox, the update failed to install.
I asked a dealer to help but he has advised me to contact Mazda UK. Initially they were very nice asking for screenshots of the errors I get but next day they bluntly refused to help and now I am stuck with a useless £100 purchase that I cannot use.

Very disappointing especially that over the years I kept going to the dealership to do the service which as you now is more expensive, believing that they will appreciate the loyalty but it seems they are not.

Red paint - wing mirrors - don’t buy

Absolutely awful, but I’m talking about Mazda not any of their franchise garages.

Nothing but problems with red pain and door mirrors. All known problems that Mazda accept but won’t do anything about. The warranty isn’t worth anything even though they are all manufacturing faults.

Very disappointed, stay away from Mazda.

Mazda gearbox problem at 35000 miles

In 2016 I traded in my Mazda for my current one. I have a service plan with my local dealership and any work has been completed by them.At the time of the incident my car was 5 years and 7 months old. It had started to make a clicking noise on the front passenger side so I took it to my dealership. After there investigation I now have a bill of £1842 ( which I ve had to borrow from my dad).Mazda refuse to help financially as there policy for a goodwill gesture is 5 years and 100,000 miles or less I have only done 35,000 miles! I am so confused as to what was actually wrong with my car as the parts bill is extensive although, I was told the synchromesh was worn in gears 1&2. Having discussed this with some mechanics my dad knows they are confused also. I am thoroughly disgusted with Mazda, after all my years of driving I have never had any gearbox or clutch problems. I fail to understand how a gearbox can need repairing after so little mileage and will never recommend Mazda or drive one again!
I hope this will warn others.
Regards
Nicki

Faulty alloy wheels

About 14,000 miles from new my CX-5's alloy wheels showed bubbling on their surfaces. This got worse. I complained to the dealer and eventually Mazda authorised replacements. However, cynically, Mazda replaced with wheels from the same defective stock that was originally on my car. Sure enough, a further 14,000 miles or so and the bubbling of the surfaces of all 4 wheels has recurred. I asked Mazda to replace the wheels with ones that would not keep corroding and their Customer Dis-Service Department duly said No. They do not care about customer goodwill for the sake of a few £££. I won't buy Mazda again.

If I could give them no stars

If I could give them no stars, I would.
Absolutely appalling service from Mazda uk.
Penny pinching even when under warranty, garages can not authorise repairs unless agreed by Mazda uk who are in no hurry to sort out problems.
I’m going to update this review as and when they finally decide to repair my Mazda 3 AWD
Manual.
The car is only a 69 plate with 17k miles.
Will never buy another Mazda again.
This has caused so much upset and distress which at the moment is still going on.
Appalling customer service.

Update
Car still off the road, Mazda uk still dragging their heels.
Soon be three weeks off the road and still no solution other than take the gear box apart.
69 plate car, 17,000 miles.
Heaven knows how long this will go on for.

Update.
coming up to 4 weeks off the road, Mazda uk finally agreed the gear box had to come out for the garage to now say they won’t take it out because the engine has moved.
Not accepting this, refused car back until they do what they’ve been told to do by mazda uk.
Appalling doesn't come close, so upset by it all.

Have an approved used warranty on a…

Have an approved used warranty on a car, the car was recovered to Vospers in Exeter using the Mazda Road Side recovery team. They refused to take the car so the car went into storage, but no one was informed and Vospers denied this. 5 days later the car was found and then taken to another non-mazda garage to be repaired. Still waiting for the car to be looked at and repaired after 8 days being recovered.

Hire car - I can have a van but still no hire car available after 8 days either.

Customer services for Mazda Warranties don't have any customer focused support - basically they don't have a drive to deliver a good customer experience.

The T&C in the warranty book clearly say the local Mazda dealer will take the car and carry out the warranty work - this is clearly not true. Miss selling of a warranty agreement

Terrible customer service especially…

Terrible customer service especially the dealer in Cardiff. My MX 5 started having issues with me trying to put it into gear while I was deployed during the pandemic in a district nurse team . As you can image it was vital my car was in good working order. Was still under warranty so took it to Cardiff who said they could not find a fault as it was intermittent. Took it home , kept on happening and had to call AA and have it towed twice. The last time it happened it was a few days out of warranty and they refused to repair as they said it was the clutch which wasn't covered by warranty . Had already been told by local garage and AA that it was the master cylinder and not the clutch but Mazda refused to repair. Ended up having to pay over £400 to have it repaired and guess what...it wasn't the clutch. Awful and extremely uncooperative service at Cardiff at what was a very stressful time. Will never buy another Mazda.

Mazda UK Customer Service

Absolutely disgusted with lack of customer service from Mazda UK. We have a CX3 with 35k miles 3 months out of 3 year warranty. It broke down 25 miles from home. The AA were called and they diagnosed a failed fuel pump. The car was then towed to a local garage as I had a 10 mile tow limit on my AA cover. Luckily that evening I did a bit of investigation on the internet and found the car was subject to a recall notice on the fuel pump. We had no notification from Mazda UK about this and also no warning lights had shown on the car. Next day visited the dealer, Western at Newbridge to ask what to do. I should also say at this point we ordered a new cx30 to replace our cx3 from them only 2 weeks ago. The dealer have said they will fix but need us to get the car to them. Mazda UK were contacted by the dealer and then by myself but have advised no reimbursement would be given on transporting the car to the dealership from where it broke down. This means I will be £150 out of pocket on a fault on a car part subject to a recall notice. How Mazda UK think this is acceptable is unbelievable. As an owner of 5 previous Mazdas and just ordered a new one they obviously don’t care about loyal customers. The currently ordered Mazda will be our last. In three years time we will go elsewhere. Anyone with a 68 plate cx3 (and I believe some other models) should be aware the fuel pump could fail, leave you stranded and you will pick up the bill getting the car to the nearest dealers. I have no issue with the dealership as they have tried everything they can to help. My complaint is with Mazda UK who despite knowing about the problem don’t offer any assistance if your fuel pump fails even though it is subject to a recall notice.

Cx5 soul red paint

Cx5 , bought new noticed first week issue with paint, white specks all over. 3 years later when mazda figured out what to do has respray under warranty. Car came back different colour soul red and 4 panels different shades, even with an approved mazda workshop.
Avoid, my older vw better brakes, steering, power and layout inside . Mazda car opposite to what you think , fuel release next to bonnet release. You have to put auto hold brake on , not automatic??? Not what you think by marketing hype.

Milcars Mazda not to be trusted

At Milscar Mazda I was told of their drive away insurance during conversations with the salesman David Van Geene and asked about this insurance was told not to worry we'll sort it when making arrangements to pick the car up (knowing I was travelling from Wirral to London). Arrived and it was never sorted. Then told this is something I have to sort but never advised of this beforehand and never given the number to do this. David then denies ever telling me about this insurance. I contact their manager Andrew and told him this is wrong. He contradicts himself saying they don't have to tell me but should tell me about services they offer?! Andrew looks into it further and tells me about the initial conversation where I said it sounds interesting (making David a liar because he said it was never discussed) and apparently that means I'm not interested so they don't have to fully inform their customers. My advice would be don't bother go somewhere where they do what they say and can keep their story straight.

CX30 Battery Issues

CX30 Battery Issues

Since owning this car from new (2 months in total), I've repeatably had issues with the battery. A message is displayed with an irritating bonging until the car is started. I've even had the battery changed, software updated and charged it 4 times myself now, but the issue remains. I even purchased a signal blocking key pouch to see if that made any difference.

I'm fobbed off with some 'it's a shutdown procedure' excuse. There's certainly an issue with the car and it's not been addressed.

I very much regret buying this car and can't wait to see the back of it. I would not recommend Mazda in any capacity. I will be looking to formally reject the car.

Mazda Faults That Just Keep On Developing in What Is Only a 2 and a half Year Old Car

Yet ANOTHER couple of faults with my Mazda 2, to go with all of the other major faults that this car has. This time it's to do with the running lights which no longer work and the fact that the intermittent windscreen wiper facility has packed up as well. Great! Just as the winter is setting in and both of these are required during the darker and wetter time of the year. Yet the Mazda 2 I have the misfortune to own is less than 3 years old and has done less than 9k. Does Mazda UK want to know? NO!!! It's always the customer's fault in their view. It has nothing to do with them. Please AVOID buying a Mazda. It's a total waste of money and you end up with a substandard vehicle which has a litany of faults, some rather dangerous, that Mazda UK distances themselves from and blames the customer for. Any positive reviews on this website I would treat with caution. Let the buyer beware. You have been warned!

Quite surprised by all the bad reviews for Mazda ?
We purchased a brand new Mazda 2 from Shrewsbury main dealer just over a year ago and it has been very good so far ? it is the top of the range auto so a lot of kit on it after our last car ! it seems well built, drives well , is nippy and so far has been doing around 50mpg, not cheap but what car is now. !!

Mazda 2

Mazda 2 - folding mirror issues covered by warranty- According main dealer common and recognised problem. Now the actuator for the folding mirrors has failed - Mazda UK refused to fix the problem based on the car warranty being 7 weeks expired -
Extremely disappointed with Mazda UK response they are not interested - I have now raised a issue with the
ombudsman's. Other issues include very thin paint lost of stone chip marks - for a car that has only 20k in 3 years
Ironically I have a 15 year old Mazda 6, second time round the clock ! never missed a beat . It seems Mazda have dropped the ball in building reliable cars in the pursuit of style rather than substance

Mazda 2.2 Diesel CX5

I have a CX5, the wastegate rivet failed and the only repair is a new turbo. This car has 44k on the clock with a full service history and shouldn't be failing like this, needing a 2k repair. This seems to be a common fault with the 2.2 diesel engine and confirms that the part used during manufacture is not fit for purpose. As seen in other reviews, MAZDA UK do not want to know once the vehicle is out of warranty. They dont want to take any responsibility for selling cars built with substandard parts. Ive been a car owner for 25 years and never had a vehicle let me down like this, ever! I have a blue badge and am reliant on my car but unfortunately I have no confidence in MAZDA's products and will never buy from them again. Their attitude to after sales support makes no sense to me, If this review turns at least one potential customer away from buying a Mazda, then it will cost them more than a new turbo in the long run but they are not even prepared to discuss a goodwill gesture with me. Seriously, do your research before buying a Mazda, I wish I had....................
