Tried buying a house & had the worst experience

Tried buying a house and had the worst experience ever. Leasehold listed as freehold. Firstly the didn’t present the offer to buyer u til chased. Paul who was handling the deal was away most of the time. Property was moved to Sold STC & then back on market before the survey report come back. Complete silence for over a month after asking for negotiations. The whole process was stressful and very frustrating. Seller solicitors to hold initial contract pack. I would stay away and look elsewhere.

Shocking company. Terrible experience with them and by looking at other peoples reviews, they’ve experienced the same.

Very bad letting agents dont do repairs and they dont give you back your deposits overpriced rentals they also don't do gas safety certificate mine is out of date by 4 months this is a criminal offense and carry a unlimited fine and/custodial prison sentence, me and my family have just got out of hospitals with carbon monoxide poisoning through and gas leaking boiler we could have DIED they didn't bother asking how we was or even visit us on the day as advised by environment health we now have no heating or hot water, void Medlock estates in failsworth Manchester m35 dated 28/2/22, still no gas boiler no 7/3/22,gas safety are investing and health and safety along with property ombudsman and other relevent authorities, me and my family would say if you are a tenant check your gas safety certificate if you have on and ask a independent gas safe engineer (CADENT) emergency gas safety engineers , I'm a tenant for over 10 years and its been a nightmare, avoid these letting agents because there still haven't learned, they don't care, they just want your money first SAFETY last (AVIOD) check trust pilot, don't be a victim stand up to rogue letting agents

Medlock Estates came to the rescue a…

Medlock Estates came to the rescue a number of times when I was managing my own property, finding a locksmith and a wonderful handyman. They did this all free of charge, always friendly and helpful. I am very pleased to say that they now manage my property. I have found them to be honest, hardworking, great listeners and excellent negotiators. I would thoroughly recommend.

Unreliable company

I booked a valuation for a house sale and received confirmation of a date and time for Monday. However, I received a call early on the morning of the valuation stating that the valuer was ill and therefore the appraisal would have be rescheduled. I did not have an issue with this and re-booked for Thursday lunchtime (1pm). At 10am on Thursday I called the office to check whether the valuer was now back in work and that my appointment was still going ahead. I was assured that it was. I left work at 12.30 in order to arrive at the property for 1pm. When the valuer hadn't arrived by 1.15pm, I decided to call the agents to find out if he had been delayed. Initially I was informed that valuer had set off and should be with me soon but that he would be contacted to check. I then received an apologetic telephone call to say that he had cancelled my appointment and that someone should have let me know. I received a further phone call from Medlock Estates at around 2pm saying that a voicemail had been left on my phone and asking when was I free to schedule another appointment. I definately had no missed calls or received any voicemails. In all, I wasted 1.5 hours unnecessarily and would definately not use them again.
