They stole my money and banned me from the site!
I purchased a silver membership for 3 months. Then discovered that you can't access very much with it. So I upgraded to the platinum membership. They promised to refund the different between the two levels. They charged my credit card for both memberships and then did not issue me any refund. I contacted them 3 times over a period of a month to which they replied "our records show that your refund was processed". So I contacted my credit card company. They confirmed that no refund had ever been issued, and launched a dispute. The next day they banned me from the site for "not following their code". I asked what that meant and they said because I of the dispute from the credit card company. So I've lost my membership and can't access the site to cancel my card either.
Match.com is Full of scammers
Full of scammers. Every third response was by a scammer. Don't waste your money. Absolutely horrible site. They won't publish a phone number because they don't want to give you any recourse.
Scam app
Scam app. Its pushed as mainstream so you think its safe, but the people running it are thieves. Turn back, before you spend year subscription for an app that doesnt even function, let alone match you.
Awful, deceiving and terrible algorithms
Awful. Terrible! Never again.
The matches I’m getting leave a lot to be desired in terms of appeal and despite having a specific radius set I’m getting matches from over 100 miles away even as far afield as Ukraine and Netherlands. REALLY??? How practical is that match.com?!!
Then discovered to my horror when I tried to shut profile down that I’m locked into 6 month contact I did not realise I was locked into at £20 a month!!! I feel deceived and let down and once my subscription ends in November am never going to darken their door again.
On top of that as a gay man why am I getting matches from women? Total amateurs and complete con of a website.
Terrible experience overall.
Not worth the time or money
Connections the site suggests are off, and I haven't met anyone who is close to my preferences. Would not suggest this platform.
Buyer Beware of Match, Our Time, Hinge, POF, etc.
I had previously been on Match several years ago and decided to give it a try. Paid $96 for a subscription and started seeing the same profiles I saw years ago. Apparently Match continues to use profiles without user permission after they leave. I saw a friend's profile from years ago and send Match an email stating the person in the profile was in a committed relationship and did not live here anymore. In response Match cancelled my service claiming I violated some unknown term or agreement but failed to issue a refund. In the week I was on Match I received 5 emails from scammers and the same profiles of people from years ago. Customer service is impossible to reach as the number refers you to the website but Match never responded to my customer inquiries.
Don't go near them unless you don't…
Don't go near them unless you don't mind being caught up in a lengthy contract. I am just trying to cancel my contract after 14 days and the cancellation form will not allow me to type on it, after taking 20 minutes to get to it You think you have signed up for one month but if you don't cancel early they will have locked you into a 6 month contract. this happened to me with another site and the bank would not block the debit card request Told me to deal with the dating site direct ; and they won't so i had to close my a/c. What's more i have 33 love which you have to buy and only had 1 reply. I don't believe all even half the ladies are still on the sites as they show more than a hundred over 65!!!

YOU HAVE TO PAY TO REPLY EVEN TO MATCHES
Match.com provides misleading information on its website. It claims that payment is not required if there is a mutual match. However, this is false. Even in the case of a mutual match, if you don’t pay, you cannot reply to messages — not even from the people you matched with.
I believe this is not just misleading, but deliberately deceptive. The system seems intentionally designed to push users toward paying. In fact, just a few minutes after signing up, I received several messages — already visible — from extremely attractive men. I suspect these profiles may not have been real and were possibly used to encourage me to pay, since I couldn’t reply without a subscription.
Soon after, I was flooded with messages and likes from profiles located far away, making any real match impossible. The app appears to be designed to promote interactions mainly with non-matches so that users are forced to pay in order to respond.
I immediately suspected something was off, so I deliberately tried to get matches with people near me. Even then — after a successful match — I was unable to read their message or view their profile unless I paid. On the other hand, I could view profiles and read messages from people I hadn't matched with, although these profiles often seemed suspicious or fake. Regardless, I still couldn't reply.
I want to warn anyone signing up: you must pay in order to read or respond to messages — even in the case of a mutual match.

Story and conclusion
Story and conclusion.
I paid for a membership (US). When searching after offering up several profiles that met my criteria, I get a screen saying that there are no more, with the suggestion I change my criteria. When I do, I only received a few additional, ditto when I removed all criteria except casting an expanded distance criteria.
A problem came up that it seemed my profile had disappeared so I set up a new one, an unpaid one. Now all of a sudden using the same search criteria I used on my paid account yielded many more in the free account. The paid account was actually there all along I discovered.
The two accounts contiued with the same results. Most interesting is that while features and access were worse, like being able to send only one message per day, I managed to get equally good results. By the way the results of communicating and meeting real women were far better than my other profiles combined on several other sites; Zoosk and Senior match combined for example.
No doubt the reason is 1. on the paid account it's designed to keep you strung out to your renewal date that you keep hupping ever hopeful and 2. The abundance on the free account is to entice you to convert to a paid one. While I haven't tried it, I would make a bet that the other sites use the same strategy.
Both Zoosk and Senior match were horrid, Senior match the worst. Those conclusions were valid, because I used identical profiles on paid Zoosk and Senior match accounts that I used on Match. I have already turned off auto renew, and you should too. I can't wait to find someone so I can delete my profile. However, bad news, sorry to say deleting your profile doesn't actually delete it. I re-upped Zoosk (stupidly) and Match from deleted 4 year old profiles, and up popped those presumably deleted profiles.
Bluntly, using dating sites sucks as we all know, but to add the above emotional manipulative strategies is disgusting.
Save your hard earned money!!!
Just paid £79 for 6months - 40 Mike radius and ages span of 5 years either side of mine….. there are literally 18 people in that area, I know I live in Cornwall but this is a rip off!!! No Refunds no real customer services just more options to pay them even more money..
Taking a lot of money from lonely…
Taking a lot of money from lonely people (yes, I was that person once). It's a passive way to spend a mindless hour for people who don't intend getting off the couch or talking to actual people, not photoshopped pics. Our insecurity is what 'Match' thrives on... It was very hard to cancel my subscription - cancelled my credit card, I'd no other choice. We need to get off our phones and stop wasting our money.
Save your money - stay away.
First, it would not verify my phone # to let me access site. Now, most of my profile has been deleted and it says I don't have a subscription, which I have receipts for.
Just learned, if I use the app, I'm on the site that says I don't have a subscription & half deleted info, but if I access the site via my browser I'm on the site that has my subscription & info but can't verify my ph#. Do I have 2 profiles? This is tech weird.
Customer service is non existent- just robotic runaround. Sorry I ever got involved with them.
8:15am
Received email from Match, stating I've been banned for "inappropriate behavior". What did I allegedly do?
Since I "don't have a subscription" and I've been "banned", should I dispute my credit charges?

75% of profiles are removed as begging fake. You couldn't make it up. Such a scam
Utter and complete rubbish
Utter and complete rubbish. Don't be lulled into thinking that you will ever find someone. Most of the profiles are fake and it is very expensive. Complete and utter waste of money and time.

IAC Incorporated has managed to buy up every dating site on the internet creating a monopoly. Not sure how they're getting away with this but they are. I'm pissed off because one of the CEOs got jealous his girlfriend was flirting with me at a VIP table in Hollywood years ago and now he Banned Me from all dating sites how pathetic. I have since reported this to the Trump Administration along with consumer affairs Department
Not a free dating site
POF owned by Match is not a free dating site. In order for you to message back and forth with a member or nonmember you must pay.
