I had an extremely disappointing experience with Melitta UK and their partner Coffee Classics in the UK.
I've been using Melitta coffee machines for the past 5 years, but once the machine is out of warranty, it becomes a problem. Melitta refuses to offer any assistance or support.
Upon contacting Melitta UK, they directed me to Coffee Classics for out-of-warranty repairs. I sent my machine to Coffee Classics UK with the understanding that it would take 7-10 days for repairs. However, it took a staggering 40 days to get it back, and even then, it was still not functioning. To make matters worse, it stopped working again the very next day. I had to send it back for further repairs. Despite my complaints to Melitta UK about the poor service from Coffee Classics, they showed no concern. In fact, they instructed Coffee Classics not to accept the machine back and to cease repairs. As a result, I am left with a faulty machine and a bill of £250.
Both Josh at Coffee Classics and Belindar at Melitta may appear friendly, but they are utterly unhelpful. It's evident that their primary concern is profit. I strongly advise against dealing with either of them and recommend avoiding purchasing Melitta products altogether.
Here are some downsides of the Melitta coffee machine:
You cannot add an extra shot to your coffee.
You are limited to the machine's preset strength settings, which may not be sufficient if you prefer your coffee strong.
The beans in the hopper do not slide into the grinder automatically, resulting in weak coffee and excessive bean consumption.
Melitta offers no assistance, leaving you to struggle with the beans for every cup of coffee.
The machine is quite noisy.
Warranty cannot be extended, and Melitta refuses to repair machines after the warranty expires. They instead recommend a repair center like Coffee Classics, which proves to be ineffective in fixing the issues.
