Despite my best efforts, I could not get the unit to connect to the outside temperature sensor. Also it would not connect to the MSF radio clock, so I sent it back for a refund.

This gadget is quite useful to use as a thermometer for indoor and outdoor temperatures providing you have somewhere that is not outdoors but shows a temperature as close to outdoors as possible whilst still maintaining WIFI signal.This is because the unit can't get wet.I have a unheated utility room but it never gets to an actual outdoor temperature.

Straight out of the box, the weather station refused to connect to the external temperature sensor. Based on other reviews, this appears to be a common issue with the RED5 weather station. On the plus side, the Menkind returns process was quick and simple to use.

My husband (who is was bought for, and who has dementia) loves it. This weather station is well made, with clear icons that are easy to read. I have given it 4 stars instead of 5 as the day displayed is not true to the current day, and it doesn’t look as if it’s in English. I cannot find a way to change the day even though I have followed the instructions on the sheet that came with it. At least this is a minor fault (though not really a fault) and does not impact on the operation of the actual item.
