Having read some negative reviews I was hesitant to buy but bought one in the sale for a New Years Eve party. It was a hit and was great fun! It does pick various sweets if they're not too heavy, and light toys. You just have to persevere like you do in the arcades! It's a challenge which is a good thing as if it was easy it would be boring!It picked up round roses chocolates, Cadburys Robins, small football toys, fizzers tubes, small rubber finger puppets, small chocolate balls etc. Works best with less things in the machine as it has more room and more chance of getting a good hold, but it did pick up when fuller too. Just keep trying! The music is a bit loud and stressful though as it speeds up before the time runs out so we taped a piece of card over the speaker to muffle it a bit! 😂

Bought this for Xmas for my son. Firstly it's very very loud, you can’t turn the volume down either. I bought a mix bag of sweats (all wrapped individually) emptied in the machine and tried to use the claw. It does not pick anything up!! It needs very very light sweats to see if it will work. I would not recommend this product at all. Very disappointing and unhappy son.

The claw is weak and you will even find it struggles to pick up the chocolates from a celebrations tin, even on a 50% sale£15 is still £5 more than it should have been, the 3 batteries it uses are enormous, D size, very good design but let down by lack of strength in the claw and the fact that it is slow and the time allowed to try and grab something is no more than 30 seconds, on the whole I should never have bought this product it isn’t worth the money at all, now it’s not on sale if I saw another one I would ignore it, they are not worth £30 whatsoever, I bought this as a novelty item so we could have some family fun at Christmas, it got used once and hadn’t been touched since, steer clear of this item.
