Awful customer service

Brought our apartment & moved in 7 weeks ago. Noticed a crack in the bath & MTVH have basically said 'tough s**t'. Not their problem as building is past its default period! How can it be ok to replace a bath at our expense after 7 weeks! I will take this as far as I can until I get a satisfactory response. we should all take them to the radio consumer programmes!

Giving one star is generous

Giving one star is generous. They are absolutely useless as a landlord. They are abusive towards their vulnerable tenants. They refuse to deal with asb cases and leave vulnerable tenants to suffer. They discriminate against people with mental health issues. They have purposely put my health and safety at risk on a number of occasions. They falsely accuse me of things to cover up what they are doing wrong.

Terrible service

Terrible service, expensive service charge.

Frustratingly high service charges (and increasing annually at above inflation levels). Very poor service received - e.g. months to reply to basic email requests (wfh because of Covid is not an excuse after 6 months to sort it out).

I can't understand why leasehold properties aren't properly regulated.

I would give them zero star review!
Such a rubbish company. Never solved any reported issue, only increasing service charge for doing less and less!
Their staff is most likely only trained to pissed you off over the phone or email conversation, no action taken. Completely missing a honest, polite, and human beeing!

Will up your service charge annually…

Will up your service charge annually but perform less and less maintenance. Will charge you for the use of communal equipment what hasn't worked in years. No action will be taken if you call them with issues.

Pollution and Noise

Many of the van drivers in our area will sit outside properties early in the morning with their engines running. There is one outside now who has been sat for 10 minutes since 7.30 this morning pumping pollution in to the air and consequently in to our homes (it is also a traffic offence to sit with your engine idling in this way). I’ve complained to the company, never got a reply and clearly haven’t spoken to their employees.

Spam my phone with daily text messages…

Spam my phone with daily text messages automated calls and voicemails.every day saying rent is in arrears when it is not. Despite confirmation from than that my rent was not in arrears and asking them to stop this daily harassment continued for months. Completely ignore and fob off repairs even when you send them pictures of your tenancy agreement which states what they are responsible for.

I staircased with the company back in…

I staircased with the company back in March. I started the process in early October and the company messed me around from start to finish.

Once I had finally completed, they forgot to set me up an account so although I was living in one of their flats, they had no record of me. Fast forward 2 months, they have made an account for me where they are still billing me for rent (I bought 100%) and also adding random amounts of money on to my bill and are saying I owe them in excess over 1000 pounds.

They change employee's every month so you never get to deal with the same person, everyone in quick to pass you back over to a different department so you end up going round in circles and most of the time, have no idea what is going on.

Some of the staff have been helpful but also not able to fix what the company have done wrong.

The stress, anxiety and upset the company have caused is awful. Considering they are meant to 'help' people and create an 'easier' way to buy they do the complete opposite.

If only one could give Zero stars

If only one could give Zero stars. What an absolute mess of an association this is. Blatantly revenue motivated and blatantly dismissive of real repairs and ASB issues that need sorting within time frames and within own policies. All the PR and propaganda in the world cannot save what is basically a scam organisation posing as an ethical landlord of "ethical" stature. Disgusting treatment and Housing Management. Housing team all seem to be focused on one thing, coping from paycheque to paycheque with as little effort as possible to actually manage issues that the social sector inevitably throws up daily. Comments such as " we prefer to leave tenants to manage their own lifestyles" in regard to horrible covert ASB. Diversions endlessly from taking responsibility. They house some absolute nightmare people with severe ASB issues and expect others to manage it themselves. Everything everyone has written is true. They are scum. I wish to Christ I had never taken this flat.

They service charges in Leicester junior street are .excessive .
£ 160.00 per month ( this are highter then most of housing trust in England .
I called them in Leicester .was told that there housing officer is not available for 1 month on the site
What is happening here .

Wanton Private Property Damage

It seems pointless to add yet another one star review, as they really don't seem to care. I've lived in one of their properties for almost 20 years, but thankfully through a private landlord.

However, they've recently hired a new estate management company for this location who have been absolutely devastating our previously very attractive grounds. They've ignored complaints from residents about this, including myself. However, just today, this company destroyed one of my own trees that was growing in a pot by my back door (not in the communal planters). They literally left me with a pot with a stump in it, without any warning or discussion and without any reason.

It may be a small things, but I've had this tree for 20 years, so I'm really devastated. I called Metropolitan and was told I had to complain in writing. I've done that, but I doubt I'll get a response.

DONT EVEN CONSIDER METROPOLITAN

Bought a house shared ownership in Brampton park. Given 6 days to review the property for snags and that was it. Appalling service considering my windows are broken, floors uneven, paint chipped, walls not sanded, garden shed broken (extra) grass completely flooded, bath broken, shower tray not correct, kitchen cupboards not fitted properly...can I go on?

Awful customer service and £300 compensation offered for to bathrooms to be re tiles as they are so bad. PLEASE DONT EVEN CONSIDER THIS COMPANY!

Worst Landlord I have ever experience in my life as is the case with everybody who I know

I have NOTHING good to say.

They are great if your heroin/crack dealing liar, unlike the rest of us.

But if your a good person, they will shaft upon you all the time.

Fail to communicate.
Fail to do their job.
Piddly-poor service.
Rip-off service charges for things that are never done - like having to pay money for tree maintenance when you have no tree's.
Never QA contractors work and a doormat that is never cleaned attests to this.
Do nothing about ASB, even enable it.
Do not engage with Police and then lie.
Aid and abet criminals and even when they are aware of a crime like benefit fraud - they ignore it - that's aiding and abetting (A CRIME).
Persecute people for mistakes they make and then never apologize.
Ignore complaints.

I could go on but as so many have testified - they are beyond bad and frankly unfit as a housing provider, all they care about is ripping people off and the money.

The BBC or a respectable new paper should investigate this as could make a years worth of panorama special with the systemic failures they perpetuate and is the only constant as any search engine will attest.

I will say that they are great at paying lip service, and doing nothing.

But I have nothing good in the realms of reality to bestow upon them and how they are allowed to carry on is beyond a joke, it is a crime against humanity.

It even worth 1 star

Tbh they don't even deserve one star. They are awful. I've been lied too via the agents when calling and reporting repairs. I've been spoken too in an awful manner by metwork workers. They don't give a damn! But if you're behind on the rent or they think you are, they're quick to call you!!! Why are we paying you weekly rent if you guys don't do your work the way you're supposed too?!?? It's disgusting!

I have never had such bad customer…

I have never had such bad customer service. I didn't have heating for 11 and half months. Then wanted to charge me £500 service charge. I complained and said this is ridiculous for the issues I had, then gave me a CCJ. Such poor communication skills,that now I refuse to speak to bervely my income officer as she is So rude. This has taken months and also the results have been on my mental health! Signed off work and losses of money now all because of metropolitan housing! I could go on but i woild aviod at all costs to. Keep your sanity!!!

Awful experience so far

Awful experience so far. Communication has been abysmal, I have spoken to my housing officer once in seven phone calls made and on that one occasion was greeted with hostility to my query. Service charges are not clear and upped without communicating ahead of time which I thought was illegal. Certain parts of our building are in severe disrepair and TVH has yet to change things in the past 2 years of living them.

One of the worst experiences ever

Since the beginning of my tenancy at Metropolitan, the boiler unit is not functioning, resulting in lack of hot water and heating and creating living conditions that are adverse and unsustainable.
The issue has been reported by myself several times to Metropolitan with a few engineers from Aaron services visiting the apartment in order to identify and repair the boiler unit. Unfortunately, no solution has been given yet (7 MONTHS!!!). There have been 5 engineer visits till today.

I have done hundreds of phone calls to Metropolitan with the last one dating on Wednesday 5th of February 2020. At that final call, the Metropolitan call center wasn't able to contact Aaron Services and therefore, I requested from one of the employees to call me on Thursday 6/2 in order to inform me regarding the status of the repair. Unfortunately, Metropolitan hasn't been in contact with me at that date as agreed.

Still today the problem is not solved and the boiler isn't repaired, causing a lot of stress to myself, unsustainable living conditions and excessive money spent for which I am asking the full reiumbursement from Metropolitan.

Definitely one of the worst tenancies I have ever had, incredibly bad experience with Metropolitan and their customer service!
