As reported earlier, our steam oven had quit and the repair was taking a long time. After reporting our experience, Miele did contact us. They provided a current model replacement and the installation service was excellent - on time and very professional. We have come to understand that our initial request for service was incorrectly assigned and that was likely the root cause of much of the dissatisfaction we experienced. The new unit is a step up from the previous model and we are quite happy with its performance.

I wouldn’t even give 1 star if I could - the worst company and customer service ever! Bought an expensive Duoflex vacuum cleaner and guess what? It stopped working after few usages. A normal company would send tou straight away a replacement or a full refund. Not Miele though. I have been raising complaints and claims and all of that for 3 weeks and I am still waiting for my money back. They will hurry to repair your appliance - but who wants a repaired appliance after you paid a premium price for a brand new device that stopped working after using for maximum 5 times. It’s absolutely insane. Don’t go near this company and don’t buy from them - they will make it hard to get any resolution. I have raised a complaint and nobody contacted me. And Customer Support told me “there is nothing they can do” as I have been advised to return the appliance but nobody is giving me details on how to return it so have to wait another few weeks for someone to call me to return it. Just an absolute joke…

I have never encountered a company, Miele, with such horrendous customer service and a culture of treating clients so poorly. We have already had 2 technician appointments scrubbed for unknown reasons while our expensive Miele dryer — which is under warranty - sits there producing little to no heat. We are now waiting for another scheduled tech appointment - the tech is already way more than two hours late - and the Miele phone rep has no idea when or if the tech will show up. Never again with this dreadful company that shows zero respect for its customers - and, in this case, does not seem to be taking our warranty seriously at all.
Miele deserves ZERO stars and, in my view, an investigation by the New York State Attorney General’s Office - which I plan to contact myself.👎
UPDATE: Now the tech is not coming at all, believe it or not. A morning wasted because of Miele.
We are supposedly going to receive a new dryer at a date yet to be determined.

W1 washing machine.
I have bought Miele products for over 20 years.
Dishwashers x 4 in each new home
Vacuum - x 4
Stick vacuum for gift
Dryer x 2 (gave one to my young daughter from 2011 amazing & bought new in Dec2021 to treat myself in new home )
Washing machine x 2
gave one to my young daughter from 2011 amazing & bought new in Dec2021 to treat myself in new home - big mistake) so disappointed, I've had 2 x service calls in 4 years, overseas service staff on the phone not very helpful, but polite.
After error message today during wash cycle. Service call will cost $150 + $40 per 15mins + parts coming in 2 weeks. My love affair with Miele is done. Bought a fisher & Pykel for 1/3 price, coming tomorrow. And Miele will be taken away. Really poor product and support. Cannot recommend you waste your hard earned wages on Miele, the 2011 model is still going strong! They not immer besser anymore

Miele Bluewater dreadful customer service. Walked into an empty store with 3 staff members sitting together chatting casually. Told staff I wanted prices for hoovers, it seemed to go over their head totally. I felt as though I’d gatecrashed a party! Stood by the hoovers waiting for someone to come whilst staff carried on chatting huddled round a counter sat on stools. I walked out and shouted out clearly nobody wants to help customers looking to buy a hoover. They looked at me as though I had 3 heads. How very dare I walk in store and suggest I’d like to know the price of hoovers as I wish to buy one. The very thought of it! Shock, horror.

I've had the worst customer experience I have ever received. I bought a Miele Cordless Vacuum cleaner in March 2025. In April 2025, it stopped charging and stopped working and was sent for repairs, it was returned with what I thought was a new battery. After a couple of weeks it stopped working and stopped charging. I sent it back to Miele on the 4th October. It's been 2 weeks and I have had no update on the status of the vaccuum cleaner. No one responded to my emails requesting an update. On the 20th October after a phone call, I received an email that E&S will be in touch .It's now the 22nd October and I called to try to get an update and was told that they had followed up with the service department on the 20th October and they didn't get a response back from them so I have to wait. He told me there was nothing they could do because that department do not respond to text messages. I'm left hoping that one day my vacuum cleaner will turn up. It's absolutely shocking service.

Miele dryer beeps and won’t dry he clothes. The filters are squeaky clean yet thr “066” error drives everyone in the house bonkers. Essentially we can’t use the very expensive dryer. Don’t buy it.

I would give them no stars if I could. Phoned Tuesday to book a repair . Fine says customer service Sunday . Great says me . The company will phone in the next 48 hours to finalise a time . No phone call so back to customer service again. I will put you straight through to the company doing the repair .The company has no record of my appointment. THEY DO NOT WORK SUNDAYS AND DO NOT COVER MY AREA. So I have wasted 2 days waiting for a nonexistent appointment . Absolutely useless customer service .Don’t waste your time phone someone else ! Finally got a reply from rubbish Miele . Don’t bother I found a company for my repair actually cared about their customers . As I said phone someone else else !

Terrible experience thinking you get what is described a “fixed price repair”!
We previously paid a local engineer to visit and he said would be cheaper to pay for a fixed price aith Miele as a circuit board was all that was needed in his opinion!
Miele Engineer came & after 20 mins said not worth repairing but we could put the £289 that I had paid for a “fixed price repair”towards a new machine. Ended up paying £170 as not happy with the service or lack of it should I say. Not like it used to be for sure!!
After reading reviews and either having to pay another £400 for a washing we opted to buy a Bosh bonus too with a 5 year warranty!
Will not be buying again from Miele!

Triflex HX2 Runner
We have through our lives bought many Miele products, it has always been “the brand of quality” and “Immer besser”
Last Christmas we bought a new vacuum cleaner to replace our old Miele Silver Master, we have no doubt, the new one should be a Miele.
We bought a Miele Triflex HX2 Runner. We were sure the model would fulfil our demands, the vacuum is fine, and easy to come along with, using a lot of battery, but we were satisfied.
After a while we have to clean the filters as described, quite complicated, and when we reach the inner filter we must give up. We tried many times both of us, but we couldn’t loos it, we have seen all the videos etc. but luck. We contacted Miele Denmark, and send the filter to service. The feed back were, you have to clean the filters as described more often. We have only used the vacuum cleaner for a couple of months, so how often? When the filter returns my wife tried to open it without luck, I tried and with a lot of finger force it succeeded but my wife still can’t open it. We have also problems to change the batteries, it needed a lot of finger force, my wife can’t do it, and I have also difficulty getting it of the machine.
We contacted Miele Denmark again, and the answer were: “ it seems that you miss a little finger force, and I must admit, that it takes some to get the fine filter out”.
Conclusion, we have bought a vacuum cleaner which is not to be operated/cleaned in a normal household, it’s needs a strong hand even to shift the battery! when we look of all the plastic components the filter consists of we doubt that it will last for only a few years.
It is not a Miele quality - “Immer besser”
My wife and I are 63 years old, normal physical behaviours, and actually technical.
Purchase date: 07-12-2024
Series number: 00/182764184
The above was send as an e-mail to Miele.de.
We got a response from Miele Denmark. Miele Denmark asked us to go to the shop were we bought the Triflex to get it change to another product. Try to go to a shop and tell them to change the product, it will never happen!
Best regards from Denmark,
Hanne and Jan Kirkeby

I’m disappointed with Miele’s service appointment policy. For a brand of such high reputation, it’s surprising that customers are given an 8 AM to 5 PM time window with no narrower estimate.
It’s unreasonable to expect clients to stay home an entire day, especially considering that Miele represents quality, precision, and customer care. A premium brand should offer a more respectful and flexible service experience — with shorter time slots or real-time updates.

Absolutely rubbish customer service. Do note waste your money as this company does not care if you are without a washing machine for over a month. They have kept me waiting that long.
1. August 25 machine faulty then fixed
2. Sept 25 Machine not draining clothes sodden
3. October 25 Water in the drum machine not working. No technician available for 2 weeks.
4. Today 10/10 technician canceled said will not be here till the end of the month.
Despite complaining they only send automated messages. They cancelled engineer appointment twice and I am with a machine. No options offered to help out whilst without a machine. Paid over £4500 for washing machine & a dryer. Poor customer relationship & service. If you considering buying a premier brand like Miele remember the after service is no good. They seem to only about about sales. You are better of with a Bosh for a 3rd of the price and a better machine
Miele lack of customer service.

I have contacted them by phone email and through a third party. They have failed to come back directly and address the compliant of the machine being out a month. The only time they respond is here to look good. So a few lines on trust pilot with no real solution and acceptance of inconvenience that caused.

Used to be good. Now I’d say below even average. We have had multiple problems with multiple appliances all new. Nail in the coffin is Customer Service which is just total trash.
I’m having an issue with my washing machine (details below). I disagree with the opinion of the Latvian representative office and have already written twice to info(at)miele.de. It’s been almost two weeks, and I still haven’t received a reply. Is this really what you call a premium brand???
Eight years ago, I first became acquainted with Miele appliances when I purchased a vacuum cleaner and a washing machine. I had often heard about Miele’s reputation for quality — high performance and exceptional durability. In particular, Miele washing machines were widely praised for being made exclusively in Germany and lasting 20–30 years.
I purchased a Miele WMV960 WPS washing machine (No. 10/119689286), which at the time was the top model available in Latvia. The machine worked quietly and efficiently, and the TwinDos system was a pleasure to use — everything seemed excellent.
The machine was used only with TwinDos detergents, connected to the city water supply, and operated by a family of three — in other words, under very favorable conditions.
However, after just seven years, the washing machine began making scraping noises. A technician from Miele Latvia inspected it and reported that the machine had a design flaw in the power crossbar to which the drum is attached. I was told that this defect is officially recognized by Miele, and that in such cases the company offers either a significant discount on repairs or on the purchase of a replacement unit (reportedly 50%). After another 5–6 months in this condition, the machine became completely unusable.
I contacted Miele Latvia to resolve the issue. Unfortunately, the representative I dealt with did not attempt to handle the matter appropriately. Instead, I was told that the problem might be due to poor water quality (hard or dirty water) or the use of low-quality detergents. At the same time, he categorically denied the existence of a design flaw. However, he was unable to explain how “hard water” or “poor-quality detergents” could possibly break the drum crosspiece.
I was offered two options:
Repair the washing machine for €1,012, or
Purchase a new one with a 20% discount (after repeated calls from me, this was eventually increased to 25%).
I declined both offers. I do not consider a repair costing more than half the price of the original machine to be reasonable, nor do I consider a 20–25% discount an appropriate solution in this situation. I would like to emphasize that I purchased a premium appliance with an expected 20-year lifespan—a claim frequently promoted by Miele and its resellers. Yet my machine became unusable after only seven years.
I would sincerely appreciate the opinion of Miele’s head office, as I do not believe the response I received from Miele Latvia reflects the standards or customer care expected of a premium brand.
Thank you in advance for your attention.

I would put 0 stars, but it didn’t allow. Customer service at the online shop is diabolical. Beware they do not follow up and claim you haven’t paid for products when actually you have. They then send a credit company after you for double the money without reason. I recommend to Buy from shops, do not buy online at Miele shop.

I have had Miele appliances before and have always raved about them
I bought a Duoflex HX1 Nordic Blue GB on the 24/06/2025.
Today it stopped charging I contacted Miele who told me I would need to send it too their repair shop for repair they told me they would send out a box and arrange collection which takes about 10 working days. Then it would be roughly another two weeks before it would be returned so basically a whole month without a cleaner
I advised customer services no thank you I would like a replacement hoover to which I was told oh we don’t do that we offer a repair advised customer service that under the consumer rights act 2015 I can indeed request a replacement as I have not had the hoover for 6 months
To which I was told well I’ll escalate your issue to our complaints department I said I don’t want to complain I want a replacement hoover
Well that’s how we deal with customers who are demanding a replacement nice customer services I don’t think I am being unreasonable when I have only had my hoover 24hrs over 3 months
My sister had a shark she was a month shy of her 2 year warranty she rang Shark no problem within 48 hrs she was in receipt of a new hoover do yourselves a favour and buy a shark

On Friday they cancelled Saturday appointment and booked for Monday 8:00 am. No one turned up for the appointment. I called at 9:15 to be told that the engineer is not coming. No reason or communication. This for a prepaid service. Apaulling service from Miele.

Ridiculous ordering experience of detergents. Have been ordering Miele detergents for 2 years now. Firstly, there is no record of my preferences or purchases online, so must add them every time. This last time my order got returned because DHL has not found the address, it is in multiple packages, and I received about 10 emails about it, which I just stopped reading at one point. Now I have to re-order again in the good old manual way in the hope it will work this time. Ah yes, and of course I have only received refund for one part of the order I made.
