As ever a pleasure to shop at my local Millets shop. Good products, good prices and friendly well informed staff.

Friendly and helpful

As soon as I entered the store I was greeted by a member of staff who became my assistant during my time in the shop. I personally think they were very helpful. Firstly helping with a refund as I had unfortunately ordered the wrong size. He went on to help & advise on some more work boots. He kindly got out a few different sizes & styles & waited patiently while I tried them on, I did find the perfect pair & made a purchase. It did appear that the assistant I now know as Jack was very genuine in his role & this is why I feel he deserves a mention. This experience has definitely resulted in myself wanting to return to the shop again when I need to.

I don’t usually take the time to write customer reviews on the Internet, but I believe this time I had too much if a pleasant experience in Millets not to do so. Sam and Jack kingly advised me throughout my shopping, with exceptional patience and giving truly insightful thoughts on what to buy or not. I initially went there to buy a few things and buy the rest online, but they provided such a good service that I ended up changing my mind and bought everything there. Also, I went back to return a few items 3 weeks later and there was no problem with it - they didn’t thoroughly inspect the items but instead prioritised customer satisfaction by proceeding quickly to the refund. They even asked how was my camping trip and remembered where I had gone, which is an example of their high attention to detail. Keep it up!

Friendly, courteous and helpful.

Just bought some walking trousers for my daughter for her Gold DofE, she's just coming back from a broken leg playing rugby, and Jack offered lots of sound advice about the different types of trousers available. I couldn't fault him, thank you.

Jack was incredibly helpful in sorting out an exchange for our faulty tent, which telephone customer service had been unable to do. This is consistently my experience with this store - the staff go above and beyond to help. Very grateful

Staff here are always very helpful and knowledgeable about the products in store. Purchased a new pair of walking boots and was served by Chris. He took the time to help me find the right boots for my needs which I really appreciated. Many thanks to Chris and the other staff members for consistently doing a great job.

My son needed equipment for the D of E Award. Sam assisted us and was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable, advised us on what to buy and gave advice to help my son on his camping trip. Thanks for giving us excellent service.

Purchased a Peter Storm Pennine jacket after trying on many other types and makes. It's well made with plenty of zipped pockets and great value for money. The shop assistant could not have been more helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. I highly recommend the Southsea outlet.
