Minko's Macs - Camden Reviews 81

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Minko’s Mac Camden. I had been messaging the shop regarding a Mac Studio listed at £2,500. Based on that price and our correspondence, I travelled to the shop specifically to purchase the device on the spot.

The Issues or trap I don't know:

Sudden Price Increase: Upon arrival, I was told the price had suddenly jumped to £3,000. Increasing the price by £500 right as a customer shows intent to buy is highly unprofessional.

Poor Management Communication: The shop assistant was helpful and answered my technical questions, but explained that only the manager, Minko, could address the pricing.

Wasted Time: I waited in the shop for 45 minutes and tried calling the manager multiple times, even leaving a voicemail. I received no response and no courtesy call back.

In total, I wasted 4-5 hours of my time traveling and waiting. It is very poor business practice to bait a customer with one price and then become unavailable when asked to honor it. If you’re looking for price transparency and professional management, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Fixed it. Pretty quickly. Apple Store could not. Happy customer.

Highly Recommended good customer service They’ve got Friendly staff who actually know what they’re talking about.

Really good shop, wide range of products and the staff are really helpful.

Would definitely use them again.

Initial first encounter on this repair was fine
Had an issue with the repair and I was told to bring it back within 90 days of the repair I brought it back two weeks as I needed it to work
Brought it back today explaining the fault to NOT BE HELPED. To be told it’s fine it’s working
I have the issue and was told to come back
To see a guy who I never dealt with who’s communication is not of the greatest
I asked to speak to the manager called and got no answer or even a call back
Very disappointed in this as I paid for a service and don’t have my full service what I paid for will never use them again and if I was you save you time and money and don’t

Simple repair process for a broken keyboard (I had lost the backspace key).

Very friendly and efficient service - I had to pop back in to tighten up a screw and this was handled super professionally too.

Wholeheartedly recommend!

My Mac Mini repair at Minko’s Camden was smooth in that the staff member did exactly what he said he’d do, at the time he said he’d do it. He was friendly and professional. Mac repairs are, sadly, expensive but Minko’s are certainly competitive in that respect so I couldn’t have asked for better service. It will definitely be my chosen venue in the future even though there are other Mac repair places closer to my home.

Minko's are super reliable and guaranteed to get what you need done as fast as possible for a decent price.

Excellent customer service, solved the problem after a few hiccups but they kept going until it was fixed. I am a regular customer and they treated me very well. I highly recommend

Outstanding Service – Highly Recommend Minko’s Macs!

I brought my MacBook Pro into Minko’s Macs on a last minute appointment after another shop told me it would take days just to diagnose the issue. I was blown away by how quickly they were able to fit me in — they understood I was on a tight deadline and worked efficiently to help.

The team provided an incredibly detailed description of the problem and explained the diagnosis process clearly in plain language. I really appreciated the level of expertise and honesty. No jargon, no upsell — just straightforward advice.

From diagnosis to repair, the speed and turnaround time was fantastic — everything completed far quicker than I expected, without any compromise on quality.

Not only that, the prices were the best I’ve found in London — extremely fair and fully transparent. I felt very confident throughout that my MacBook Pro was in the right hands.

Unbelievable !!!! I phoned to let Minko's Macs know that I had spilt red wine on my computer...one company had already said it couldnt be fixed...Minkos told me to send it to them straight away...this was at 6.15pm on a Friday night....I ubere'd the computer over to them so it probably took 20/25 minutes for them to fix it and they gave me a new screen....they had it fixed by 7.10pm that night. Also at a very reasonable price. I cannot thank them enough, of course I was in the middle of something very important and I have had this computer for 10 years....I have my little baby back which is my lively-hood as I am housebound......Thank you Minko's You are total STARS !!!!!
