You will hear a lot from this company

The product is almost perfect and it looks very good. I had difficulty to assemble it because the insert was not enough explanatory. That is not the reason why I give 4 stars. I would have given 5 stars if the 3 ring colour would match.

The Lightness of Light

Fantastic Modern Look, Lightness of chandelier. The negative point is the cost of it since it has a simple & prefabricated design which bring the production cost down a lot & the material is not expensive as well. Also the installation is time consuming as all the wires have to be adjusted ( double the number of bulbs ). It was better the wires to be inside of the base & only 1 meter outside for adjusting. Also 2 very small screw which holds the bulbs ( base of the bulb ) was not affixed which take a long time to be placed in & then fix the bulb. Our ceiling is 16 feet & we had to pay CAD 800,- for installation which took more than 6 hours. For ceilings up to 10 - 12 feet with less bulbs ( ours is 35 bulbs ) it takes less time .

heavy duty and beautiful

There are so many positive things to say about my experience with mod lighting. First off customer service was very helpful helping me decide which lights were right for me. After placing my order shipping was quick and the lights were very easy to install. I am impressed by the quality of the Haylen lights they are heavy duty and I am confident the weather will not effect them. I love being able to control the brightness and temperature they look good day and night. I have received so many compliments. I will be buying more in the future and recommending them to friends and family.

CRAPPY RETURN POLICY ON STOCKED ITEMS

UPDATE: I am delighted to update about my experience with MOD Lighting. Having received my feedback thru the review .. and having seen my Facebook post ... I was contacted immediately by a Senior Account Representative.

Upon reviewing our case and the circumstances surrounding the build of our client's home and the reason for the delay between shipping and installation - they agreed to provide a full store credit for our shipment.

The lights are in the process of being returned .. and we have our designers looking at the MOD LIghting catalog to use the credit for some lighting in our upcoming show home.

I am grateful for this immediate response and resolution.

Anyone ordering lights on line .. beware ....
I recommend that you stay AWAY from a company called MOD LIGHTING. They do a lot of advertising on social media ...
Back in August .. we were looking for lighting for clients that was "solar" .. We would not need the lighting for many months .. but we ordered it in advance to ensure it arrived in ample time for our project finish.
We found what we thought were beautiful lights that would work on our project. All of other solar lighting that we have ever purchased includes the solar panel built right into the lighting ....
So we opened up the package to do the installation we discover that the while the lights are beautiful .. they do in fact need wiring because they have a remote solar panel.
Our project will not allow for the wiring .. that's why we needed solar lighting .. thus the lights will not fit in our application ....
And the lights were over $600 CAD plus I had to drive to Montana (90 minutes away) to pick them up.
We have all original packaging so I reached out to the company to arrange for return. This was not a special order .. it is an in stock item ... and I was told we were over the 30 days return policy .. and are out of luck. So, I reached back out to MOD LIGHTING suggesting we would even pay a reasonable restocking charge ... these lights are completely worthless and will have to discarded.
Their response was a firm no .. but they would give me a credit of 10% of the order ($60.00 on a $600.00 order)
I am a big proponent of buying local and would not normally go outside the country to order something on line .. but the reality was .. this is the ONLY company that had what we thought was a suitable solution ... but when it was not suitable .. we are left with lights we cannot use.
Moral of this story .. stay away from MOD LIGHTING ... and buy local ... Refusing to accept returns on perfectly good merchandise in the building industry is just bad business ... Builders often have to buy in advance so they have the material when it is needed .. but this policy does not allow for that .. 30 days is very little time for a builder .

Had these been a special order or anything unique .. I could maybe understand .. but this is a stocked item ... that can be restocked and resold ...

Very bad experience ....

company made good on everything

UPDATE: i eventually did receive the remaining lights and i am SO happy with them. they look exactly like the picture and i couldn’t be happier. I only would request that if the order is coming in multiple shipments that they advise at the time the first tracking number is sent. i would definitely continue to shop on Mod-Lighting
original post: i ordered 5 Teri lights and paid for expedited shipping too: i received one light and no help after i was hoodwink out of close to $1,000

All five lights failed

I bought five Haylen RGB lights from them for over $2000. I had them installed with a reputable electrician service. Within 8 months, all five lights failed. When I went to make a warranty claim, they would only provide LED strips for each light. They then sent a video on how to cut and solder wires to DIY repair a 94" light. They also said the lights wouldn't be covered if they failed again because the warranty only covers one occurrence. I'm not sure how that's legal with a three year warranty. I haven't been able to find their written warranty anywhere other than what they said in their email

Mod lighting customer service is top tier because they actually contact you back immediately. It's not a generic message saying some will get back to you, it's a nice human with a name lol.

The items are gorgeous. I have ordered several items and LOVE their sales (which is usually when I grab something).

Can't say enough great things about this company.

Fantastic lights

Dishonest Company that knowingly sells faulty products.

The absolute worst service ever. Terrible communication. I’ve been trying to resolve a problem with 2 of their lights they keep promising me they are working on it and then nothing. Products are shoddy. Service is even worse.

Updates:

The Saga continued, they eventually replaced the lights which had the same problem. The Black Strip in the center pops out whenever the weather is warm.

They said this has never happened before which is a plain lie as a quick search of the web is full of the same problem.

They tried to have this review removed and said I wasn't a real customer.

Now they won't honor the return guarantee because they say it is more than 30 days, even though dragged their heels for 56 days and it has taken me 52 emails to get here.

This appears to be a dishonest company that continues to sell faulty products even though they know full well there is a problem with them.

I shall now have to resort to the small claim court to resolve the problem, which is a total waste of time and Money.

Stay well clear.

We have tried to search for your order so we can check this further for you as your order was not under Sean Foy's name. We requested more information here on Nov. 3 but you did not provide your order number until Nov. 14, 2023. When we got your order number, we checked with our team and can see that we have shipped you 2 brand new replacements for you which were delivered to you on Nov. 13, 2023.

After shipping full replacements, you still said that the lights are acting the same way, which we have never experienced before. Nonetheless, we fulfilled our promise of shipping all the replacements and now refunded those 2 units in FULL. However, you have now requested a refund for the other lights that you ordered which are working well and you have been using for several months. We cannot refund an order that is outside of the return period and is working as it should. This request is unreasonable.

You have also been threatening our staff to leave negative reviews which you did in many places. Please understand that we did our best to make this right for you and will consider this case closed since you have received a full refund from us on the 2 units that you reported issues on.

Very responsive on inquiries and follow…

Very responsive on inquiries and follow up on my recent order. I was able to get to a price that was favorable versus other companies. Instead of being handled by a bot I gained a follow up by a person who was on point with my needs and shortened my time to get an answer. Some bots can leave a buyer frustrated. Glad to see people interact and get inquiries answered expeditiously.
