This is an absolute abomination of a business. Ordered a pair of skates for my daughter’s Christmas. After a week or so I asked for an update to be told after my order was placed it transpired they were not able to get the stock from the supplier and they had refunded me. Fair enough so technically they cancelled my order. But no refund had been received. Almost one month passes and no response to my messages asking where my refund is. I then get a voicemail telling me I’d be receiving the skates any day now by which point I had already sourced another pair. Knowing exactly where this was going I asked them to message me in writing, I’m then told it was incorrect that that the skates were out of stock and as they were a non stock item they wouldn’t have been despatched right away.and to this end they had ordered them and were sending them to me and then started ignoring my messages. My husband then got involved to request the refund. On phoning he was told Kate wasn’t in and then started getting spun a load of nonsense about Covid from which reading other reviews seems to be a tactic they use a lot, then it was family crisis and then he was accused of being threatening when after going back and forth for god knows how long stated that we would be commencing proceedings to retrieve our money. Didn’t threaten merely gave notification of our intent.
I honestly do not think I have ever dealt with a more horrendous company in my life. Avoid at all costs please. And absolutely everything I have said here can be backed up with hard proof.
Edit: I did eventually receive my refund so don’t be put off by their rude, obtrusive and quite frankly appaling attitude!

Ordered products that said they were in stock on the website however were told they were out of stock once the order went through.
The items that were in stock and did arrive and were good.
I waited 3 months for the other products which still weren't in stock (fair enough since it was a supplier issue).
I asked for a refund via email (which I had to chase up since they didn't respond - took a month) to which they said they would give me one. I still haven't received a refund yet so I had to chase them up one again. Still haven't got an email back even after sending 7 emails (all polite which they don't deserve).
I finally got a refund randomly months later after I sent my last email, 7 months after I placed the order!

Although the items I got were good I would not recommend. You don't know if the item you are ordering is actually in stock as the website is not accurate with stock levels and if the item is out of stock you will have to wait an indeterminate amount of time. If you have to send an email to them you have to chase them up to get a reply or never get a reply.

Lovely skate shop, I have visited in person to get my step daughters skates a while back and the shop was lovely, she was spoilt for choice and we were really well advised on a lush pair for her birthday skates. I have also recently purchased some new Skates for myself after my partner got me a voucher, I couldn't get down to the shop so I did it all online. I had many conversations with the team via whatsapp, they were really attentive and helped me decide on a new pair and gave me a code for my vouchers to be used online. The skates arrived today and they are gorgeous! I can't wait to try them out! Thanks to everyone involved who stayed helpful throughout even with my million questions!

Wow, what a bad company, attacks you for your political views, admitted she doesnt care about peoples opinions of her shop, i have a screenshot proving it, says one of brands she sells only sells to idiots, (again I have proof)

Absolutely awful company who never gives refunds, she should be shit down

They are scammers and liers
We did order roller skates on November and the lie’s out off stock, no size, delays, hospital appointment ect, guys stay away from them.
I do try claim the money now if any one knows more details about them please share

I ordered 8 luminous wheels for my rollerskates. A few months later two of the wheels don't light up anymore. Troubleshooted them changing the magnetic core and the bearings. Still no lights... Contacted the shop to ask if there's any chance to get a refund for those faulty wheels. They ignored my messages. Do not expect a good customer service from this business

Ordered last Tuesday - no mention of being out of stock on website. Emailed Thursday, spoke to them Friday. Told item was out of stock and order size up. Its now Tuesday, called them again. Was told item out of stock. Reminded lady we'd already talked about this and if order wasn't shipped please cancel. She was to call back. No call. Terrible service. Wouldn't recommend. Only ordered as this website made out they had in stock, every other retailer was at least honest.

Customer Service how it should be... and beyond! After ordering my daughter a new cycling helmet on the assumption we would pick it up whilst on holiday in Exeter, we soon ran out of days to pick it up. I requested if the store would be happy to ship the helmet to my home address and offered to pay the shipping charge. However, Steph couldn't have been more helpful and mentioned she is only a few minutes from Exeter Services and she would be happy to meet us there on our way home to drop it off, which she did and insisted she wouldn't take any additional payment. Not only that, Steph also took the time to explain how to safely fit the helmet and what would be the necessary steps should it not fit. I can't thank Steph enough for her commitment to customer service and for making our journey home easier whilst ensuring my daughter got the helmet she had her eyes set on and enjoyed today (the day after) scooting around safely. Thank you again Steph. The Powells :-)

I went into the shop after I hadn’t been skating for 15+ years. I had already purchased some street skates from an online shop but fancied going into roller Derby. I didn’t know what do look for and what gear to get. Katie and Chi were super knowledgable, approachable and friendly and remain so after sales. I really recommend going here if you are starting skating or going back into it again. It’s so much better to speak to someone who knows their stuff in person rather than someone over the internet!

I visited the shop looking for a new pair of skates, after my first pair brought online from a different retailer never really fitted properly. The service I received was great, they took note of my concerns around by freakishly square feet and helped me find the right pair. The advice was on point, and the skates are perfect. I love them, and they fit brilliantly.
The shop has a wonderful array of skate gear, and I’m compiling a list of things I ‘need’!

I’ve always wanted to skate but as an almost 30 year old I was too nervous that I’d be a loner or get made fun of, until I went into Momma Trucker Skates! Kate has been incredible helping me find the right skates, the perfect fit & all the bells & whistles to get me on my way, as well as meeting a lush group of likeminded people!

The team at Momma Truckers are fab, I have bought both in store and online and have found them to be helpful and happy to assist. I purchased derby skates from here recently and they were so helpful, I honestly felt they really wanted to find the perfect fit for me. They enquired about my budget and went above and beyond to ensure it stayed within that. When I've purchased online, my fancy skate stuff is always delivered promptly and is always as promised. Amazing independent skate shop. Bought my skates from here a while ago and they were super helpful in ensuring I had the 'right fit' nothing was too much trouble. I popped in to see them the other day and once again and received a lovely personal experience and I came away with more great skating goodies and stickers - because everyone loves a sticker right?!

Bought my derby skates from earlier this year then upgraded my wheels. Excellent advice and customer service. Lots of tips and equipment on offer in the shop which is a much nicer experience than buying online.

Over 2 months ago, I ordered some 88A halos. 3 weeks after ordering, noticed they hadn't been shipped so messaged them and they said they were out of stock everywhere so they were waiting for the US supplier. Cut to about a month and a half. Still not shipped, so they said again they were waiting for the supplier, so i found some elsewhere, bought them and asked about a refund. No reply. I sent another message. No reply. I contacted them via Shopify. No reply.

Then today I get a notification saying the wheels have shipped.

I immediately message them explaining how unhappy I am. They're trying to tell me I ordered them via pre-order, but that's a lie and they won't refund me because I apparently pre-ordered. They were in stock when i ordered them on the store, as I wouldn't have ordered them for pre-order, because I'm impatient and wanted them for an upcoming game.

Even if I had preordered, their lack of contact throughout this during the THREE TIMES I messaged them about a refund has been abysmal. I've checked my emails etc. and there is NOTHING about a pre-order and no message from them saying the product isn't in stock so there might be a wait.

Absolutely fuming at this rubbish customer service. Never shopping there again and would advise others not to also.

I ordered and paired for some skates online from Momma Truckers which the website showed as being in stock. Momma Truckers rang to say they didn't have them in stock. I had also ordered some knee and elbow pads at the same time. I asked Momma Truckers to refund the cost of the skates and still send the knee/elbow pads which they said they'd do. A couple of days went past and I hadn't heard anything. I then received a notification by email of a refund for the entire amount of my purchase but there was nothing in my account. I offered to pay for them again if they had refunded the entire amount. Momma Truckers responded that they'd send the pads by courier. The pads didn't arrive so I contacted them again to be told that they don't use couriers and that they'd be coming by post. Couple of days later and still nothing. I rang and left two messages to enquire what was happening and also left an email. I had no answer to either. By this time it was clear that the pads weren't going to be arriving to go with the skates that I had now purchased from somewhere else in time for Christmas. The upshot was I had to drive for 30 minutes to somewhere else on Christmas eve morning to buy some pads. Momma Truckers said they were open all the way up to Christmas and I still haven't had any response.

I've just received an unacceptable telephone call from 07588593668 - momma trucker skates.

I've spent £50+ on a helmet online, requested to return for another size. Most professional businesses would be accommodating.

I've not measured my head incorrectly. I've been skating for years & I've had helmets from several brands.

This arrived with NO outer packaging or protection & the helmet box has been damaged in transit. I won't accept this as it's head protection that may have already taken several knocks.

As per the Consumer Rights Act 2015
'In case of online, phone, or postal sales, customers may return an item without any reason for a full refund. That means, irrespective of whether an item is defective or not, it can be returned within 14 days after receipt.'

I will now be returning this product.

Absolutely unbelievable I won't be purchasing from this place again or recommending to anyone.

I'm not up for an argument at nine o'clock in the morning.

Really happy with my new skates. Always a pleasure coming into your shop. First rate knowledge of all skates and accessories and, even though I want to buy the whole shop, I receive honesty about saving my money on unnecessary purchases. Very friendly shop, great staff. Highly recommended.

Really experienced and friendly people run this shop. Great range of products and they will order in at request where possible. A pleasure to visit every time.
