Motorscene was going to deliver a car to myself, then phone and told.us they sold it. Asked why, because we had not put a deposit on it. They DID NOT say we needed a deposit. So now we have no car for work.

Would give a minus 10 if I could. Manager an absolute joke and doesn't care about his customers. Paid £200 for a full service which was supposedly done, everything marked as good, no issues at all. Only for 5 weeks later have an MOT with them and major defects and advisories!!! So don't think they actually bothered to do service and just got tick happy. They wanted 400 odd to do the one part. Rang another garage who could do it for half the price. Spoke to several garages and all said that the major defects and advisories SHOULD have been picked up if done correctly as such a short space of time between the service and MOT.
Rang to speak to manager to get refund for job not done. To be basically told tough luck. We have a poster on our wall stating so many good reviews. Not giving a refund and put the phone down on me. Absolutely disgraceful customer service. Doesn't give 2 hoots about his customers. Just along as he's raking in the money by constantly ripping people off especially if you are female. Will never step foot in this hell hole again. Would highly recommend avoiding at all costs. Unless you like to be fobbed off and have money to burn.

I would give it a zero if I could ...had major service and mot just over a year ago with motazone thought all well car fab only to find issue with oil pressure .took to good name company only to find that no oil or filter or brake fluid change was made ..... motazone charged for major service and iam very much doughting after this one that no service was evervdone ....... I will never use again or will I send people to them .... pile of crooks

This company is OK for a MOT or a simple fix, but it seems they pack in so many vehicles they don't have the time or desire to work on more time consuming jobs. After 3 bad experiences in a row we won't be returning. The last being just a week or so ago when hubby took his car in for a MOT and asked them to look at a coolant leak. When he went to collect it they didn't mention the leak so he asked them to be told they couldn't find it, which concerned us thinking it could be a head gasket issue. 2 days later we took the car to a garage recommended to us by a friend and within seconds of having the car up in the air they found 2 bad leaks - 'how could they have missed those?' the mechanic asked as he pointed them both out to hubby. The truth is we don't think Motozone even tried. The time previous my son had to leave his car with them for 3 days for them to replace a minor suspension part and a carry out a repair to his drivers window as the motor seemed to have stopped working. When he went to collect the car they had only replaced the suspension part - something he should have had back the same day. We asked them about the window and were told they were busy we'd have to book it back in..... he works in Bristol and the journey by public transport is difficult from where we live so he's taking it somewhere else. I wouldn't say they are the friendliest bunch and you have to call them for updates as it's unlikely they let you know what's happening or if they have finished.

Car went in for starter motor ..drove it to their garage parked it up . Called 4 days later to be told still not done would be done within the week was told this every time I called then when I said I’d take it somewhere else was told that the main fuse and wiring was burnt out and that there was no power whatsoever?? But it had power when it was left with them and when it was pushed in to the workshop ? manager not interested in sorting it out even though it was ok when I drove it to them ..my bill went from £340 to £1200 and to date I still don’t have my car because they won’t pay the auto electrician for fixing it and expecting me to pay it after they caused the problem..AVOID AT ALL COST .
Frustrated
I took my car for repairs after noticing a "Battery charging fault" warning on my vehicle's dashboard, I was advised to replace the battery. However, even after doing so, the problem persisted. Then, it was suggested that the alternator might be the issue. Despite replacing it, and even after three alternators were changed over three weeks, the warning sign remained. Communication with the garage was poor, with no updates provided unless I drove there in person. On the fourth week, I decided to take my car elsewhere for repairs. I called them and fortunately they picked up my call and they agreed, but confirmed the issue was still unresolved. Surprisingly, upon my arrival, the error seemed to have been fixed. However, after driving just 70 miles, the same warning light reappeared.
Upon contacting them, the manager responded aggressively, insisting that they had rectified the issue and refused to refund my £500. Despite this, I stood my ground and returned the car for another check. After another three weeks of silence with my car, I visited the garage, where they assured me the car was fixed. This proved false when, after driving only 30 miles, the same warning light reappeared and this time the gearbox also failed. It seems their attempted repairs caused more damage than good.
This seven-week ordeal, which left me without a car and received no apology or alternative solution from the garage, was truly frustrating. I strongly advise against using their services if you value your vehicle.

3. No update service ie texts or phone calls mixed with false promises.
For a supposedly cost effective garage my bill was almost £200 over estimated budget. Due to labour costs.
I want to believe it's justified paying nearly £300 in labour costs but it just doesn't sit right for a radiator hose and connector.
I was advised the labour was high due to intake manifold having to be removed if that's true and a fair price I will most definitely adjust my review but it seems expensive.
Overall communication is truly terrible and its absolutely key in customer service.
I have not had any warning lights return so must of done a good job fixing my coolant leak so that I appreciate and thank the team.

took my car to Motazone Griffithstown this week knowing there was nothing wrong with my car and just expecting them to ring to say it was passed and I could go and pick it up but instead they rang me to say it had failed the MOT and was going to cost more than 300 pound to repair. This was apparently due to sensor being ‘broke’ in my engine and my seat belt being also ‘broke’. I said I wasn’t going to pay this amount as it was way to much and I’d get a second opinion so took it to another garage the day after who said there was not a thing wrong with it and it had passed the MOT with flying colours(no broke sensor or seat belt there was simply something jammed in my seatbelt buckle which came out very easily and this was not there prior to my car going to their garage!!) when we rang motazone to ask why they had failed the MOT as my car was fine they had nothing to say at all. Clearly after a bit of extra cash and thought they’d try me as I’m a woman and have little knowledge on cars. Luckily I didn’t pay the huge sum of money and took it somewhere else but the stress this caused was unbelievable and wouldn’t want anyone else to be robbed of their hard earnt cash. I have reported them to DVSA will all of my evidence including video evidence of my MOT results showing no faults at the second garage.
Untrustworthy mechanics
I had an alternator issue which I booked in with them they swap the alternator increase the price and broke my steering fluid reservoir which they bodged back together I phoned them my less than 36 hours after their initial repair seeing my vehicle was making a strange noise and they told me they could not look at it for the next week 4 days later their attempted repair on my steering fluid reservoir snapped off losing my steering and up in hydraulic fluid all over the floor. I expect accidents to happen but I wouldn't prefer them to be truthful and honest about then because when I asked them if if anything happened when we were working on my van they told me I had play in a ball joint when it was booked in for an alternator repair. Even when I took the van in for your recovery truck they didn't even look at it in the 48 hours it was there I took it away and repaired the work myself this is the second bad experience and the second time I have used motazone in Cwmbran.
Below average experice
Had an mot and major service, my service book wasn't filled out even though I left it on the passenger seat.. no big deal I guess people make mistakes. Then went in the reception to ask them to fill it out for me, ended up filling it out wrong by 4 thousand miles.
Just seemed like they didn't really care. I've had services from smaller garages before and they've gone in my boot and filled in my service book before I even asked them to.
Also service reminder on dash wasn't cleared, when asked could they clear it they told me to go around to see the mechanic. When I spoke to the mechanic he assured me that he couldn't clear it as the date was 2023... once again I've had mechanics in the past clear it for me without even being asked to do so.
Overall experience wasn't the best, only positive was the price was very good.
Wouldn’t go anywhere else
Been using motazone for a while now and they go above and beyond for their customers and always give a great price. I know as a female they will 100% not rip me off. Wouldn’t trust anywhere else

Had not on my van last year. Told needed new discs and pads on front and said van was dangerous too use until done also needed new CV boot charged me for CV boot but not been done had too take it back after service because air filter wasn't bolted down also oily hand marks allover van they also said ballpoint had play in it noted van today there is nothing wrong with balljiont avoid this garage at all costs as they do work which is not needed and work is not done too a good standard I asked too see old discs and pads but been disposed of would not use them again very poor service and feel they are dishonest

Shocking, put car in for mot, came back with with broken drop link and coil spring which they took no liability for. They quoted me £220 to fix. They either break stuff on you car or add broken stuff so your car need repairs. Avoid at all costs

Terrible Service and an extremely rude manager.
I live in Barry and was returning to Cwmbran to visit family. My car started badly juddering and the yellow engine light came on and a member of my family suggested I visit this garage to resolve the problem. I dropped the car off and was contacted a few days afterwards to advise the problem was the oxygen sensor and was assured that it was nothing else. I gave the go ahead to have the car fixed along with a service and was then brought all the way back to Cwmbran by family to pick the car up as they said the repairs were finished. I drove the car back to Barry and on the way back the juddering started and the yellow engine light came on and was extremely fearful I’d crash the car. I contacted the garage to express my concerns and the first person I spoke to didn’t really seem to care and said to bring the car back into the garage. I advised that as the car was back with me in Barry that it would be extremely dangerous to bring it back to Cwmbran and that the problem clearly hasn’t been fixed as they advised it was. I then spoke to the manager whose attitude and professionalism was absolutely disgusting. He kept repeating to bring the car back to Cwmbran despite constantly repeating that I couldn’t do that in the car’s state. He also stated they couldn’t collect the car but then stated he could get a tow company involved but that I’d have to pay the cost which is ridiculous; especially considering this is the fault of the garage. After further pleas to pick the car up and return it and to actually fix the problem I paid to have done; the manager ended up putting the phone down on me.
I’m now going to take the car to a local garage in my area to sort out the mess this garage has caused to my car and will be contacting trading standards. Do not go to this garage if you want your car looked after. Dreadful customer service and a lack of care from the staff and manager.
UPDATE : Second garage confirmed the wrong oxygen sensor had been replaced and that the service done on the car; double the amount of oil had been put into the car and one of the car breather’s was slightly crushed. Since this review was first posted, a CCJ has been served against Motazone Cwmbran and they now legally owe me the money I paid for the work. As expected, they have failed to respond to this and my messages on social media; requesting how I’ll be repaid. Clearly they know they’re at fault but don’t want to take responsibility for their mistake. Please please do not take your vehicle here, go elsewhere and save yourself the hassle.

I have a very problematic Vauxhall Meriva and have taken it to numerous other garages with the same problem and nowhere but Motazone have been able to identify what it was. Not only that but repaired it at a very fair price. Added to this they also noticed a minor fault which I hadn't even mentioned (seat belt catch was not retracting properly) and repaired it without telling me nor billing me for it (I noticed it was repaired once I got home).
I have been ripped off many times by other garages and trust this garage implicitly.
Would not hesitate to recommend.
