No ice on a very hot day
The room and beds were very comfortable, although there was some plumbing noise. Breakfast was adequate: muffins, waffles, yogurt, boiled eggs... Nothing special or exciting. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The main issue we had is that there are two ice machines: the one on our floor was broken and the other was out of ice most of the time that we tried to get some. Being in a place that spends so many days being quite hot, they ought to consider getting another machine or two.

We had requested a first floor since we are in our mid 80s. We were told it would be iffy.

When we got there the first floor was. In fact, not available.
So be it.
However, 3 other couples in our party made reservations well after us in the week, and when they got to Bend Motel 6,all 3couples got first floor rooms.

The last Motel 6 I stayed at was a nightmare
The last Motel 6 I stayed at was downtown Ogden UT. I would have gotten better sleep at a rest area and wouldn't have had to waste an hour with one incompetent employee who couldn't find my paid reservation and another who didn't know how to return my deposit. The place was so loud I got zero sleep.
