MOTOR AID HAINAULT

MOTOR AID HAINAULT , AVOID ,
So booked my MOT in , was told washer water pump needs replacing and track rod , asked if they tried the fuse was told yes the pump needs replacing for a new one and track rod ends need replacing , they quoted £470 and said this is a special discount price (lol). I was quite shocked . So I refused the work and took it to another garage , with in 5 mins in the new garage they replaced the fuse and washer pump working perfectly they tested the pump and said it’s in perfect working order no need to replace I was very upset they they tried to replace my washer pump when it was a simple fuse issue . Then the track rod issue the other garage quoted me for Mot and to fix and replace the track rod issue £120 all in including MOT and the fuse was free . MOTORAID WAS ASKING £470 . I know it’s the new year and everyone tight but please don’t try to rip people off , I’m a local who though I can trust my local garage my first experience at motor aid was a disgrace avoid guys avoid .

Took my audi to them with a coolant…

Took my audi to them with a coolant level sensor problem. £400 and new expansion tank later and still not fixed. Took it back and they said to put it on diagnostic machine!( another £140) Still didn't help they said there was a leak from a coolant pipe! Near the bulk head and it was a 21day wait for the part at a cost of over £200. I decided to take my car back and investigate as there was no leak previously, the picture of the leak was a small hole near the end of the pipe that is the bleed hole, it's supposed to be there! And they didn't put the hose clamp on properly. Don't take your car there. Not German car specialist.

Grandchildren sorted…

The staff are very friendly and extremely helpful and accommodating, i dropped my car off at approximately 08:15 and the service was excellent i had a phone call to say it was ready around 11:00. Expected it to be a lot later which enabled me to collect my grandchildren from school. Thank you Motoraid another great job done.

Really went the extra mile

Really went the extra mile
I was delighted with the service I received from Motor Aid. I needed the repairs turned around really quickly and they went to great efforts to ensure that I received the car back in time. The quality of the workmanship was high and the car was returned in immaculate condition. I would highly recommend Motor Aid to others.

Took my Hyundai Tuscan in to get a gearbox oil change, the price was very reasonable, compared to a quote I got from the brand name garage .Plus they gave it a health check.
Very happy with the service .

Poor service mislead

I took my car in to be serviced and an MOT done at the MotorAid Hainault branch. I was told I could pick the car up mid to late afternoon of the same day. It got to 4.30pm (1hr before they closed) I contacted them to ask when I could arrange pick up. I was told despite the car only needing a basic service and MOT they'd need to keep the car over night to finish the MOT the next day as the service had been completed (at no point during this call did they mention any issue or complications). They said they'd contact me as soon as it was ready the following day. The next day I waited until 10am with no update. I called again and was informed that the day prior the car was serviced with a, and I quote "small advisory" relating to the bushes on the steering. However when they did the MOT for the car their very own tester decided that what their service department deemed as a "small advisory" was infact a major issue warranting a failure of the MOT. I also find it strange that the MOT was done after the service rather than before as it would allow the service department to carry out any neccassary work identified in the MOT. They did all of this without updating me on what was going on. They told me they hadn't contacted me yet as they were planning on calling me once they had priced up the cost of the repair required to get it passed on the MOT. In the end I decided to take the car back as I had completely lost trust in what they were doing. Its a scary thought that had I not required an MOT they'd have allowed my car to leave after a service despite the fact it would be classed by their very own MOT tester as not road worthy! Disappointed doesn't begin to describe my feelings especially after still paying close to £300 for such a poor service. No information or updates with inconsistencies in what they're service and MOT departments were doing can't help but make me think they were trying to squeeze a bit of extra money out of me. On top of that the fact I was mislead about how long they'd need the car even though it had been booked in for months mean't I had to pay for a return cab to and from work ontop of the cost of their work. Gutted with their service will certainly not return. Only reason its not a 1 star is the fact the service was carried out as planned.

Very unimpressed again

Used this company a few yrs ago, good then a new manager turned up it went down hill. I thought I'd give it another chance so Sat 9th December rang them and asked if it was possible to send a technician with a scanner to come out to my vehicle tell me whats wrong, I was going to pay for that, get them then to give me repair price and if reasonable get it transported to there base and repaired. The lady I spoke to, who claimed to be the manager, said would ring me Monday to let me know. Didn't call me Monday, I called them and asked if I would be called by the end of business Tuesday I was told yes. Tuesday 16.28 I rang to speak to the manager and was told she was unavailable again, to which I asked was it going to happen yes or no, the answer was no. So, why does it take 2 days being messed about wasting my time to get a simple answer? Its not hard to pick up a phone

1st Class Customer Service

Required to use through insurance and have to say the customer service received from Star, Hollie & the rest of the team at Basildon was first class.
Communication was excellent, work done impeccable. A real friendly team.

Recently had bodywork done here

Recently had bodywork done here, Daisy was extremely helpful and responsive, dealt promptly with a problem I had after the work was done - great price, good work and aftercare - great little courtesy car sorted out for me last minute, my car picked up and returned, friendly service and very helpful office staff who were great on follow ups etc. I would recommend - thank you.

Great service from Motoraid Burnt Mills Basildon. I recently had my car repaired at…

I recently had my car repaired at Motoraid , Burnt Mills, Basildon .
They did such a great job; not just with making my car look beautiful again but also getting great personal service.
Holly was my first acquaintance with the firm. She was kind,very helpful and efficient and made me a lovely cup of coffee.
Lee her Manager was next.
He kindly listened to me and got the car mended quickly and so well.
Kelly allowed Holly to drive me home after I’d driven my car to them; They would have picked it up but it was quicker for me to deliver it.
Nobody likes their car being damaged but getting lovely service from Motoraid made a horrible experience get better.
Great service from a great team at Motoraid. Well done to you all.

The repair of the gearbox of my Qashqai…

The repair of the gearbox of my Qashqai was excellent. They took my car in and and kept my informed as the works that was going on. Upon collection I received it back all washed and cleaned. I do rate this garage and the car now drives just like new - Well Done to them!

Got to them through the insurance…

Got to them through the insurance company to repair my Mercedes tailgate. Very happy with the service. Perfect body repair and nicely painted. The time will let me know about the painting durability but I was told that have warranty. So definitely will be using again, hopefully not for body repairs but normal maintenances.
