Caused damaged to my car
They had my car for some repairs of the back of an accident
Due to negligence cause further damage to my car to the point where I wouldn’t start also didn’t look after the vehicle allowed it to get weathered and also didn’t start the car I’ll look after it to the point where the battery was dead the car was handed to them with some bodywork they handed it me back completely broken down
They also took four months to complete the work and also wasn’t technically able to complete parts and diagnostics so had to go to a Vauxhall garage wouldn’t recommend stay clear of them and auxillis
Car insurance repair
recently had my car repaired at Widnes Autobodies after someone backed into it . They came and picked it up on a low loader , kept me updated the whole time it was with them and completed the job almost a week before the estimated time. The car looks as good as new and they valeted and sanatised it before Steve the driver delivered it back to my house for me. A very straight forward experience.

Had to click one star as zero isn’t an option. This has to be the most disgraceful service ever to be received from a garage. Given 4 dates for collection of vehicle all to be cancelled as car not ready. I appreciate we are in unprecedented times but they have now had my vehicle for 6 weeks to be told again today. Still not ready. Service is disgusting staff no idea what one or the other is doing. Would never allow another vehicle to go here will be looking into taking this further

Staff friendly and very efficient to deal with. Satisfied with the repair of my car, returned to me in good condition. Could not tell car had been repaired. Would certainly recommend them.
Excuses from last century
I called to inspect my car pre collection after having some panel and paint work completed. Panels not correctly aligned, paint orange peel and lights not correctly aligned to panels.
I mentioned this to the gentleman who claimed to by a master tech with 40 years experience and he came out with the most stunning excuse that is no longer valid "it's a mass produced car" "the rear lights should overhang the bumper" "the gaps aren't always straight between panels" "the panels have locating lugs"
None of these excuses are valid,
1. It may be mass produced, but it is my car and everything lined up before the accident. The look of the work is not what you accept on a forecourt vehicle from a Skoda main dealer so customers should not be expected to accept sub standard week. Maybe 20 years ago mass produced cars had huge variations, with today's engineering panels from car to car generally fit like a glove with little variation between vehicles
2. Rear light clusters have never over hung the rear bumper. They align so the lines flow and there are no steps in the joints.
3. If this is true why do they even have tolerances. The gaps and panels are such that when 'properly'aligned the gaps and joints will be even throughout. Any uneven gap point to either misalignment or geometry beneath the panel affected by the damage and not corrected prior to replacing panels.
4. The panels have locating lugs. Wow I'm shocked that they exist to help you place the panel on the body, but again it is down to the technician assembling the body panels to ensure they are aligned as the lugs are not made with zero tolerance.
Also when the car delivery was attempted it is clear is was not re-inspected following the concerns I raised a couple of days ago. There were fresh scuff marks on the rear quarter panel which indicated the QA is not thorough and that staff do not have pride in ensuring NPS and CSAT scores are high. On a final note for a large company the logistics of delivering and collecting vehicle within small time windows for customers seemed an issue until I told them to keep the vehicle until I am free as they expected me to hang round for upto 4 hours waiting for my car to be delivered. I managed to get an hour's window for delivery, the driver was really helpful and empathetic (the first staff member that was) but that does not detract from having wasted over an hour on a wasted round trip having to leave work only to find my car is still not right.
Hopefully when it arrives next week someone will check it over and it will be of a standard they would give to a family member or the owner of MBW.
