Our tour guy Steve was so full of historical and entertaining facts. We are familiar with the Lakes but learned things we didn't know! We thought the day was very good value and a lot was packed into our trip. Excellent day despite a couple of planned road closures, which meant a small change of the route! I would definitely recommend booking and we will be coming back for more.

Day tour of the lakes taking in Hawkshead, Bowness and a Windermere cruise. Paul was our tour guide, giving background and making the places come alive with his interesting facts and stories, he was the perfect tour guide making the day very enjoyable and memorable.

Had a fabulous trip on the Mountain Goat on 2.10.25 in the Lake District. Our tour guide was Lisa who was enthralling with the tale of the Beauty of the Lakes from the Fish Inn.
I was intrigued!
Would highly recommend this tour as these buses can go where a coach cannot !

Great Guide. Knew so much about the Yorkeshire Dales Mark H. Such an enjoyable day. Lunch at beautiful Bolton Castle and stunning views of waterfalls and James Herriot Country.

Went on the 10 Lakes tour. We had a wonderful day, fantastic scenery. Well organised tour. Plenty of stops.
Patrick was our driver, knowledgeable about the lakes, even quoted some Wordsworth poetry. Good sense of humour. Glad there are only 16 people on the tour.
Unforeseen road block, but Patrick just took it in his stride and soon had us back on track. We were not rushed at any of the stops. I would definitely recommend Mountain Goat Tours.

Just returned from a fantastic One day tour of the Lake District with Mountain Goat from Manchester. The weather was perfect, and the scenery—absolutely stunning! Our driver-guide, David, was wonderful—super knowledgeable, calm, and incredibly patient. Tour guides are expected to be chatty, but his composed and thoughtful style made the experience even better.
The vehicle was also in great condition and the seats super comfortable.

We had ample time for family photos, and the highlight was definitely the Lakeside and Haverthwaite steam railway—magical! A bit more time for a short hike or trail would’ve made it even better. But overall, an amazing experience. Highly recommend!

Myself & Mrs P went on the 6 lakes tour with Tim. Great sense of humour, knowledgeable & funny. Plenty to see & well planned. Highly recommended. Tim loves his job & its shines through. Take the tour...you won't be dissapointed.

My mum came on holidays from Mauritius - its the appropriate and more secure way to make an elderly person visit the lake district with its beautiful scenery and the english heritage. Our bus and tour guide was really amazing made us see most of it although the weather was playing up from time to time. We had a great family time.

We've had an amazing journey to Norh Wales! Thank you! Scott is a wonderful guide, inexhaustible about Wales and the area with a liverpuldian sense of humor!

We were gifted a Virgin Experience so I’m not sure what the title of this tour is.
We were picked up promptly in Liverpool for a tour of the Lake District. We visited Lake Windermere where we enjoyed the trip on a boat, followed by a steam train ride. We were then picked up again, at the station by our driver/guide, Dave.
Dave was friendly and knowledgeable and gave us plenty of stops for photos and comfort breaks. The trip is suitable for all abilities, as the minibus was parked close to amenities but those who wished to, could walk a little further.
A very enjoyable experience, (and even though it rained heavily at home, the weather in The Lakes was great for us, being warm and dry.)

Lake district tour with Marc . Such a lovely day out totally enhanced by Marc's professional and warm manner. Absolutely no hitches, plenty of time at all our stops, boat trip was lovely as was steam train ride. Very comfortable coach. Do not miss out on this when you visit Liverpool.

Visiting the Lake District our small group had the ten lake tour which was a full day in May. We really got to see alot & our driver, Tim, was such a bonus as he was so knowledgeable & humorous, our day was brilliant. Thankfully the day had great weather too but Tim went out of his way to give us a good experience & clearly he was passionate about this beautiful area. Thanks Mountain Goat Tours & Tim our driver.

We booked with mountain goat for the ten lake tour, it was a great day out and Tim our driver, explained everything before we started, and traveling to different destinations told us what we needed to know, this was our second trip with mountain goat and thoroughly recommend it.

My husband and I had a great time during the Day trip. Tim is very friendly and extremely knowledgable. He explained the history of each place in detail. He also went extra mile such as suggesting best places to take pictures and take photo for us. We had a fantastic time and would absolutely recommend the trip with Tim as a guide and a safe driver.Thank you Tim you make our day is an unmemorable day is our life.

My wife me and two friends did the 10 lakes tour last Friday with Tony as our driver/tour guide it was one of the best tours we have taken in a long time I have been coming to the lakes for 50 years and was shown thinks I had not seen before

A great day out full of beautiful scenery on top of the North Yorkshire Moors and charming villages. Whitby is a lovely place full of character and fresh fish and chips. Plenty to see and Jet jewellery shops in the old town. Steep steps down from the old Abbey ruins but spectacular views from the top of the coastline. John P ? gave us a commentary all the way with fascinating facts on history and geography and humorous stories. No steam train as too late in the year unfortunately. Definitely recommend this trip and company as have been on tours with them in the Lake District

Today has been the very best day for many years. I have seen the most amazing views, and met the most wonderful people. Tony (Steve Harvey lookalike!) was an absolute gem as our driver. Thank you so much for making the whole day entertaining and interesting. I can't wait to do it all again in summer!
