I was referred to David CHEUNG for my eye condition relating to my thyroid. Each time I have seen him he has been pleasant and polite. He recently performed lower lid blepharoplasty on both eyes the results are exceptional. He has transformed my eyes from being dark and baggy to bright with no bags. Everyone comments how good my eyes now look.
Would highly recommend Mr CHEUNG.

Dr David Cheung is a highly skilled surgeon with excellent communication skills. I was impressed with the thorough consultation and David’s ability to communicate complex medical principles with clarity. David took the time to explain the structure of the eye and the procedure in detail – managing expectations and providing an honest assessment.

David specialises in eye surgery so I knew I was going to be in good hands.

The surgery itself was painless. The anaesthetist provided great patient care and was reassuring throughout my time at the Centre. My recovery was super quick with the mild swelling and bruising gone by day 10.

I was impressed with the results and David’s personable and friendly approach. David was always on hand to answer any questions pre and post-surgery. Great patient care, thank you.

Mr Cheung explained the procedure to remove a lower lid BCC fully so I knew exactly what would happen on the day.The following day the lower lid was reconstructed. The outcome has been a complete removal with no ongoing issues. The operation has left no visible scar and no interference with vision.

Mr Cheung was kind and considerate and explained everything in detail. The procedure was to remove a left inner canthal basal cell carcinoma and reconstruct with Glabella flap. Mr Cheung talked to me throughout making me at relative ease. I was discharged the same day but seen again quickly to check progress. The scar is noticeable but will fade with time. Given the alternative I am pleased with the final outcome.

I had total confidence in Mr Cheung from the start. He diagnosed a BCC without hesitation. He showed me pictures online of similar cases, and how they progressed. Mr. Cheung described the procedure in some detail, and made it seem quite straightforward. My only criticism is that he did not convey the discomfort involved in having several weeks with the use of one eye. Or maybe I just didn't take that on board.
Mr. Cheung's manner throughout the procedures was friendly and informative. He did a great job.

After many years of considering surgery to remove excess upper eyelid skin, I finally decided to go ahead when (after a lot of research) I had an initial consultation with David Cheung. The fact that he specialises in eye surgery was very important to me and his manner, professionalism and detailed consultation was so reassuring. The aftercare service was fantastic and although I am only 2 weeks post surgery I am so pleased with the results.

Mr Cheung put me at ease from first meeting. I could tell from the way he described the procedure and the information he gave me that he was knowledgeable and experienced. I would recommend him to others.

I had been researching this procedure for years for my under eye problem. I chose the right surgeon for me, he was everything that I wanted. He was honest, extremely experienced and possibly one of the best in this delicate area of surgery. Now my eyes look younger, less tired and regenerated.

Mr David Cheung has demonstrated that he is a highly skilled specialist, yet has a down to earth and easygoing bedside manner.
My initial consultation was through.
I was offered several options for a treatment plan and these were clearly explained.
At the end of the consultation I was given time to ask questions and was sent home with lots of literature to read.
There were questions and queries I had in between appointments; Mr Cheung always responded to these rapidly, I really appreciated this given his demanding schedule.
I had Mohs micrographic surgery to remove a basal cell carcinoma from near my right eye, then reconstruction following this.
The initial surgery (excision and biopsy) was easy to tolerate, the anaesthetic eye drops numbed the area ready for local anaesthetic to be injected.
I received great nursing care and was discharged home soon after the short procedure. I recovered well at home free from pain. I had a large bandage covering my eye which stayed in situ until the next surgery.
The following week was the reconstruction. I was given different options of how this could be carried out. Mr Cheung was frank and honest answering my questions and concerns so that I could make the right choice.
The nursing and theatre staff were amazing in taking care of me with such warmth and attention. Everyone I encountered was friendly and encouraging.
I was put at ease when Mr Cheung began playing his music in theatre at the start of the procedure. The local anaesthetic was not so comfortable to tolerate this time as there was already a wound present, but it was over so quickly not feeling a thing throughout.
I was discharged home shortly after returning from theatre and although I felt pain later that evening, regular painkillers was all I needed.
My dressing was removed a couple of days post reconstruction and although I was nervous to see, the outcome was better than anticipated.
I had my stitches etc removed a week later. This was painless as Mr Cheung used the anaesthetic eye drops. He was pleased with the result and although it’s still early days in the healing process for me to see the full impact of the surgery, me and my family were impressed with the intricate work Mr Cheung had carried out.
I am soon to start applying a silicone treatment to help improve the look of the scar in the long term, so I am eager to see the results over the coming months.

I will never ever be able to thank David enough for what he has done for me.
Four weeks post operation bilateral lower eyelid blepharoplasty, and it has exceeded my expectations and given me my sparkle back.
Friends and family say that it has taken years off me and I am no longer upset when I see myself in the mirror.
I would also like to thank the anaesthetist, nurses and staff at the Westbourne Centre for taking such great care of me on the day.
It truly was a pleasant experience and not what I had imagined in my own mind. I healed extremely quickly, had no pain and bruising was virtually undetectable within a fortnight.
From the initial consultation with David, he made me feel at ease. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly so that I understood exactly what was going to happen on the day of surgery and post surgery.
I was a very anxious patient and had plenty of questions for David which he always answered promptly by email.
If anyone is looking to get this done, I would say go to David and just get on and do it. I wish I'd had it done years ago.

I was referred to see Dr Cheung by my optician because my lower eyelids were entropian and this meant my eyelashes would stick in my eye causing pain and discomfort.
Dr Cheung examined both eyes and immediately put me at ease by explaining the surgery needed and answered any questions I had.
I had two separate operations conducted under local anesthetic which involved drops and injections to numb the area and the procedures were painless. Each took about half an hour.
I was treated very politely, efficiently and caringly by all the staff involved and was sent home with medication and a list of things to do/ not do after the operation.
After the second operation I got an infection for which I was treated with antibiotic eye cream and it disappeared.
I was very impressed with the treatment I received and Dr Cheung has a great sense of humour which helped me to feel more relaxed about everything.
I would highly recommend this Consultant and as a result my eyesight has improved greatly.

I have had an operation for entropian on my right eye performed by David Cheung.
From the start of my problem, I have had a 5 Star experience, and cannot praise the NHS staff and David enough.
The treatment was explained to me fully and in layman’s terms so that there was never any confusion.
The operation went well and I am now fully operational again.

I originally went to Mr Cheung for fillers, but he explained why this would be possible, but a better option would be surgery. After some thought I went with his advice and booked in for a lower blepharoplasty

On the day of the surgery, he and his team made me feel very relaxed. I was back home within a couple of hours with aftercare advice and saw him again the following week.

Delighted every day that I had this done. David Cheung is an expert and meticulous surgeon, caring, communicative and an all-round lovely guy. If you're considering any surgery that is going to involve your eyes, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to you. I had a bilateral blepharoplasty earlier in the year to correct ptosis, reduce bags and generally cheer up my sad looking eyes. I'm so pleased I did it. More to the point, I'm so happy David did it. I didn't consult any other surgeons, having read the many positive reviews of his work. He carried out a very thorough examination of my eyes at the consultation, took all the measurements and photos he needed and explained everything clearly and fully. I was referred by my GP to Mr.David Cheung because of my droopy eyelids. At the initial consultation, I found Mr. Cheung to be very friendly, thorough and informative. I was also given lots of information to take home to read. I was very reassured when I went to the hospital Day Case Unit to have the procedure.
Mr.Cheung came to speak to me and checked everything prior to the procedure. He took great care in checking that my eyes looked even and the whole process was pain free. I had been quite anxious and fearful before, but need not have been.
Following the procedure, I returned home and my family were immediately impressed to see what a difference it had made. I had a follow up appointment with Mr. Cheung after six days and both he and I were very pleased with the results.
