I ordered my Churchman's Churchman's Prescriptor at 3pm on Thursday and it was on my desk by 9am Monday, very good postage from the UK to Ireland.

As for the pen itself, it's an absolute beauty to look at and a dream to write with. It really has the smoothest nib I've ever used; it quite literally glides across the page like a knife slicing through butter. It's got perfect balance posted or unposted and really looks the part. Oddly enough for what is a heavy pen it doesn't feel heavy at all and I've been writing with it for hours at a time. Once again a super product and superb customer service and from Mr. Pen. Needless to say but I am really looking forward to their next pen and the name it is given.

Both pens write with a smoothness that I normally get with my Visconti/Montblanc pens.
The italix pens were brought to be working pens (as opposed to my collection pen). So far they have not disappointed. They give a good wet line and even make my writing look better!!

Italix Parson's Essential green, medium cursive stub. One of the best writing experiences ever. Top notch nib work. Reliable and smooth. Using Aurora black ink. The only downside is it will lower your opinion of the more expensive pens in your collection.

I was thrilled to bits to find a firm which supplied good italic pens with plenty of choice. I chose a standard medium italic nib and I love the performance of this pen: nicely weighted with or without the cap; good ink flow consistently, and a distinctive result. As for the service - that was amazing - the pen arrived the next afternoon! The only thing that was not clear was that the pen comes with a 'convertor' (i.e. it can be filled from a bottle) as standard; I ordered some cartridges because this was not clear so now I have a choice. I would not hesitate to recommend MrPen to other fountain pen affionciados. Thank you for all-round excellence. I won't be able to resist the temptation to return!

I came across the site when looking for a quality, but value for money fountain pen and I have to say I have not been disappointed. Also ordered a leather pen case afterwards and am very impressed overall.

I am fairly new to fountain pens after being away from them for 40 years. I just received my new Parsons Essential, Amber with a medium italic nib. I've waited for about two weeks for it to arrive and it was worth every minute.
I foolishly inked it right away and paid the price with great gobs of Noodler's Bulletproof Black dropping on my page. I then cleaned the nib section and converter, re-inked it and wow! Absolutely smooth, fluid and gorgeous lines on Clairefontaine paper. I couldn't be happier. This is my second pen in a month since starting over again with FP's and so far, 2 for 2.

I stumbled across P. J. Ford & Associates Ltd and the Italix range of pens whilst browsing the better known ( but not better ) brands. Pens have always fascinated me - yes, I need to get out more - and I have been trying to find a pen which is similar in style to the old-fashioned fountain pens of decades ago and in the Parson's Essential range, by Italix, i think I've found one. Matters were not helped when Mr Pen were let down by their suppliers who sent the wrong nibs. I wanted a fine normal and medium only had been supplied. Mistakes like this do happen and it's how you deal with them that's important. P.J. Ford were exemplary. I was immediately offered either a refund or a substitute and, as the substitute was the other nib which I had been originally considering, I accepted it. The pen arrived next day by Special Delivery and, at the time of writing, is all I had hoped it would be- very well made, good to handle, a reliable writer and very attractively presented. It appears to be an excellent product at a very competitive price.
Despite the hiccup by the suppliers I was kept promptly informed all along and gained the definite impression that I was dealing with an outfit that really care (and know) about their product and customer service. Their website is very well set-out and informative and the range of nibs and refills is exceptional in this age of mass production.
I'm really glad that stumbled across P.J. Ford & Associates. the whole transaction could have been frustrating but was made very satisfactory. Good seller, great product, I'll be back. There's a nice-looking ballpoint..........

Great shop, the ordering was easy and my purchase arrived much quicker than I expected.

My pen arrived scorching hot as it travelled so quickly to me. Luckily, it had to wait for me to catch up in the evening after school. It's a replacement for a much loved Parker 45 which finally rolled into oblivion under the wheels of my colleague's car. Sadly, not even a steel barreled 45 will withstand such treatment and my beloved left-foot oblique was no more, and so, a school-resistant replacement was needed.

Mr Pen's Italix Parson's Essential will fill the bill splendidly. I've already had to remove it from the grasp of one student bent on making off with it, and frankly, there is no finer recommendation. Thank you for your prompt service - it won't be the last I buy.

I ordered a Parson's Essential with broad cursive stub at 0700 my time, 1400 London time on a Saturday. I didn't expect them to acknowledge or ship until the following Monday, so I was surprised and pleased to get a shipment notice almost immediately. The pen arrived here 7 days later. The pen is amazing. As soon as I picked it up I knew I was holding a very substantial piece of equipment. The nib is smooth and wet, and also visually impressive. I'm pleased with the pen and the speed and efficiency of the service.

I'm in my late 40s and I have been a fountain pen user for my entire life. I've got a number of expensive pens, many of which I have had for years. I've bought cheap pens for every day use and never really enjoyed using them. Last year I discovered the Mr Pen range of Italix pens. My first was a Parson's Essential, then I bought a Churchman's Prescriptor, and now I have just bought a Captain's Commission. I cannot put into words how good these pens are. They are great value for money and a joy to use. The build quality is as good, if not better, than pens double or triple the price.

Once used you will find it difficult to stop using them. I use to rotate my pens. Fill, use and then rest. With three Italix pens I find I am not using my other pens. I am just rotating between the three Italix models I own (Parson's, Churchman's and now the Captains).

Finally, the sales/after sales support from Mr Pen is also excellent. I look forward to adding to my collection as and when new models are released.
