The overall holiday experience is frequently described as amazing, with smooth embarkation and disembarkation processes adding to the positive sentiment. However, some customers also noted issues with slow service at bars and in dining rooms, and a few found the food quality to be poor or cold, especially in the buffet. There were occasional complaints about overcrowding, particularly on sea days and in buffet areas, and some felt that facilities like pools or outdoor spaces were not always ideal. Additionally, a small portion of people experienced problems with staff attitude or disorganization during excursions and transfers.

A wonderful family cruise

A wonderful family cruise, lots to see and enjoy both on and off the ship. Loved Valletta. Lovely clean cabin room and helpful concierge. Plenty of room around the pool. Food at the buffet and restaurant had a good variety. Lots for the children to do, I would recommmend a fun pass. Great on board coffee shop and ice cream. Staff friendly. Only down side was other cruisers smoking in most bar areas as we are non smokers.

I am very disappointed with this…

I am very disappointed with this cruise. This was my second experience with MSC, and unfortunately it was completely different from my first cruise on MSC World America, which was excellent.

The issues started during embarkation in Marseille, where the organization was poor, communication was unclear, and the staff was often unfriendly. We waited more than an hour and were sent back and forth several times before boarding.

The dining experience was also disappointing. The food quality was average at best, both in the restaurant and at the buffet, and the portions were very small. The service was not particularly welcoming, and we were even seated on plastic chairs on several occasions. One restaurant manager was especially rude when we politely asked about changing our dinner time, shouting at us that the restaurant was closed.

We also experienced an issue with housekeeping when a bottle containing medication was broken in our cabin. The spilled liquid was cleaned up, but nobody informed us, and we discovered the broken bottle ourselves.

In addition, the entertainment and communication felt heavily focused on Italian guests, making other nationalities feel less included. We were also surprised to see a Guest Experience Ambassador dedicated specifically to American guests, which gave the impression that not all guests receive the same level of attention.

Finally, smoking and vaping rules were not properly enforced. We regularly saw passengers vaping or smoking in non-designated areas, despite reporting it to crew members.

More generally, the entertainment and onboard activities felt very average and lacked the energy and quality we expected. Even during events and shows, we often saw plastic chairs being used instead of making full use of the theater or creating a more enjoyable atmosphere. Small details like these gave us the impression that very little effort was being made to enhance the guest experience and make this cruise feel special.

Overall, this cruise fell far below the standards I expected from MSC after my excellent experience on MSC World America. I hope these comments help improve the experience for future guests.

MSC cruise was an amazing experience

MSC cruise was an amazing experience, Yacht club is an extremely luxurious experience whilst also being extreme convenience for guests. Outside of yacht club in the standard ship. Service and food is still excellent and cleanliness is top across whole of the ship

MSC Above and Beyond

Overall a special experience in yacht club, all staff, friendly, attentive, professional and the ship is out of this world, the crew and captain kept us informed and it was a seamless experience.

Overall

Overall, the itinerary was good. However, many of the plates in the buffet restaurant were dirty, and some lipstick marks on the glasses had not been properly cleaned off. This really lowered the overall experience.

Snobby cruisers rude to staff

Cleaning. Eg carpet edges not as good as other ships.
Shower curtain..... Yuk.
Not your fault, but other cruisers rude to M S C staff.... Perhaps education is required for the demographic of your clients that is attracted for this area..rude Italians on cruise ships it seems but pleasant when not on ships.

Overall a simply stunning experience

Overall a simply stunning experience. Only downfall was the over crowded pool area and the busy buffet area could be quite chaotic at times. Would suggest a one way system which would save people bumping into each other .
